As her father had said, she would need something to increase her speed. The verticle surface seemed better than using her wings. She had hardly ever used her wings, save for when she pracitced and learned more about her bloodline from her mother. She had studied her wings effects on things, and constantly floated and flew whenever it was night, but that was when no one except her mother was watching. She did not like to admit that it exhilirated her to fly. Saya shoved her thougths away and returned her focus to her training. She would just use a rock to push herself off of for the attack at this point in time. As she crouched to prepare herself, Saya once more evenly distributed her chakra around her body into the shape of a sphere, her lightning based chakra crackling as she controlled it in a small environment. Saya pushed herself off of the ground and began to run towards a rock a good distance away. She maintained the orb around her, and produced lightning around her arm as she prepared to punch and preform the combo like her father had instructed. As she came closer to her target, Saya jumped to the side, landing vertically along the surface of a rock, planting both feet against the surface before pushing off hard, achieving a great speed than before, she vaulted her way to the rock, slammng her fist with her concentrated chakra hard against the rock. The sphere exploded on impact and blew away the rock and the area around it, upheaving the ground where the lightning bolts traveled.

As the dust cleared, Saya had been protected by the sphere of lightning based chakra, keeping her relatively clean. She flicked her hair back and looked further one, ready to practice with her water based chakra, to make sure that she had perfected the technique. Once more she found a rock that would suffice as a target and crouched, pushing chakra from her body around her figure. The water based chakra formed around her, creating a barrier of transluctant liquid. Saya turned to the rock she had located and paused. She made sure to maintain full control and even distribution in that short moment and once more kicked off, running at full speed towards the rock. This time she found portion of the ground ripped up towards the air, leaving a gap from the ground. She ran up to the edge of the gap and used this as her surface to push off of, crouching low and using her powerful leg muscles to propel herself foward. The water sphere circulated around Saya as she traveled towards the rock. In the short instances between her and the rock, she formed the water based chakra around her hand, condensing it around her fist. As she pushed forward, punching with a portion of her strength, the water sphere torrented forward, beating hard at the rock in front of her. With her first, she crushed the rock and the torrents of water bashed against the remaining pieces that were closer to the ground, effectively jettisoning a deep groove along the ground where the water gushed forward. Turning away from the scarred earth, Saya walked back towards her father and smiled openly, showing her pearly white teeth from between her rosy pink lips, "So father. I think I can perform this jutsu too." She was proud of herself every time she managed to master a jutsu such as this, and this one was probably the last she would learn from her father.

Sol watched Saya as she gradually mastered the jutsu. This was the last thing he could teach her for now, and probably forever. And now that she was no longer his student, he decided it was time to tell her everything. In the past, her decision might have been affected by the fact she was still taught by him, but now, at least that factor was out of the way. He hoped that him and Rera being her parents wouldn't cloud her judgment, and she would follow what she truly believes in. Either way, he had to tell her before she would leave. Good job. Let's go back to the castle then. He picked up his enormous sword and started walking back towards the fortress that was their home for the last year. He glanced back at her, letting her know that he wanted to talk to her about something.

Now, where should I begin... - he said once she caught up to him, - Your mother and myself haven't been telling you much about our plans for the future. I guess it kinda never came up... then again, this whole fortress, the city around it and the troops training six days of the week is a dead giveaway that we're planning something big... He stopped and turned towards Saya. And you most likely heard people talking. It wouldn't be hard to put the pieces together I guess. But I'll tell you anyway. We're going to start a war, in the name of peace, no matter how unbelievable that sounds. But not just a senseless war, which brings suffering to everybody, and mostly common people. A war with the shinobi villages.

Over the past thirty years, this land has seen five large-scale wars, all of which were started by the ninja. They were all started because of the Kages seeking power, riches and fame. The ninja villages were originally formed to help uphold peace and order in the land, and they failed miserably at this task, only creating more chaos and suffering for the common people. This has to end, and we will be the ones to end it. Our goal might seem unreachable, as we are outnumbered and likely out-skilled. But we shall prevail, because we will strike from within as well as from outside, and our cause is one with the people of this land. Anyone in our path shall be destroyed, until the ninja villages will one by one either submit to our terms, or be completely annihilated. That is what we are going to do. I have only one question for you: will you join us in this crusade?

