Description: After forming the necessary hand seals, the user will exhale a large mist cloud. This mist is transparent and only slightly hinders the vision of those caught inside, but that is not its purpose at all. This mist is actually highly flammable, a perfect trap for fire ninjutsu users.

Hiroshi had poured over the instructions he had been given at the academy, the scroll containing them sat before him on the ground as he attempted to stuff every little bit of information that it held into his mind. Jutsu training was, by and large, a pretty boring activity but it was also the key to getting stronger.

Stop moaning Hiroshi. You’ve looked at this long enough, let’s give it a go.

Having chosen an area of desert just beyond the city walls to practise his training so as to avoid unnecessary risk to anyone, Hiroshi looked out towards the sand that stretched to the horizon and closed his eyes. Picturing the chakra that he held in his chest as mist, he willed it to mix in with the air in his lungs as he formed the handseals for the jutsu and blew out the chakra fuelled air. What emerged was a smoky haze that seemed to drift unnaturally far considering the amount of breath Hiroshi could hold.

“Now to test its flammability.”

The true reason for Hiroshi choosing this jutsu to learn was tied to the fact that his affinity was for fire. Supposedly, the mist cloud was highly flammable and when used correctly by a fire using shinobi could be used to great effect; assuming one wasn’t caught in the ensuing explosion. As a precaution Hiroshi backed away slightly, his hands forming the handseals for his next move as he retreated.

“Katon housenka no jutsu!”

Several fireballs spat from Hiroshi’s mouth and flew towards the mist cloud, impacting with it and instantly igniting the cloud to cause a large explosion. The brilliant hues were particularly beautiful to the young Suna genin as they showed that, somehow, he had managed to adequately perform the jutsu almost immediately, barring the time he spent studying the technique.

“Tetsuya is not going to be happy about this. I’d probably be better off by not bragging too much.”

Grabbing the scroll and water bottle he had brought with him, Hiroshi trudged off towards the entrance to the Sand village where his friend and teammate was waiting, unaware of the excruciatingly annoying bragging that was to begin shortly.
