Tamotsu sighed as he took in all the information that the clone had told him. He sighed as stood back and then took in all he could. "Kage Bushin no Jutsu." He said as 3 clones appeared and he looked at them. "Okay guys, we all got the gist of what Eric said. So any ideas on how we can pull this off?" Tamotsu asked as the three clones thought for a moment. "Like Eric said, we need basic understanding of Explosive Tags. Maybe one of us can get one while you try to put it into practice?" One of the clones suggested.
"That's a good idea. Go collect an explosive tag and then come back here while me and the others practice." Tamotsu said as the middle clone ran off. The two others then nodded and dispelled. "I need to make it in a way that an explosive tag would work. Meaning that contact would be the seal the activates it. But how..." He said as he closed his eyes trying to manage something close to that. In his mind, he could see a clone standing normally and exploding. "I guess making it so that the exploding clone has more chakra then the others would work."
Tamotsu jumped back as he held down the cross-like seal and then focused. "Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" He yelled as he pressed his chakra into two Clones. He looked at the Bushins, unable to tell if he had created the perfect bomb. He had a feeling he didn't but he knew he would have to wait till he tested it. "I'm gonna throw rocks at you guys to see if I've done it right." Tamotsu said as the clones shrugged softly. He then picked up two rocks and threw them at the two clones who dispersed without exploding. "Damnit." He cursed.
"I need to make it so that one has more chakra... but how?" He thought to himself. He walked forward and thought about how one of the clones had done it. Eric explanation was now slipping away under all his theories and conjectures of what would be right. Something he had been doing for sometime now. "I think, I need to visualize how I could do a transfer like that." Tamotsu said as he closed his eyes and then thought about the chakra transfer. It began simply with three Tamotsus standing side to side.
"As I create a Kage Bushin, my chakra is split evenly amongst them." He said as in his mind, he could see two lines shooting out of the middle Tamotsu to the other ones. "In order for me to make this work, I would need to make it so that one Kage Bushin get less chakra, making it substantially weaker... or rather if it's one clone, make sure it gets more then it's fair share of chakra." Tamotsu thought as he could see the chakra line on the left clone dwindle and the right one get stronger and thicker.
Tamotsu sighed as he applied it to 3 at one time. The premise he thought would be the same but he would have to try at this moment, how to put his theory into practice. He opened his eyes and then took a stance. He began to think in his mind once more how he had invisioned the exchange of chakra. He then opened his eyes and called his chakra forward. "Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" He yelled as a giant poof went off and three clones appeared. He grumbled a bit as he had summoned to many for this excersice.
He then walked over to where the previous clones were and picked up the rocks that had collided with them. He tossed them in his hands and then nodded. "Okay, it's like this. I'm throwing rocks. So don't move. I need to see if one of you is a bomb in the making." Tamotsu said as the three clones nodded. He took the two rocks and threw them at the two side clones, both dispelling instantly with nothing more then smoke. Tamotsu sighed as he looked at the third. "I doubt you're the one." He said as the clone shrugged.
He picked up another rock and threw it at the clone. When the rock hit. It made a loud noise and a small puff of wind. Tamotsu looked on and nodded. "I see. I'm getting there but I still don't understand the mechanics of it yet." Said as he looked to the north where his previous clone has been running towards him with an explosive tag in his hand. Tamotsu looked on a bit worried that this would end badly because his clone might be stupid and set off the tag. However, he would reserve that till it happened.
"Here's the tag! I read up on it a bit." The clone said as it dispelled and Tamotsu shook his head and began to understand what the clone had learned. "I see. The clone took to reading about how to activate the tag. Explosive tags are activated by chakra which resonates in the tag making an explosion erupt at the user's command. Kinda like an imprint of the user. Which means I would have to give my clone that same touch and resonance effect to make it work appropriately." Tamotsu said as he stood back and then focused once more.
"Okay. Let's try it out now. Apply what I've learned so far and make this jutsu work." Tamotsu said a bit excitedly as he put the cross hand seal together and began to focus his chakra. He then took a breath and nodded. "Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" He yelled as the familiar poof went off and two clones appeared. Tamotsu without wasting any time, ran for two rocks and then threw them at the clones. As the rocks made connection, the left clone bursted a bit while the second clone did nothing but a normal dispell.
"Shimmata. Still not good enough. But at least the basic concept is in my mind. I'll need to pressure more chakra into one clone to make it burst more. Once that's done, I can move on with the rest of my training. Because I am getting sleepy." He complained as he took his stance once more and began to focus. "Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" He yelled once more as another two clones appeared and looked at him. He nodded as the clones knew why they were called. Once more, he took two rocks and threw them at the clones.
The clone on the right gave more of a blow back as the rock actually bounced back from it's slight explosion it cause. It didn't do much damage as the ground seemed to be unaffected by it. He thought a moment as the thoughts of the clones seemed to be empty. He sighed as he thought he had hit a snag in the road and sat on the floor. "I think that the application might work better if I do it with just one so I can regulate the flow." He said as he stood back up to continue trying all over again.
The drops of sweat were his punishment for the work he was doing. He took a deep breath and held the cross seal again and then nodded. "Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" He said as the poof went off as the clone stood there and nodded. "Maybe this time!" The clone said happily as Tamotsu nodded. "Hopefully." He responded as he picked up a rock and threw it at the clone. As the rock made contact a bigger blast off wind went off but nothing more then that. There was no explosion or any signs off one.
Tamotsu grumbled as he stood up and wanted to throttle someone. He kicked the ground and then relaxed. He took a deep breath and assessed the situation. "If anything, the next time, I'll put a freaking explosive tag on the clone and make it blow up in front of someone. Shit, this is getting tough and i'm running low on chakra again. If I don't figure this out, I'll end up in the hospital." Tamotsu said a she began to seriously think about what was missing. "I got the basic idea but I need to put more boom into it."
He took back to his seal and then began to focus more then before. He kept his eyes opened as he could see his own mental image of the diagram he made. He coulds see the transfer of chakra being strong going intot he clone and it exploding on contact with something. He nodded as he pulled all his chakra together and then yelled. "Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" He said as one clone appeared and looked at it's creator. Tamotsu wasted no time in getting rock. But he wasn't satisfied just yet.
""Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" He said as he quickly pulled the seals together and made 2 more clones appear. He grabbed another two rocks and then looked at the clones. "Stand next to each other." He said as the clones walked over to the other ones. Tamotsu nodded as he grabbed the rocks hard and then threw them at the clones. As he did, the connection resulted in a big bang which blasted Tamotsu back a few feet as he hit the ground hard. He grunted as he stood up and looked at the small crater.
"Jeez..."

The Eric clone watched as the Hokage tried to do the Exploding Shadow Clone with his own theroies and such, but he saw them fail. He was impressed with the logic he had shown though, and that his chakra reserves held out for as long as they did. Finally, when the clone came back with an understanding of explosive tags, he watched everything click in the Hokage's head. After a few more failed attempts, he got the results he was looking for and made his shadow clone explode. Although he was a bit too close for comfort.
"Alright, good job Lord Hokage. I'm gonna see how my original self and Rin are doing in their training. In the meanwhile, you've earned this." he said. He got out a new scroll and inkbrush. "Since when I dispell myself, the scroll dissappears with me, make sure you copy it down to your own scroll as fast as possible. This.....is how to do the Raikiri. Be careful. Backfire means death, pure and simple. This is what your shadow clones are for." the clone warned him before he finished writing down what to do. Tamotsu took the scroll quickly and began to copy it's contents fast. This scroll was the only scroll Konoha lacked from the originals and this authentic copy would prove useful much later on. As he did, he began thinking heavily on the days events and whistled. Jaken, the wolf appeared and looked as his master a moment. Tamotsu finished the scroll and the left it alone knowing the wolf would handle it. "I'm gonna go rest for a while. I'm tired and out of chakra. I'll be back later. When Ukyo returns, have him visit me in my office." Tamotsu said as he left slowly. He was tired and didn't want to use Shunshin, lest he wanted to spend time in the hospital.
