AYame sits in a lotus position with her one leg on top of the other as she closes her eyes feeling the wind around her. It feels as the she has missed something her whole life. As though that she never truely embarced. Her mother never taught her how it feels to be one with her element. As she felt the wind around, she realized that her senses were starting to go off and the feeling she was getting was that the wind was trying to help her, that it was showing her how it could be a weapon but also the greatest element of all. She opens her eyes and looks over at Caleb, "I think all these years I have missed something."

Caleb looks at her, suprised of the maturity of her words. It also reminds him how he's not a fullblood and the fact his connection to the wind it weaker. He hangs his head for a minute, in deep thought. He shakes his head, clearing it. "Alright, take the guide the wind to hit that target over there." He points at the kunai targets. "Get close though, your range will be limited as a genin. Wait here I can show you. My style can still hit things within five feet." He walks up to his target and swings his arm to the right, as if he was trying to elbow strike the target. A green shockwave of wnd hits is and it shakes a little.

Ayame nods walking up to the target, she looks back at Caleb, "Just to let you know I am better at close range fighting." She states and turns around and walks towards the target. She looks at it and closes her eyes. Feeling the wind around her she puts her right arm out. She opens her eyes and swings it, seeing the wind push forward towards the target. It wasn't as strong as Caleb's and she sighed. She knew that this would take some time to do but all she had to do was practice on it. She turned and looked at Caleb, "Well that just sucked."

He scratches his head and his ear twitches. "Well I am a rank above you, but your doing better than I was when I was a genin. I didn't even learn this until after becoming a chuunin." he smirks. "I'll teach you my style, just promise to teach it to no one else. Alright, do this." he creates that wind sheath around his arm. "This is also kind of an excercise in chakra and wind control. It most be stable enough to fore you to strike someone with it and not break. But there's no reason to put in excess. At first you'll see plenty of green wind chakra around your arms, but it'll get harder to notice as you go."

Ayame nods, "All right I'll try this again." She closes her eyes and feels the wind swirl around her. She opens her eyes and sees the wind swirl like a sheath around her right arm. She runs towards the target hitting it with the wind sheath around her arm. She smiles as the green shockwave hits it. She looks at the target and sighs, she feels like there is something more she could do. She jumps back and calls the wind around her arm again as she charges the target hitting it. She turns and looks at Caleb, "I think there is more I can do. I just need to figure out what it is."

Caleb sighs a little, "I didn't say attack the target, I just said form wind around your arms. The point of this next excercise it the stabilization of these "wind sheaths", as I call them. You need to circulate chakra through them regularly so they won't disappear after you attack with them. Much like when your water walking you'll need to adjust the chakra feed through them. This adjustment is to made to keep the sheath intact, while using a minium of chakra." He looks off for a minute as his tail swings to one side, "Just picture your connect to the wind, that should help you keep them stable."

Ayame nods and closes her eyes feeling her chakra flow through her body. She concentrates on sending the chakra to her right arm. Feeling the chakra become stronger she opens her eyes and sees that a green wind is circulating around her forearm. As she looks too her left arm she sees the wind circulating around it as well.She looks over at Caleb and smiles softly. "Hey this was easier then water walking. I think I got the hang of it." She smiles softly still concentrating on the wind connection around her. She knows that her connection is the most important thing in this technique.

He was considering taking her by suprise, but he didn't want to hurt her. "The last part isn't directly connected to the windsheaths. It's a blast of wind. You focus wind and chakra into ball and shoot it for a small amount damage. It's more of a distraction, but the damage can add up." Caleb admires Ayame's adaptability, and was even a little jealous. Was this because of her being a fullblood, a good learner, or both? Kung Fu genius maybe? He thought to himself, chuckling outloud at the last thought.

Ayame nods and concentrates her chakra into her arms, the wind circulating around her arms. She smirks and takes a dead run towards the log. She hit the log exerting pressure onto it denting it. She looks back at Caleb and walks back towards him. The next thing he had explained to her sounded a little tricky but she had great chakra control, she stood with her right palm face up concentrating on the wind and her chakra. The wind circulated around her palm as her chakra and wind swirled in a clockwise direction. SHe held the ball in her hand and then shot it at one of the kunai targets, "Wow this pretty cool!"