Saya carefully looked her dad over as he said that they should go back to the castle. It wasn't in her plan, but sense her mother was there it would be easier to say good bye to both of her parents for the time being, just to settle on some of her old personal business. She was considering it, but the look in her father's eyes told her he wished to have a few words of exchange. Saya nodded and followed after her dad, who pull his massive sword from the ground. He had a small head start, but she easily filled the gap between them. When she did approach, he began to speak, which confused her because she thought that they were going to talk in the castle with her mother. Instead, she listened to her father, at least to hear what he wanted to say.

What he first said was of little surprise. The men training most of the days of the week, the whispers around the town. She knew a little about it just from listening to the guards, but to hear it from her own father's mouth was something she had never expected to hear. She looked away, feeling unease in such an atmosphere. She hated killing, it was the one thing she could never get a grasp of, despite having killed various people, those few times haunt her memories, and make her hate it that much more each time it plays in her mind. A war against the shinobi world was something she had heard of before. But her father was ambitious and dangerous, but she was not so different.

Saya slowly looked towards her father and shook her head, "I can't join such a cause...I don't think I am a candidate for your order...the way you do things. Its just not me at all. I mean...if you can make an exception for my case, I want to see a peaceful tomorrow, but a war where I must kill. I just can't do it father you must know that. I can't join a cause that would have me kill to gain peace." Saya looked at her father pleadingly, hoping he would not force her to make a decision to join and have to kill someone. She did not have the strength to fight a full fledge war and kill all those people, even though the cause was justified.

Sol drooped a bit when he heard Saya's answer. It was what he expected though. I understand, - he said as he started walking again, - Killing in the name of peace is not the approach I would prefer either. But there is no other way. Surely you understand that simply going to a village's leader and telling them to stop all hostile activities would make them laugh in your face. Unfortunately, they do not understand anything but power. Which leaves us no choice but to show them power. If there was another way, we wouldn't have started all of this. He walks in silence for several minutes. Saya's help would be invaluable, not only due to her great skill, but also because she was a shinobi from Kiri and the Kage of Iwa was her close friend. She could do so much for their cause without even having to fight...

But now that I heard your response I can't help but wonder. You don't want to kill. But then why did you train to kill in the past year? And don't make excuses like being able to protect yourself and your friends. You should know by now, that my style was never meant for anything but murder. Sol keeps walking towards the castle, not really waiting for an answer. Anyway, I'm leaving, too. The Tournament which we organized to look for recruits and into the enemies' power is starting soon, and I'm supposed to open it. You can tag along if you want to. I'm just going to grab some supplies, say a few words to some people and then leave. I'll come to see you off in case you won't be going.

Saya merely looked ahead as her father spoke his first lines. She couldn't care if the village leaders would laugh in her face. She might in that point and time, but realitively it was their decisions. And not all Kage wanted power, but she could not deny most of the truth behind her father's words. As they continued to walk, Saya said nothing, keeping to herself in silence, thinking to herself about what her father said. It was not until he spoke agian than did she look towards her father and heard the same kind of speach she had been given most of her life. Why this and why that? Why make this decision and not that one? Why not be a poor defenless girl when you are a strong and dangerous woman.

Saya sighed and looked ahead. She was about to respond when Sol took a change to the subject and she looked at him with interest, "A tournament? I would love to see you off father. I don't want to leave you without you knowing that your daughter has had the best training anywhere. And I want to say goodbye to mother. The past year I have grown accustomed to being with you two...and I don't want to leave...but I have some things I have to do on my own as well. And I can only thank you father for giving what is needed to get there." She stopped her words and veered to her left, making contact with her father's arm and slipped her own arm underneath his and held it there, "Now you can just walk your own daughter like a gentleman would and present me to mother all proper like." Saya smiled at her father. She was going to miss her parents comforting ways, but others needed to be tended to.

