Maruko is pretty independent as far as relationships go.  She doesn't push people away, but her cold, sarcastic manner isn't exactly inviting either.  She tends to be rather negative, always seeing what could, and probably will, go wrong in every situation.  She's mistrustful of people when she first meets them, but will warm up to you quickly if you prove yourself trustworthy to her.  She's extremely clumsy, her long limbs getting tangled alot, usually in the most impromptu moments.  Maruko tells lies and truths whenever the time calls for it, she doesn't tell either exclusively.  While she isn't very strong physically, she's got some book smarts and has alot of speed for someone as clumsy as she is.  Secretly she dislikes sleeping due to the occasional bad dream of her parents, but still gets it.  She's still deathly afraid of fire, and will freeze up the moment she sees it, taking her a little while for her to come to her senses and run.  A secret of hers is that she is fascinated by cooking and wishes to learn how when she gets the chance.

Name: Kinobori no Waza - Act of Tree Climbing

Description: A skill that every self-respecting shinobi must have. It is based on concentrating chakra to the soles of one's feet and using it to stick to objects, which would allow one to walk on vertical surfaces and even upside down. This is also often used as chakra control training, since the soles of the feet are said to be the hardest place to control your chakra.

Description: Practice of this style greatly improves the shinobi's rate of fire when using a bow. Also it lets them channel chakra into each shoot. This can be a quick charge that add a little when shooting rapidly, or alot into a single shot. This chakra increase the range of the arrow and adds extra damage. Lastly practioners of this art can add a flash of light at the end of a Flicker technique (or anything like it) rather than dirt or leaves. This is only a visual effect.

Description: After forming the necessary hand seals, the user will expel a strong jet of water from their mouth. This attacks deals considerable pressure damage and is quite fast, but it's also very direct and, consequentially, not that hard to evade.

She's born in Sunagakure when her parents killed themselves and tried to kill her too by shoving her into a fire. That is why she's afraid of fire now.  She wasn't like other orphans in the fact that she just didn't care about the fact that she had no friends or family, she liked being on her own and to kill mercilessly and flawlessly.  Her purpose in life is to become the kazekage of her village.  Despite how cold and unfeeling she may seem on the surface, she's just scared of what she's becoming because she doesn't know why she likes to kill or why her head screams at her to kill every single hour of the day. Maruko is also afraid that she might be going crazy.

Maruko was an archer-ninja, so when she heard of an archer in Konoha that could train her, she was fairly excited and left with Shizuka, a fellow ninja who was going to visit the Hokage.  Along the way, Shizuka and Maruko started to form a friendship.  When they arrived in Konoha and met with the Hokage, Shizuka was offered to stay, along with Maruko.  They accepted and decided to stay in Konoha, becoming Leaf ninja.  While staying there, Maruko formed a stronger bond with Shizuka and began to train with the archer ninja Alli.  After some training, and with the Chuunin exams coming up, Maruko decided to enter and was sent up against a boy named Locron, losing to him.  This embarassing failure led her to train even harder, beating herself up for the fight.  Not long after this, she met up with Shizuka again at night, who turned her into a vampire.
