Um, just to bring this topic back up, Madara killed his best friend to obtain MS. He then killed his brother. As to why Kakashi gained Sharingan, no one knows because it hasn't been stated in the manga yet.
So you can gain Mangekyou, and hey, if you find a second Mangekyou user, you cna even obtain Eternal Mangekyou but, you still have to Kill Your best friend and then kill the other Mangekyou user and then transplant his eyes with medical ninjutsu or a special jutsu.

And here's where you are wrong my friend. If you are up on the manga, you would know that Madara's brother sacrificed himself so that he could have the Mangekyo. In Kakashi's case, Obito sort of sacrificed himself for Kakashi, so that's why he has the Mangekyo. In Sasuke's case, Itachi sacrificed himself etc. So it's either kill your closest person against his will (which was supposed in the original idea), or have him sacrifice himself for you.

Actually, I thought it said that Madara and his brother obtained Mangekyou and then Madara over used his Mangekyou and went blind and his brother sacrificed himself to give Madara his Mangekyou making Madara's Mangekyou an Eternal Mangekyou.....I dunno about you but, that's what I read. Plus I think in Chapter 399-400 Madara said, "I killed my closest friend, and my brother, only to be betrayed by my village."
Not unless he was talking about the same person, his brother being his closest friend aswell.

That hasn't been proven yet. True Obito saved Kakashi by allowing himself to be crushed by a boulder but, why did Kakashi develope his Mangekyou 20 years later and not directly when he obtained Sharingan?
They haven't revealed exactly why Kakashi has Mangekyou yet, not unless I missed a chapter....in which may be the case...Your sacrifice idea about Kakashi may be true but, only time can tell.
