The weather was not the most pleasant one: the gray skies held a promise of rain at any minute - but Ellen was feeling good. She didn't feel like telling Caleb about it during their journey, but the sun made her feel dizzy, and the brighter it was, the worse she felt. She would like to blame it on a heat- or sunstroke, but she realized that wasn't the case almost instantly - first of all, it felt differently, but it was neither that hot or that intense a sunlight either. In addition to that, the boy seemed completely unaffected by it. What's wrong with me? Why does sunlight make me feel ill? She wondered about that, but reached an agreement with her other self to let her try to figure it out while focusing on the events at hand herself. In addition to the sunlight making her weaker, she also seemed to be stronger and more energetic at night. Apart from that, there was also the case of her thinking becoming more feral, and she caught herself several times wanting to wake Caleb up in the middle of the night. There was also the matter of food bringing no satisfaction and a strange hunger that wouldn't go away, but she didn't want him to worry about something he couldn't help her with. Right now, she had to trust in herself and hope that she'd somehow find out what has happened to her in the Forest of Death almost two weeks ago.
As she was walking a little bit behind Caleb, he probably wouldn't notice her soundless light laugh when he struck a pose, boasting slightly. Normally Ellen didn't like this sort of thing, but she could tell that it wasn't a full-of-oneself kind, but a more playful one. I'm sure you will, - she said, walking up to him and giving him a peck on his cheek before going directly towards the desk with some officials. Um, hello, we are here for the jounin exams. My name is Ellen Karate, from the Leaf. This is Uchiha Caleb, also from the Leaf. Making sure that the jounin got their names down, she walked back to the boy and said: I wonder what kind of event this will be. I've never seen one before.
