He listened to Velidina as she spoke, nodding his head as he listened. He could here the sincerity in her voice, as quiet as it was. When she finished he took a seond to retaliate and to think of how to word his next answers. Yes, I must say I trust him. Sure he could be a criminal, but still I sense a good side to him. He actually told me his name and even admitted that he was a criminal. - He was managing to answer with the whisper that Velidina had muttered as she had spoken. About the same volume and sincerity he hoped.

And of course you're trustworthy. A feeling like that belongs in a person's soul. It keeps them quiet and in he corner, but you must overcome that feeling. If you can overcome that one feeling you'll feel much, much better. You can't explain in words how great it feels. I guess you can almost compare it to jumping off a ledge, a hundred miles high, but you'd somehow land safely. You know it will be alright and you'll land safely and live through it, but won't know the feeling of it until the moment of landing. Your adrenaline starts and you feel, just great, but maybe a tad bit scared as you don't know what's to come, - He spoke the same whisper, and once again talking from the heart. He knew what she felt like and that was part of the reason he believed in her. He had overcome that feeling and now, well like he said, felt great. He hoped Velidina would understand and accomplish the task of setting her soul free.

Velidina nodded in his words. She knew about what he said- indeed, she trusted the man herself a bit. She just didn't trust him completely. She heard him talking in the same voice she used, and that made her blush. She didn't know if he was trying to mock her or compliment her- or if it was unintentional. Even in his low voice, she could hear him clearly- after all, she talked like that herself quite often.

When Akio stated that she was trustworthy, she shook her head. "At least one of us thinks that. So you're saying that you also felt the way that I do at one point in time? Like you don't belong?" As he told her what to do, and what it felt like, she shook her head again. "I'll try... but I don't know if I can get rid of this feeling... after all... it feels like I abandoned somebody where ever I had come from... and that amplifies this feeling I have... Almost like an empty feeling that only losing family can make..." She turned her face to Akio, her right hand over her heart. "Do you know what that means...? Because I'm at a loss... I don't know what's going on... It's confusing me..."

He listened much as before, once again nodding before answering. I definitely know that feeling. In fact I've lost several that are dear to me not too long ago. Of course he spoke the truth. First his parents and then his newly found friend Ellen. He continue walking with her, his steps slow. He was lucky and strong enough that he had been able to drop that feeling as soon as it hit him and he felt much more free now, though he always yearned for them. Just remember, if you ever need my help I'll be there for ya. Never forget that. Never forget of your past either, don't rely on it, but never forget it. The past is what makes us stronger, we learn from experience and that is our past. He ended. He looked at her, into her eyes, His eyes like a pit of darkness, but a light was on the end. Maybe not visible, but the light was there.

Velidina looked to Akio as he revealed his past to her- pretty much a complete stranger. But then again, she had done the same to him, right? Shaking her head, Velidina didn't know what to say. "B-but... How can I feel like I lost something... that I don't even know...?" What he said she knew to be true, but she didn't know how to act on what he said. She felt- and saw- him look into her eyes, and she saw the light at the end of the long, long tunnel of his eyes. She felt like she had taken a route into him, and she had gone along a long, dark, and dank tunnel... but at the end, she was rewarded with his light. He'd see sadness and sorrow in her eyes, but even past that, and past her shyness, was an inner strength. One that Velidina seemed to never talk about- if she even knew she had it to begin with.

We'll find a way, I know it, - He spoke the truth, at least he himself knew it to be the truth, he hoped Velidina did also. As he stared into her eyes he could see the small light at the end of the tunnel, but it was surrounded with sorrow. So... Do you trust me enough to help you find the way? I know you can do it, I can see the light of it in your eyes. It's like a maze, to get through it s a challenge with a bit of a obstacle, but the end will always come sooner than later and it's oh so nice. - He hoped she would trust him, he truly wanted to help in any way possible. He always felt different around her, better he could even say. He would wait for a response, but of course be patient. This was a lot like trusting someone with your life, a huge question in such a little time.

Velidina wanted to believe him. She really did. But something told her to hold back, to not trust him completely, but still trust him. Confusing, conflicting thoughts raged in her head, most to do with the guess that what she was missing was her family. She didn't think they could be dead, but then, what was this feeling? Even if she were far apart, she thought she could tell when one of her family died... and it felt like a couple of her family memebers were quite a ways way... but maybe that was just wishful thinking?

She turned her head upwards once more, to look at Akio. He was the closest thing she had to a close friend, but yet, something felt like it was keeping them apart... The trust between them wasn't complete enough? All these thoughts and even some more raged around her head, and Akio could probably sense, if not see, the battle going on, but then, she suddenly wrapped her arms around him, tears going down her face once more. "Akio..." she cried softly, "I trust you... but..." she couldn't say what she thought... but she tried anyway. "If this feeling is truly my family..." Her tears were no longer in her words, but she was talking slowly... carefully, as if picking her words carefully, either to not hurt his feeling... or maybe because she didn't know how to say what she wanted to say. "Then do I have the right to get rid of this feeling...?" she ended, hoping Akio knew how important family was.

I can't say that myself... After all it is your family... He said, he hadn't really thought about that, probably because even though he had gotten over it, he still yearned for his parents and Ellen to come back. All I know is that I want you to be happy. You never seem to cheerful, but I bet the cheerful side of you would make you feel a lot better. What ever way you, or even I could make you happy would make me feel better. He said the words calm and quietly, but could still easily hear them. He continued following her, at a slow pace, but enough of a pace to keep up with her. I hope she realizes I'm not joking, I would do anything to bring out the cheerful side in her and make her happy. He thought to himself, he slowly looked at her and grinned a small grin before putting it back away and continued walking, waiting for anything she would do.

Velidina continued the walk for a short time, not really saying anything until Akio was done. She looked back up into the sky, and gave a small smile. "I'm really... that depressing?" she asked, a hint of humour in her voice. "I didn't know that... maybe... I should trying living in the present... not the past?" Her head turned to face Akio. "And I'd like your help. Show me how to get over this... but yet, nto forget about them. It's not right to forget your family... but you can't always dwell on them..." Even though the exitement could be seen in her voice, she never sped up her words. "And Akio... this is the most I've talked to anyone... especially about my concerns..." She looked up at him and blushed, not knowing really why she did. She quickly turned her head away to try and hide it, and the blush quickly faded. When she turned her head back to him, only a slight trace of it remained, and a smile was in Velidina's eyes, even if her mouth didn't have one.

Akio listened until she had finished talking, quiet except for a small chuckle when she had made the joke. Of course I'll help. What are friends for? He asked with a smile. Also was that a blush I saw strike your cheeks? He asked teasingly. She wasn't smiling on the outside, but he could definitely tell she was happier. He started walking towards a tree and then leaned against it. He looked into her eyes and smiled once more. So you want to do it now, or something else? It really is easy, just get something new on your mind. Something exciting, your family won't be the top of your mind, but of course they will stay. So it's up to you. Which to do first, and What to do first? He finished. His smile didn't fade from his face, stuck there like it was implanted.

Velidina thought that the smile on Akio's face might be forced, but nobody she knew could force a smile that long. Finally, Velidina nodded and a smile crept onto her face again. "I think... I aready got something, Akio..." She didn't say what, but something truly was making her a bit happier. "Akio... want to be partners?" she asked. She didn't know if he'd accept or not, since it was practically out of the blue, but she hoped he would, but she would understand if he didn't. And when he stated that he saw the blush she sunk her head into her shoulders with another blush. "So... you saw that...?" she asked shyly. She didn't know what he was thinking since he saw that, but she hoped he didn't like her any less because of it...
