Eric's kage bunshin had ran all the way from the land of waves to Otogakure. Judging by how shuriken and kunai were thrown at the clone the moment the guards saw him, they had been ordered to kill on sight. Waving the letter around, they stopped for one moment as he taped it to the door and then poofed out of existance.
The letter said,
"Zieg-sama,
You're probably wondering why I returned Reileyn and did nothing to stop her. I'll tell you why, if you can meet me without killing me on sight. I will come weaponless as a show of me being honest. The reason is simple enough, how you react is what affects wether or not we might end up in a fight. Wether or not you bring Reileyn to that meeting is your choice, but do not bring Kiyo. I don't feel like breaking through his wire traps.

Eric Hatake."

A gaurd had noticed the letter left from the obvious shadow clone. He picked it up and looked at it. It was addressed to the Otokage. He scratched his head as Kiyo came down above him and landed next to him. He had been snooping around the village for a while and noticed the small battle to rid of the clone. "Again. Give me that." He grabbed the letter and looked at it. It was addressed to Zieg. He decided to read the letter. "Eric wants a meeting? Heh. I guess I should show it to him." He took the letter and disappeared out of sight. He decided to wait after Reileyn's and Zieg's small meeting before telling him.
