The sky felt unusually great today for Tsubame, hovering within it's great depths via his special Raptor heritage. The Hokage Build was Tsubame's target today, he wanted to see the new Hokage, one of his closest friends that he had little time previously to see due to his extensive training. In the aspect of his training, he was at his limit for now, he would see how things went with that at a later date. He had information now and he needed to see his friend that he hadn't seen in a while. Kurenai hovered below as he floated up to the balcony of the Hokage Office, walking in unannounced.
"I has been a while, Tamotsu-Niisan. I've come to see my dear friend and to give my friend information concerning what lays on the horizon of Konohagakure." He said with a wicked smirk, Kurenai landing on his outstretched shoulder. He glanced towards her, ran his digits through her soft feathers, then sent her back into the sky to scout. That had always been his Forte, scouting, but that didn't matter now. "Sunagakure, Iwagakure, Otogakure. These three villages are starting a war...with us." As he said this, he handed an envelope to Tamotsu. Within would hold aerial pictures of proof to his words. "I didn't come here solely to talk business though." _________________

"Raptor, Tsubame. Jounin class. 19 years of age and still the rudest son of a bitch in Team 5's group. I wonder why my past is catching up with me so much as of late." Tamotsu said as he looked up from his desk. "Don't worry about my appearance right now. Slept late. I look like a freaking zombie right about now. So, other then business I already know, what are you hear for? I know you're not here for my charming good looks because we know I ain't got much." Tamotsu laughed as he offered the chair before him. _________________

"Heh, you forget the part where I'm a High-Level Jounin and have roughly eight times the chakra of your average Jounin. Actually, aside from business there's two reasons I am here, I'd like to reinstate the team system, though you could call that business. I'm also here for you, it's been ages since we last seen each other, partially due to my training regimen and partially due to my inferiority complex." said Tsubame, smiling wildly towards his former partner in crime and his best friend. He was happy that Tamotsu was the Hokage now, he was truly happy for him, and was decided that he would fight to hell and back for Konoha and it's Kage the moment he took office. Tsubame craned his head slightly as Kurenai relayed a report to him. "You know you've got Oto Nin in your village, right?" He was talking about Sazaku of course. _________________

"The better question is who the hell isn't here? I have one of every kind in Konoha. I'm a bit less understanding then I was once but missing-nin all need homes too. And I offer them that home with a leash. However, the one your referring to is probably the newest addition to Konoha. He doesn't need a leash. He has someone who acts as his guard and watch."
Tamotsu laughed at remembering how he caught Sazaku and his assistant kissing. He then looked back at Tsubame and nodded.
"So, I'm sure they're fine for now. As for you, I remember when you were a rough around the edges person with no balls and a bird with a temper problem. And sure, I might have changed the story a bit but who cares. That's how I remember you." _________________

"I can sense that he has feelings for the one guarding him, things might get hairy there, but it's none of my concern. Actually, his field record from Oto is clean so you probbly don't have anything to worry about." He said, focusing solely on that Missing-nin for a moment before his concentration returned to Tamotsu. "Heh, an intelligent with strategic skill, but refuses to kill. If you don't remember properly, I came up with most of the strategies during the Chuunin Exam's second phase. Ehh, good times, better times then what we now face." Tsubame said with a laugh. Tamotsu was 100% correct about his personality and what he was like. Kurenai had mature though, and so had he, and that was when his face got serious. "To tell you the truth, I have similar feelings for you. I'm serious and even you can tell when I am." _________________

"Similar feelings? What are you talking about?" Tamotsu raised a brow as Jaken appeared. The giant wolf looked at Tsubame and barked happily for a moment as he looked at the Jounin. As he did, several little cubs walked into the room and Tamotsu sighed. "Damnit. Did you have to breed now? I can't train them all!" Tamotsu grumbled as the wolf growled and the left with the cubs following their father slowly. Tamotsu then looked back at Tsubame and shook off what just happened. "Anyways, what do you mean about similar feelings?" _________________

"I can't quite say the 'L' word, but I like you a lot, Tamotsu, as more than a friend. don't ask me to explain it any more than that, I simply can't, I just know I have this feeling and it won't go away no matter what I do." spoke Tsubame, glancing towards his old friend before brushing his digits in his spiky auburn tresses. His unusually black (due to contacts) eyes focused on Tamotsu, then began to turn around slowly. "Forget about it... For the moment, I want you to send me on a scouting mission into Otogakure. I'm the best scout you have and you know it. To top that off, I'm also a good strategist." _________________

"Ah..." Tamotsu froze for a moment when he heard Tsubame's confession. "Tsu-san. I..." Tamotsu looked down with the thought of having not seen Reiatsu in almost 2 months. He had given up the notion that the boy would return to his arms. He looked more depressed then he had in a long time and got up out of his desk and walked over to Tsubame. He was slightly older then he was and slightly taller. He looked up at him, keeping the same sad look that he had before. "Tsubame... I..." Tamotsu froze and then turned away. "... It's not worth feeling that way for me." He said as he looked down. "I'm just a figure head whose worth is protecting everyone. I don't deserve being loved." His words now more solemn then the last. _________________

"No, that's where you're wrong. You do deserve my feelings, you deserve to feel nd for other people to feel about you like I do, and that's the truth. You may be Hokage, however you're more than just a figurehead, you're the leader of the greatest shinobi nation, and you deserve to receive love." He said, turning to face Tamotsu suddenly, then made a reply to Tamotsu's absence to his previous statement. Konoha couldn't hide in the shadows, they needed to know more information, and that's exactly what Tsubame was proposing. He was the best choice due to his superb scouting abilities and the fact that he hadn't been in Konoha for the path six months. "Danger's something that has to be faced, you can't cower in the face of it and continue to run from it, otherwise Konohagakure wouldn't exist, Tamotsu. You can't hope to face Otogakure blindfolded and you can't say I'm not the best choice for a scouting mission." _________________

"So you want me to throw you blindly into the wolves den despite knowing the risk it poses? Damnit, Tsubame! You come here and tell me that you have feelings for me. That I deserve your love and yet you want me to give you the okay to go to your death? I can't do that! I just... DAMNIT!" Tamotsu yelled as he grabbed Tsubame's collar and pulled him down to eye level and looked at him. "If you go... and don't come back. Then you never loved me at all. Do you understand me? If you fail this mission you betray your feelings to me." Tamotsu said softly. "I don't have much in my life right now. But now that you're back in it, along with Seiko and many others, I won't lose you." _________________
