Rian kept walking behind Tam and thought of when he could start practicing his moves. He sighed as a new day started not a few miles ago but seemed to be engulfed in the constant night of the land of shadows. The darkness would completley engulf them if not for the lamps on the roads that they walked down. He didnt like so much darkness when it was supposed to be day time. Rian grumbled a bit and then spoke.

"So what are we doing in this cursed land?" Rian asked as he kicked a pebble into the strange glowing clump of mushrooms. Everything must have adapted to the constant night and gave off its own light he looked around to see that even the grass had a faint glow about it. The glowing gave off strange shadows. "People that lived here must be as dark as the worl they live in but im sure theres some faint hope left like how these plants glow faintly." He thought to himself as they continued walking

Tamotsu had been walking silently until he was disturbed by Rian's complaining about the area they were in. He sighed and then responded. "This place is called Kage no Kuni. Land of the Shadows. It is said that there was once a great war here that tore the sky asunder. The area is overcast with a Time Space jutsu that makes it ever lasting night. The country seemed destined to fail until a man named Inabari Hikarimaru appeared and began feeding the plants chakra. It is said that when the chakra fades from a tree, it dies. However, the food here had a peculiar effect." Tamotsu said as he grabbed an apple from the nearby tree and ate it. As he did, he began to glow. "Upon consumption, one glows. The glow lasts for hours but is needed for when we walk through the deadlands."

Rian squinted at Tam. "You expect me to eat this stuff?" He said as he pointed towards the glowing plants.
"Also you didnt tell me why we where here." He siad as he continued to follow Tamotsu. He wondered how powerful a jutsu would have to be for it to last so long over a long distance. He probably never needed to know how to preform such a jutsu but it was still interesting to hink that one could influence the world so. He shrugged it off and continued walking down the lonely road with Tamotsu. He was extremly anxious to here why they where here so he waited patiently for Tamotsu's reply.

"No. I've eaten the food here once before. So I'm okay and it won't make me me sick for 48 hours. Furthermore, there are places that serve normal food so we can stop and relax for a while and train if you want. The place were going exists at the end of the nexium. Which is what this jutsu is called. Yami: Nexium. It's a jutsu that renders an area in darkness and only the user can see. So what we see is the effect of that jutsu constantly. The person however sees the sky as it really is. Sun shiny and so forth." Tamotsu said as he walked along the path. In the distance a village with bright lights was shining.

Rian thought for a bit. "Well wouldnt that mean that these plants should be able to grow normally if its only a form on genjutsu?" He asked as they continued. down the road he could see a village and was eager to start his training as soon as possible.
"yeh i wouldnt mind getting so food and time to practice so lets hurry to the town!"He said as he started running towards the the village extremly hungry and he would get some meat and noodles when he arrived at the village.

"This isn't explained in the text books in the academy so listen to well to what I'm about to say. You know the basic elements, correct? Fire, Wind, Earth, Lightning and Water. You know that combining them produces secondary elements. Like Ice and Steam and Magma to name a few. Well, in the ninja world there are two elements whose sole purpose is the cycle of life and death. Light and Dark. Don't be confused by their names." Tamotsu said as the two walked toward the village. He could hear the ninjas stomach growling and he felt embarrassed for him. But he put it aside and then nodded. "Light and Dark work on the same tangent of destruction. Light however is the lesser of the extremes said to heal or others do things of a nature not killing. However, it does have one jutsu that is destructive. Hikari: Abolish. It is said to wipe out anything it's light touches. Nexium is a dark type Time Space jutsu. It's considered a ninjutus and not a genjutsu. So the sky really is night here."

" Ah alright then well Hurry up im really hungry and the village is only a little ways away so lets hurry there." He said as he passed tamotsu while running he considered all what Tamotsu had said about light and dark. He wondered what affinity a person would need for the light jutsu he had mentioned. But right now his stomach was what was driving him so he sprinted faster towards the village hopefully the restaurant was still open there so he could get something to eat. As he ran he watched the glow from the plants pass him by and it seemed to dance around as he sprinted down the road while the village got closer.

Tamotsu sighed as the ninja rushed him but something else was out there that bothered him. Were they followed all the way here? Did the people that blow up Kokoro manage to find him? He took a defensive stance and then looked at Rian. "Listen. Go on to the inn down the way. Tell them Tamotsu sent you and they'll help you out. Something is here and it seems more powerful then me." He said as he walked ahead. "If you follow me, I'll leave you subject to my own power and kill you." He said as he disappeared for a bit.

Rian stopped and watched Tamotsu vanished into the woods. Something stronger than Himself. Rian was eager to follow but if he just got in the way he would become a burden to him. He sighed and scratched the back of his head and sighed. "ah well thats what i get for not expanding my repertoire any further"He said aloud and sprinted off towards the village.

Once he arrived at the little village he walked to the tavern and announced that tamotsu had sent him.
"Hello i was traveling with tamotsu he sent me here because he had some urgent business
to attend to please allow me to stay here. "He said as he bowed to the occupants and was approached by an elderly man. "Yes we have been expecting you let me show you to your room." The old man said as he turned to walk Rian to his room.As they walked Rians stomach grumbled. "hah hah im actually more interested in eating sir if you dont mind." He said embarrassed. The old man turned around with a smile and laughed. "Thank god i really didnt want to be all formal. The names Goduo! LETS EAT BOYS." the old man yelled and ran to a table with ton of meat and food all over it. Rian laughed and joined them. He wondered if it was really ok he was feasting with these people while Tamotsu was in danger.
