Jun woke up from a good nights rest. He yawned, jumped out of bed and looked outside his window, which was covered in and out with the moisture from the mist. His pure black eyes wandered to the desk where he hid his stolen scrolls. He opened the drawer and pulled out the secret scroll, his hand slightly shaking in fear of not being able to hold his side of the bargain. Ignoring the frightened feeling in his chest, he picked it up and slipped it in his robe, and mentally prepared himself for the day's training session, "Five days left," he thought, "Each second matters."
He made his way through his door, revealing the world outside the comfort of his room. It would have felt like a regular day in any other village, but the thick mist made the day slightly chillier than it was supposed to be. He began his path outside the village, making way to his familiar training spot. One of the guards at the kirigakure entrance stopped Jun in his tracks. _________________ Roleplaying Characters: Otamai, Jun Nikko Coloso Ikego Yokosuka Noko-ido, Minari RPG Stats: Shinobi Rank: C-Genin/C-genin/B-genin Village: Kirigakure/Konohagakure/Iwagakure Fame: 200 Reputation: Training Points: 85 Inventory:
"Otamai Jun?" the Jounin recognized him through Jun's blackness-filled eyes.
Slightly taken back, he answered, "Yea? That's me."
"Norimune-sama has sent out a mission request for you," he pushed a button on his vest and a small scroll fell into his hand. He handed it to Jun, and Jun took it and opened it carefully, analyzing the mission and its details.
"Hmm... why would this be a special request for me?" Jun asked, not seeing how he is especially capable for this mission, when it could've been handed down to any of the shinobi of the village, especially one's who were more powerful, more adept for the mission.
"Norimune said that you would understand, you'll thank him for it later," the jounin said.
Jun shown a slightly confused look, Okay... what is the fastest path to get there?"
As the jounin explained the directions, Jun immediately figured out why he was chosen for this particular mission. His clan was not too far off from the trail, only a about half an hour off actually, "Hmm...seems as if karma is on my side," he thanked the jounin and began his way back to the village. _________________ Roleplaying Characters: Otamai, Jun Nikko Coloso Ikego Yokosuka Noko-ido, Minari RPG Stats: Shinobi Rank: C-Genin/C-genin/B-genin Village: Kirigakure/Konohagakure/Iwagakure Fame: 200 Reputation: Training Points: 85 Inventory:
At his house, he filled his backpack with a week's amount of snacks, his money pouch, and the five other scrolls he had stolen. He made his way to the once-kage mansion, leaped into the secret passageway, and returned the five other scrolls, holding onto the secret scroll to train while on his journey. As quietly and quickly he entered the passageway, he left, and officially began his trek to the horse races, where he was to meet Zacharia, the mission requester.
There were several paths he could use to get there. The path he would use to get there was over the water in a boat, which will get him there in a little less than a day. On the way back, he decided to return to the village on foot, where he could visit his clan and family, that way he could reunite with them at least for a little bit, and allow the secret scroll to see the more advanced Otamai.
His steps seemed short and slow as he made his way to the docks. _________________ Roleplaying Characters: Otamai, Jun Nikko Coloso Ikego Yokosuka Noko-ido, Minari RPG Stats: Shinobi Rank: C-Genin/C-genin/B-genin Village: Kirigakure/Konohagakure/Iwagakure Fame: 200 Reputation: Training Points: 85 Inventory:
At the docks, he reached into his pouch and paid the conductor. His steps creaked against the crooked wood and seeing how most people were on the deck looking out into the ocean, he decided to take a seat against the outer wall, enjoy the sounds of the wave crashing, and the steady rocking of the boat as it set sail. He rested his right elbow on his right knee, put his head down and slowly closed his eyes. He thoroughly began to enjoy the trip, and the majesty of all the sounds the sea had to offer. The waves crashing, the seagulls talking, the sound of many people talking at once surrounded him. He wanted to continue his training, but didn't feel safe with all the people around, and he didn't exactly trust the wood, not believing that it really is sturdy and capable of a beating. Time went on, and within a couple of hours, a cowbell rang followed by the voice of the conductor, "We are approaching the first dock, for those entering Earth Country, this is your stop!"
People of all sorts entered and exited the ship. For the first time, Jun was able to get a glimpse of the Earth Country and it's people. He began to feel uncomfortable, there was not one person he trusted on the boat. He sighed, "One more stop." _________________ Roleplaying Characters: Otamai, Jun Nikko Coloso Ikego Yokosuka Noko-ido, Minari RPG Stats: Shinobi Rank: C-Genin/C-genin/B-genin Village: Kirigakure/Konohagakure/Iwagakure Fame: 200 Reputation: Training Points: 85 Inventory:
Bored, he used his ears to pinpoint other shinobi hidden in the crowd, "One," he looked over to his left and saw a person with a bigger build with his arm baring the symbol for Iwagakure. The first was easy to pinpoint as the shinobi was easily a good foot taller than the civilians.
"Two," he looked to his right, and saw another shinobi, one of a skinny build and tanned skin. He had nunchuks attached to his right hip, and his headband bared the mark of Iawgakure, showing the symbol at the back of his head.
"Three," he saw a female with a purple hooded robe, and eyes that made Jun's knees weak. Her Iwagakure headband was tied at her wrist like a bracelet.
"Two more in the lounge," he thought.
The cowbell rang once again, "Approaching the next stop! If you have business in Lightning Country, this is the stop for you!" The sea was covered by what seemed like a cloud. Jun grabbed his backpack and blended in with the crowd exiting the boat. The next part of the path was a simple one, follow straight ahead and walk through, or around Kumogakure. On the other side of the mountain is where the races are held. He continued on through the Clouded Coast and towards the village.
