He said, grinning to his old friend and the one he loved no matter what, the one he could not, would not see harmed, and the one who he would protect to the death. Tamotsu was all these things to Tsubame, which was enough reason to risk his life, besides, Tamotsu knew that Tsubame had the best shot of getting information and getting home alive. His face was unknown to the enemy and he was the best scout this village had. Besides, he wouldn't be going in alone, he already had a partner picked for a Two-Person Team. Two people would be much harder to detect than an entire team. At last, he pulled off his necklace, clasping it onto Tamotsu. "I'll be coming back for that."

Tamotsu looked at Tsubame and smiled. He once more felt odd emotions that he had long for again and then blushed. He leaned up on his tip toes and kisses Tsubame as if they were lovers for many years. "Don't forget that you promised then. Because if you don't come back, I'll kill you myself." Tamotsu said as he went back to his feet and then looked at Tsubame. He didn't expect much from him but had a feeling in him. He looked away as he held the necklace around his neck a moment and then sighed. "After all these years of hiding from all of you... It would be you..." He looked down. "... I love." He said looking away now.

"I share your sentiments, I guess I can say that I love you too...Tamotsu." As Tsubame said this, he thought on the words he just used and nodded slightly, indeed he did love Tamotsu. He walked towards the balcony swiftly, before turning around and giving another smile to Tamotsu. At last, he stepped out onto the balcony, glancing upwards as Kurenai landed on his shoulder. Raising his hands, he held the ird hand sign to gather his chakra, then was off into flight above Konohagakure. It was funny because for the first time in a while, Tsubame actually felt true freedom.

Where was he when I ndded him a long time ago?" Tamotsu said softly to himself. He closed his eyes and then felt the wind blow against him. He sighed as he wanted to turn back and see him again but he wouldn't. He was afraid to at this moment. He sighed as he took his seat and then closed his eyes again. "Tsubame... I love you. It might not be something simple to explain, but I will understand in time."

"I understand, Tamotsu. I should have been there when you needed me, and yet I wasn't, it was folly of my own, not yours." Three plumes of brilliant blue were left in the wake that Tsubame had left behind, he had also wished for Tamotsu to turn and fae him before departing, and yet understood as to why he could not. Tamotsu was facing something that he needed to face and think about alone, he need time to sort out emotions that he had about Tsubame and Tsubame could understand this. In the mean time, Tsubame would do his best to support the Hokage that he loved so much.
