I have a few techniques that I can show you guys if you want. More then just making a background, but, blending and alternating the image and stuff.

meh I've learned to just lower the opacity a bit dubilicate the image 1 or two times and play with the layer type and people have told me I have a good blending even though I'm still not sure what I'm doing is intirely right
