Dante, walked silently through the debris and wreckage of what was left of Konoha. His senses were numb and silent, leaving him with and empty feeling that only worsened the saddened and cold sensation that was building in his chest. The mix of sadness and grief that flooded him seemed like to much he could hope to bear at the moment. His footsteps seemed to make no audible sound to him as the hit hard on the stone pathway before him. he had most certainly made the worst mistake of his life not just an hour ago and the dagger that his stabbed into his own heart seemed to be now freezing despite the heat of the day. His chest was filled with an icy pain, and he couldn't get rid of it.

Dante watched his black shinobi sandals move along the ground, it was the only passing of time he could count on, how many steps he took on the path. So far it three thousand and forty-one, he had a million more to go. Dante had switched out his normal red attire for black clothing, his shinobi headband now tied around his neck. His hair let loose and around his face, as it hid his sullen expression from view. he stopped after another thousand steps, and the stone ground had switched to grass two hundred paces back. He looked up, his glassy watered eyes looking at a hundred other figures around him. all wearing black as well, each having dark black hair and black eyes, Some looking as stony and cold as the color that inhabited them, others closest to the a black stained wood box that lied on the grass, where glassy and close to tears just as Dante's.

The wooden box in front of the collected group sat in front of them like a painful omen. white roses sat around the coffin, reaching up to its top as it sat upon its raised platform. The picture of a smiling boy in a white frame sat on top of it, set up by a black support. Dante looked at the boy's face, the tears he had fought back sense then now running down his pale cheeks. They seemed to flood the ground underneath him. He breathed in sharply but he couldn't hear his own sobs. Nothing came to his ears at all. he forced his eyes to look at the small group in front of the rest, their eyes filled with watery sorrow as well. a woman sobbing on the grass, her eyes turning red as her emotions flared up. A small girl stood next to her, she simply looked at the coffin with a blank stare. her small hand reached out and touched the corner. Her gaze falling on the picture.

" Brother, stop hiding. I found you see, I win. Your turn to find me, I'm the ninja now. come one, I found you, come out, Sariu, brother come on. Sariu... Sariu!" A slightly larger boy pulled her back, keeping her away from the coffin as she was still reaching out for it. Dante bit his lip to fight back the tears, trying to black out the emotions. He only succeeded in cutting open his lip, salty tears still fell down his face. Dante stepped back, slipping away in the shadows. He couldn't watch anymore of the funeral, he couldn't stand the seeing the pain he had caused. Dante forced back his sobs, wiped away his tears and moved back toward the uchiha compound. He kept his face straight, denying himself any emotion at all.

He turned the corner to the complex and headed through the gate, his eyes fell on a small picture of Sariu next to the gate where he had died, where Dante had killed him. he pushed past it, keeping all his emotions locked deep inside him. he started to head towards his uncles house, but he stopped when he heard whispers around the corner of the building. " yes it seems that he was killed by a second mob after the rest had left. he must have been caught off guard once he got bored of standing their, He was always one to get bored easily. Sad way to go though, beaten to death." Dante sank near the wall, leaning to listen. " Yeah, sad thing. Wonder if that will make Caleb move into action. One uchiha that would have done something, katsuga. I heard he always brought down punishment if something like this ever happened." Dante raised a brow in surprise, Katsuga, why are they talking about him now. he was dead. " Right, but he is the Mizukage now. he came back after his absence, the other kage died, killed by some woman. he is back to bring the Kiri leader now."

Katsuga... back.. impossible. But, it must be true... why else..." Dante peeled away from the wall, heading off to the middle of town. Making his way quickly to the Kage's tent, since the office was destroyed. he made his way up to the tent and found himself in front of two Anbu. One held up their hand. stopping Dante from entering the tent. " Dante Uchiha, I wish to speak to the Kage. " The first Anbu looked over to the other and motioned for him to enter the tent. The second moved disappeared inside for a second and Dante was left alone with the unknown Anbu. A silent, awkward moment went by and then the Anbu returned. He motioned him inside and Dante stepped forward, moving into the tent....

[Posting As Kage Bunshin]

Caleb's is working on some paperwork dealing with material orders for the village's repair. When the Anbu enters and announces Dante's presence, he nods, "Go ahead and let him in," His cat ears twitch slightly as Dante enters the tent. Beside him stood his advisor, Uchiha Micheal. Caleb looks up from his desk and directly at Dante. "What is your business here? You have to realize I'm a very busy person, so please make this quick." he asks, or rather his clone. He was thankful of the Kage Bunshin technique, it allowed him to deal with work even while he was in actuality not in the village. In the case someone wouldd try and attack him, Micheal would be there to defend him. Noticing the young man was an Uchiha, he gave him a little bit more attention.

Dante stepped in the tent and looked around the makeshift office. there was a desk and stacks of papers everywhere. Caleb Uchiha, the Kage, as well as the uchiha clan leader sat behind it. Dante noticed another person, also an uchiha who was standing by. Dante had seen him before but his name escaped him. Dante looked at the Kage and stood straight as he was addressed. The kage seemed a bit on edge, Dante had to choose his words carefully, otherwise risk being on his bad side.

" Kage-sama, I am sorry to interrupt your work, I am sure you have more important things to do. But i I have come to talk to you about heading to Kirigakure on a peace venture. These are hard times, and despite all the past conflicts, we need all the help we can get, just as everyone else. I ask that I travel to Kiri to try to negotiate a treaty with Kiri. The chances are slim, but either way it is worth a shot. If I fail, then it is on my head." Dante spoke, standing straighter, he felt more confident as he spoke.

" I am sure you heard of Katsuga's return. It would probably be best to send someone to which he can relate too. An uchiha, and it better to send someone like me, a mere genin, because of the risk of loosing the messenger. Other, stronger shinobi will needed to be kept here just in case. well then.. what do you say?" Dante looked at the Kage, anxiety growing up inside of him, and Dante didn't even notice he was holding his breath. he ended up being more nervous then he had thought he was going to be. Dante thought that maybe Caleb just might deny his request.

The clone thinks about Dante's words for a moment. He has somewhat of a good point, but something makes him a little concerned. While the actual Caleb hadn't sent word from Kumo yet, he knew his own thought process. He sets his paperwork to the side for a moment. He looks Dante in the eyes as he speaks. "Alright, I grant you permission, though there is one thing. We are in treaty with Sunakagure and Kumokagure. I don't want complications by having a three way treaty. It will be fine, but we will not violate our peace with Sunakagure. It's been an allied country for as long as I can remember. Kumokagure is next in line to loyalties. Oh yea, tell the Mizukage I personally said hi. If that's all, please leave." Finished with what he's saying, he goes back to his paperwork.

Dante nodded, knowing fully well the set limits to what he was to do. I could not in anyway disrupt the alliance with the other villages. That was acceptable and reasonable in Dante's eyes. " Yes, fully understood. That is all, Thank you Kage-sama." Dante the bowed and ducked out of the tent. he passed by the Anbu without a word. And headed down to the gate. He already had everything he needed for the trip, and with Caleb's permission to go, all he had to do now was head out to Kiri. Dante walked silently through the street, wondering how he would speak to the Mizukage when he got there. he had to know now, or otherwise look like a foll and mess everything up when the time came. it would be risky, and dangerous, very dangerous.
