Description: Renge, a series of high-speed hand-to-hand combat moves. Because of its high speed and power it requires a lot of stamina and it strains the muscles. Should be used with caution.

IC: Shu stood in the forest surrounding Konoha village. A clear site of the village was before him, and he was definitely impressed. Konoha was filled with more greenery than the desert he was use too, and more people moved around its streets. They were unprepared for war, as it seemed they were in peacetime. Shu understood the need for the Kage to keep the village calm, but to be this open? He doubted the village gate guards would even stop him from entering the village. With a sigh, Shu let his sack fall to the ground. It was filled about halfway with food and two scrolls. One scroll held the mental technique to perform the Renge Lotus, and the other held the various taijutsu stances and required strength. Shu sat down next to the scrolls and picked up the one about mental ability. He started to intensely read it, learning about the jtusu.

The scroll described the ways of channeling chakra through the body to reinforce it in case of weakness. There were various descriptions of how to increase your strength when you weren't strong enough to use the jutsu, there was a final description all the way at the bottom describing the difference in the jutsu when the first gate was open. Shu skimmed this over and mainly focused on the section describing the basic way to perform the jutsu. It involved the amount of speed needed and showed the combo move that would be inflicted on the opponent. Shu moved his arms and legs as he read, pantomiming the move before he did it. It seemed simple enough to Shu but the only problem for him was that he read the part about the extreme risk with too much speed. His muscles would start to suffer if he moved too much past their limit. Shu let out a sigh as he stood up and walked over to a tree. He then pinned the scroll holding the info over the taijutsu moves and stances to the tree with his tanto.

Shu held his hands out in front of him in the first stance of the Lotus. He held the form while looking to his right at the scroll pinned to the tree. With slow deliberate moves he entered the first attack, a straight palm thrust under one of his arms. The rest of the moves came to him easily. A powerful hook with the arm above the first attack, an uppercut with the arm not used in the hook, bringing the opponents head to his knee, a push to move the opponent into range for the final attack, a roundhouse that could bring down a tree. Shu understood the fact about the danger and strain to his own body. With the extreme speed of this jutsu, the opponent just hitting his body, would bruise it or hurt it. But the obvious strength of the move was apparent, and Shu felt the need to exercise this move in practice before he actually used it in battle. He reentered the original stance for the Renge Lotus he had started in.

"Hoooooo....." Shu let out a deep breathe before he started to enter the beginning of the jutsu. He slowly refocused his chakra to his arms and his legs. The warmth of his own chakra felt good on his extremities, and it gave him the energy to start the jutsu. When his chakra had been appropriately gathered for the jutsu to work, Shu began it. "Hah! Renge Lotus!" His chakra ignited and the jutsu began. A blurring palm thrust erupted from under his stance, followed by the powerful right hook. His arm once again blurred into the position of an uppercut, but instead of bringing the opponents head down, Shu revamped the jutsu to his own liking changing this move to him doing a backflip where his knee would come to the opponents face instead. This obviously changed the next move, the push, to where he would kick the opponent back with his foot instead of using his arms. This was done immediately after the knee to the head, so the back flip wouldn't be interrupted. He landed and immediately changed the next move to accommodate the backflip he just did. The new move was a front flip leading to a smashing heel drop to the opponent's already battered head. After the front flip, Shu collapsed to the ground. He started to pant heavily and waited to catch his breathe after the very hard to perform jutsu.

Shu slowly regained his breathe while laying on the ground. There was an inconvenient lump on Shu's chest, and he realized it was the newly acquired weights he had gotten. He smiled as he reached back behind him and slapped the release on the straps so the weight dropped to the ground. With the lessening of his weight, Shu crawled back to the scroll describing the mental having to do with the jutsu. A quick look brought him back to the section holding the information about the second time doing the jutsu. It listed many lines of information saying that the jutsus uses little chakra, mostly just physical energy. Then it continued to say that to perform the jutsu one more time, the user can replace the needed physical energy with an amount of chakra, allowing the move to be performed one more time. Shu slapped his forehead as he realized he needed to try this at least once. Before he was going too he had a second thought. "Sh**....all I need to do is memorize this...I don't need to do it. Thank god!" Shu struggled to stand up then held the chakra molding stance.

A slow breathe escaped him, and he focused his mind. His pained muscles relaxed themselves, and his chakra awakened itself in anticipation of action. Shu slowly moved the chakra making sure to have it go in the right direction. The flow was also important so Shu decided to heighten the flow enough to keep it coming. Chakra flowed in to replace the energy lost in his arms and legs. The familiar feeling of himself flowing through him, calmed his body to almost sleep state. His energy restored itself temporarily as his chakra lowered. Before he had gathered enough to perform the jutsu again, Shu cut it off. His chakra and energy were about at the same level, and Shu was feeling good with himself. "Not too shabby! I think I got that jutsu down. Time to head back and report I guess. I bet mom would want to know.." Shu went over and gathered his things. He then started to walk in the direction of Suna.
