I disagree. The 5 member thing needs to stay. Now, I am not going to directly reffer to Naruto. But do you think some random shinobi can one day decide, "Hey, I wanna clan." and make it only himself. That is not a clan. Let us refer to the dictionary:

Now let me point out that it says group in each of those. A group cannot be 1 person. A group can be 2 people, but in the Naruto world a clan cannot consist of 2 people. Especially genin.
Now the ruling of having a jounin. This person acts as an elder. Notice in the dictionary definition of "clan":

Also for the sake of the forum we need to insure the clan will be active. During the olden times when it was just 100 post for a clan and you were good. We had EVERYONE with a clan. Above you stated about the "dead" clans. Well this isnt about clan dying. It is about the entire world having a bloodline. Bloodlines are RARE! To help make them more rare, this rule was implented.
I also think there might be a conflict of interest in this topic? I noticed Yuwea wanted to make a clan. And you bring this up right when he wants to make it?

First of all i agree (duh) seond of all I have 3-4 to four people. I'm not saying totaly remove the people need just lighten it please. Hell even add too posts needed or up the rank. 5 is just alot for a site with about 40 active people. And it makes for alot of none unique chars walking around.

Yes, I still have one. First of all, the dictionary definition is invalid since we don't go by any of the dictionary definitions. For example, bloodlines, jutsu, ninja, are all terms we use incorrectly simply because the show uses it incorrectly. I don't see why another term being incorrect would be a problem.
Secondly, you still haven't disproven my theory that 12.5% of the active members need to be in the clan. Actually, this percentage would be higher, so the discontent would only grow.
And thirdly, bloodlines would not be rare in the implementation of this rule. In fact, they would only grow exponentially. Since a full five people must be in the clan, and if they so agree to it, then another 12.5% would have a bloodline. If we were to fill all the clans, we would most likely have around 85-95% of the people on this site with a bloodline.
And whether or not someone else has a conflict of interest is of no importance to me, so you might as well keep arguing with me. I understand your point. but I am not directly saying, it is the dictionery, we go by it. I am just reinforcing my point of you need alot of people to be in a clan for it to be considered a clan. Ahhh... but you're talking 5 RPC's. You know there can be NPC's who are members of the clan, and there would then be more. Still, I get your point. There has to be a minimum. I say at least 3 RPC's, though make the minimum posts required anywhere from 250 to 500 and say that the leader can be a NPC, which makes sense. Not all the main characters in Naruto with a bloodline is their clan's leader. In fact, very few are. Maybe you can make it 3 RPC"s join, but then like 2-5 people "Agree" with the clan.
So you have people agreeing, but not joining, and 3 RPC's joining.
The three RPC's would count towards the 5 people agreeing.
To put it simply.
-Minimum of 3 RPC's to join the clan
-Minimum of 5 people to "Agree" to make the clan.
I like that idea. Or make it so You MUST have 3 People to Join, One Chuunin+, and 2 Staff Members Must Approve, and 0 Staff members can say no. In other words you need 2 to approve it and if ANY staff member jumps in and says "No" then it cannot be done. _________________ Funniest Quote Ever:
