The gentle rustling of the cool breeze through the bushes, was the only noise breaking the still silence of the night. Zarn stood atop a small hill, looking down on the charred remains of his once loved village. It was gone; destroyed to the point of being unsavable. The moonlight reflected off his katana; as he leapt through the air. Landing softly down on the ground; he let out a soft sigh. The young ex-Otokage was standing on the spot where his tower had once stood, back in days gone past. Now it was simply a pile of rubble and ash.

If only I'd been here. If only I hadn't left, was all the young man thought to himself as he shut his eyes; allowing his mind to get lost in the pain and misery of his surroundings. Zarn still blamed himself. In his mind, if he hadn't left the village to go after his brother; none of this would have happened. Otogakure would still stand. But he hadn't been here; he had left the village in the hands of someone to weak to handle it. In his mind; he had caused the destruction of his home.

His right hand moved across his body, coming to rest on the hilt of his Katana. I knew she couldn't handel it. I knew if something happened; she would crumble under the pressure. But what had the chances been? How could I predict that something like this would happen? A long sight passed through the young mans lips as he stood there; pale faced and shaking. He drew his arm up, tearing the blade from it's sheath.

But I shouldn't have left it to chance. I should have stayed, to protect my people. Instead of running off across the countries after Zieg. Turning his head, he panned his vision. There was nothing left; nothing but ruins. Even the bones of the dead had faded to dust and blown away. It was my fault. He plunged the blade, burring it deep into his chest; ripping through his heart.

The breeze howled with rage; the man fell to the floor. Zarn Itichi was dead.
