When the new girl didn't answer her he was dumbfounded, two 'smart' teammates in a row. The first was the one that ditched them, now this girl. He decided he'd shrug it off for now though, it didn't really matter to him all he needed wanted was Dharma-Sensei and Velidina-San. A mission? Of course I'll go, I couldn't really show off my skills here, I didn't want to hurt anyone. He said, cockily, but it was still true. He could have continued with the blue whale and killed all the enemies, of course his teammates would have to be far enough away. Then he could transform into any animal in a huge form and he'd heard at that point they were at least as strong as boss summons. He would so own in the exams.

Velidina didn't say anything about the girl who said nothing back, but it was apparent Velidina did have some thoughts about her. Were they of compassion/ empathy for the girl, or were they saying, "Why me?" If you didn't know Velidina, both could be seen on her face, but if you knew her, she hardly said, "Why me?" about things like this. She turned back to Akio, who said, with quite a bit of confidence, that he could take on the mission. She didn't know if she could do this one; after all, it was vital to Konoha. "Umm... do you think I should go... I mean... what if I mess up...? This sounds important to Konoha..." she shook her head. She turned to Akio. "But... I guess I could go..." she gave Akio a weak smile. "I mean... if you think I should go..." To make matters worse, at least to her, she couldn't even use the tanto that was given to her... or at least she didn't know how to use it. She was more comfortable with chains- like the one in her leg pouch. One of the three that were on her legs.
