OOC: Why are we going with teams of two anyway? Or are there just two teams at all, and even if so, why two?

Katsuo saw as Locron took the marbles, Locron then proceeded to turn his head to the other, less good anbu that had actually given away his identity the moment he walked to the room. Locron had also given away his identity, but you'd have to be more observant and had been to the chuunin exams. Locron was wearing about the same clothes as the chuunin exams, at least the same design. Locron then said a witty remark, but Katsuo wasn't positive if he was talking to the lame anbu or himself. The remark he had said made sense and was partly true about the marbles he had given Locron though the bigger reason was to find out if his detective skills were spot on. He had almost gotten most of the parts to Katsuo's point of giving him the marbles, but it seemed he hadn't figured out his abilities.
He smiled right after the remark had ended, "Though the true challenge of a anbu would be figuring out the ninja's abilities and those preparations." Locron then proceeded to clack the marbles once. Then out of nowhere he threw one at Katsuo. He meraly moved to the sie not moving his vision away from Locron. It looked like throwing the marble was supposed to be a diversion as he saw Locron put the other marble in a side pouch. He let the marble thrown hit the wall and fall to the ground. He quickly, silently, and sneakily made the marble that was thrown disappear and appear in his closed hand using nexus. He really had no need for the marbles, but it couldn't hurt. No one should have been able to see the marble appearing in his hand. His hand had been at his sides at in his pockets anyways so he dropped the lone marble into his pocket without a sound. "Did you want a compliment on your throw? Maybe I should be a anbu if I can doge that at such low notice," He said chuckling. He looked the the door where everyone had come in as he heard a noise, "Sounds like the exams are starting." He formed a half-handseal and disappeared in a flurry of leaves to reappear in the needed area.

Ayame walked into the prep room. Her long white hair flowing down her back as she looked around the room. She sighed as she leaned against the wall knowing that he would be there. He would try to converse with her and she wouldn't have it. She looked around the room sighing. She was rather upset that Shizuka didn't make it and she was saddened at the fact. She leaned against the wall. Her sword hanging at her side. Remembering the letter of how to obtain it. If it would help her get to jounin she would be extremly happy. She wanted to obtain this rank for she would show her true power then. As a hybrid in the nekojin bloodline she wanted to prove that she was as capable as the others. She also wanted to prove her loyalty to Sunagakure. To show Lord Ballian that she was true to her word. As she looked around she knew that she would be fighting to her true strength. The wind was her allie and she would prove that to anyone.

Caleb stretchs, then enters the preps room. He looks back, "Ah comeon guys," he calls back to Ellen and Mew. He looks back into the room and stops a snack table. Grinning, he walks towards it, waving at any shinobi he passed by. He was quite aware that one day many of these chuunin
may be his enemy, but for now it was best to be friendly. He was also taking mental note on each person. Just as he reached the table, he sees a familiar face. What was it? Ayame? She's gotten prettier... Mew drop kicks Caleb, and though he's not material it seems Caleb feels the hit. Looking at other girls already? Tsk tsk, I was merely making an observation. He looks back towards Ellen, You should know I wouldn't do that to her, but it's been a while. Wonder if she even remembers me. Caleb wakes up to Ayame, which he now notices had been staring at him, "Hey, Ayame-chan. Long time no see. How have things been going with you?"

Don't rush me after I had to register us both. You're old enough to talk to other people on your own you know, - Ellen said jokingly, making her way into the waiting room for the contestants after hearing the opening. From the sound of it, it would be an easy victory as long as Caleb managed to keep his flags. Thinking about it, there is no guarantee that we'll be on the same team. That would be a real pain... She notices Mew making some weird motion at Caleb, as if hitting him, but it seemed very out of place without a dialog of some sort. Unless it's just that I can't hear them... - she thought and realized that could easily be the case. If some random jerk in Konoha could do it, then a summon that always hangs around in an ethereal state should easily be able to. She wasn't particularly happy that she was left out of a conversation that earned the Uchiha a kick from Mew, and she was even less happy when he went towards a random girl. Well, she would be random if she didn't have cat ears, a tail and some weird wings. Concentrating a little bit, Ellen turns to Mew, attempting to speak with him telepathically, with success: Who is that? And where do wings come into being a cat anyway?

As Locron continued to think what the mystery behind the marble was he heard an announcement over the speaker requesting him and the hyuuga member to proceed to the starting area and acquire their flags. Sighing Locron looked around for the hyuuga and saw Syra approach him with her innocent white eyes. Her eyes were the type that would have made most men instantly fall head over heals for her but luckily Locron was no ordinary man. Turning arrogantly away from her Locron began to walk for the door. â€œOf my god why do I always get crappy partnersâ€¦â€ Locron remembered the last couple of missionâ€™s he had completed. He had to admit she did look stronger then Tia at least. As Syra heard the rude comment from Locron she was almost snapped but couldnâ€™t remain angry at him for the sake of the team. Sighing Syra followed Locron with her fist clenched ready to hit6 him in the gut when she caught up.

Mew looks back at Ellen and flies towards her. The wings are something to deal with evolution or something. I guess cause they can't fly Â Caleb is only a halfbreed, thuse he doesn't have all of the nekojin abilities Â As far as that girl, hmm Â Oh yea I see, It's an old friend from Sunagakure Â Don't worry though, he doesn't like her for more than a friend... And it appears she hates him now

Expecting a response, Caleb is merely given the cold shoulder before his past friend leaves for her match. Sighing he turns around about to say something to Ellen, but then a strong wind picks up which knocks around light objects in the room. A female nekojin of the Daikonran branch appears. Wearing a backpack, she quickly locates Caleb and waves, "Hai, Caleb-san!" She says walking up to him, "I got the items you asked Chrys-sama for." Â He halfway grins, "Cool, I had thought I wouldn't have gotten to use them. Thanks alot, Suisen-chan. I suppose he couldn't make it, huh?" "He has some business to take care of, he'll be here later." she replies, handing him a bracer/shin guard set, a wakizashi and an folding fan. He looks back at Ellen, "This is Suisen, my sparring partner, Suisen this is Ellen. We can get more acquainted later, we have to get going." "Alright," Suisen says, waving before leaving the room. Caleb puts on his new equibment. "Alright let's go guys!" he says, making sure his new items are secured.

I see... somehow, I don't like her. It's probably the smell, though I can't really tell it from intuition yet, - Ellen said quietly, though the nekojin female was obviously no challenge for her, in any sense of the word. Another girl then appeared and started talking to Caleb, apparently having brought him some gear. I thought he said he wasn't welcome around the nekojin village? But this girl seems friendly, and that other one wasn't from Leaf at all, so... She nodded to the girl called Suisen as the Uchiha boy introduced them to each other, but didn't say anything. This is slightly disappointing. He uses so many weapons and equipment, but items are known to fail and they can be stolen. Only your own strength can never be taken away from you, - she sends to Mew, feeling like noting it to someone but not wanting to offend Caleb. Feeling that her clothes were not the best choice for battle, she quickly uses her clan jutsu to transform them into a black karategi with a black undershirt, remembering to make some room for her tail.