Sol smiled. Saya was much like her mother in the aspect that she wouldn't let him have his own way. He wasn't one for long goodbyes. Why not just say "see you later" and be on your separate ways? It didn't matter much whether they would really see each other again or not, they couldn't know that, so what was the use worrying about it? "There is no point in worrying about something you cannot control", - it was a wise saying. The important part was not to mistake "something" for "something or someone" though. Alright, I'll do my best, - he said as they both walked to the castle. He had no idea where his wife would be though, he only remembered that she said something about a meeting with some merchants or something. He smiled sadly at the thought that they only got married about twenty years later than they should have, had things gone normally. Common sense dictates she would be in the meeting room then...

Just as Sol was about to open the doors to the meeting hall, several well-dressed people walked out. Out of the way, peasants, - said the one in the lead, and the others stupidly laughed. I knew this place would be a dump... but they could at least forbid their soldiers from bringing whores inside the castle, - said another one as they walked away. What? What the heck are they talking about? This city is the most decent I have seen so far, and the army is strictly disciplined. There is no way... - he thought before something dawned upon him. Rera! Yes, dear? - said the vampiress as she exited the room, - Hello, Rose. Rera, who are those guys? Some local crime lords, as they call themselves. They demanded that we pay them tribute so they won't ransack the city. The nerve of them... Oh, so nobody important. That's good. Rose, excuse me a moment, - said Sol as he freed his arm from Saya's hold. He then quickly turned in place and hurled his sword down the corridor, towards the unsuspecting but very arrogant visitors. The spinning blade cut through all four of them like hot knife through butter before they could realize anything. Frederick! What? The carpet is red anyway. You can't just kill everyone who is an idiot! Oh, it wasn't about that. Just have someone clean it up, I'll get the sword on my way out, - he walked into the room, not wanting to continue on the subject.

Several minutes later, after Rera gave several orders concerning the remains of those people, they were all sitting inside the room at a large table. You're leaving, aren't you, Rose? I knew this would happen one day, and your father told me that your training was almost finished earlier. Well, I guess you should pack the things you want to take with you. I'll see you to the city gates once you're both ready. Once at the city gates, Rera hugged Saya. Stay safe. Keep your friends close. And come visit your old mother sometimes, - she added with a smile. Sol smiled as well. He knew Rera was old in human terms, but she barely looked older than her daughter. It was mostly the eyes that gave away her age. The married couple kissed. Well, we're off. The vampiress nodded. She kept looking as they walked away until they were out of sight. She sighed and then walked back to the castle. There was a lot she had to do.

Saya did not know about her father's policy, but she hardly thought about what her father's principles were. She was too busy wondering what her mother would say as a farewell. She dwelled on her thoughts for a long time, wondering just what to say to her mother when they reached the castle that loomed up closer and closer. Eventually the father and daughter pair reached the large building and advanced inside. As they walked, Saya watched her father about to open the door when it was rudely pushed out, without any concern for those behind the door. Saya watched a few men walk out of the room and spoke down on the two of them. She felt a twinge of anger rise when they said that they brought whores inside. She could only guess that they had just spoke about her mother. She wanted to release her father and walk up to the men and give them a lesson they would never forget. To had just berated her entire family in a split instant of the other.

She heard her father yell out for her mother and she turned when she presented herself to them. She nodded at her mother at the confirmation and listened to the two of them. When her dad asked to be excused, she felt him pull his arm from her grip. She saw him grab at his sword and knew what he was going to do. She felt shocked at how quick to react her father was, and gasped at her father's sword as it crashed into the four men, "Father!" Her voice timed itself perfectly with her mother's reaction. Her father was so blunt and rutheless that he barely cared that they had a life to live in the first place. She knew how jealous her father could get, but he had just taken a new level in his bitterness. She looked away from the men, not wishing to think ill about her father.

When her mother had finished making her orders, they enetered the room that the men had just occupied before their arrival. She merely nodded at her mother's question, knowing that she was not going to able to say anything without crying, and she didn't want her mother to see her daughter who had trained so hard to become strong cry because she was leaving. Even at the gates she struggled inwardly, but she kept a straight face and hugged her mother before following after her father to be with him at the tournament and watch. She had a feeling someone there was one she wished to speak to before doing anything else.
