Nathen sat up on his elbows with a questioning look. He had to be kidding. "I-I don't see h-how that would w-work?" He mumbled before he pushed himself up to stand. Nathen watched as Darien bounced off the tree with a grin. Nathen sighed, walking back up to the tree, breathing slowly and studying the ruff bark of the tree planted in front of him. His ears pulled back as he looked up to the top to measure it. The tree didn't seem -that- high. With one last, sharp inhale Nathen closed his eyes and folded his hands into the familiar sign. His feet pushed agents the dirt for a second as he bolted up the tree. He got about ten feet before he feel on back to the hard ground, his shoulders.

Darien watched Nathen go up the tree a bit but watched as he fell down to the ground and ran infront to catch him before he hit the ground, possibly breaking his neck. "You okay? Hold your chakra a bit longer and you can do it!" Darien smiled. He placed Nathen upright and then smiled again. He went back to holding the Ram seal and focused on collecting chakra to his feet. He closed his eyes and then felt his feet lift a bit. He opened his eyes and ran forward towards the tree and climbed about 15 feet into the tree before falling back anf flipping to land on one knee. "Getting there." He panted.

Nathen let a quick blush flutter across his cheek as he mumbled a think you. He wrinkled his nose when he was push back on his feet. He was so close. Just a little further and he could say he actually did something right. Nathen huffed quietly and turned back to the tree. Again he slid into the same stance as before but this time he had a small wrinkle in his forehead as he tried to concentrate. As soon as he felt the pressure under his feet, Nathen jumped up at least 3 feet and started to walk carefully up the tree. His steps where uneasy and he was stumbling in the bark. Nathen mumbled something before he pushed off the tree and gracefully landed a few feet away.
"I'm d-doing some th-thing wrong." He muttered to himself.

"You're not doing anything wrong, Nathen. It just take alot of practice and patience to do so. I'm sure that after this me and you will get it right together! And if we do, we can go back for more Ice Cream! Because Ice Cream rules!" Darien smiled as patted Nathen's back and then went back to his own training as he began to focus once more with his ram seal held. He could remember Tamotsu's words about trying to keep a constant and even flow of chakra. As he did, he could feel the chakra lift him off the gound softly. "I can do this." He said as tried to keep that constant and even flow.

Nathen sighed again and shook his head. A smile crept and before he knew it, he was laughing. "I-ice cream w-would be great!" He laughed and closed his eyes again as he tried to stuff the laughter. Nathen stood beside Darien and copied his posture, lacing his fingers together in the proper sign and he slowed down his breath to match Darien's calm pace. Nathen finally choked the laughed but a smile was still pressed on his lips. With a swift wag of his tail he jumped onto the tree and braced himself for the fall. It never came. Instead he ever so slowly walked up the steep tree with hi hands out , ready to catch him if he dropped. Nathen turned around on the tree so he was facing the ground. His tail was wagging slightly as he grinned down at Darien proudly. "C-c'mon up." Nathen encouraged.

Darien looked up at Nathen and then smiled. "Good Job!" He yelled in excitement. Darien nodded as he looked at the tree and shook off his fears. "It's now or never!!" He yelled as he ran towards the tree and managed to get one foot up. As he did, the second followed rapidly as he found himself running up the tree twoards Nathen and then slowed down to make sure he wasn't dreaming and laughed. "Yes! We did it! I told you!" Daried laughed as he walked over to a branch and sat down on it looking at the garden. "This place is huge. You could get lost here without even knowing."

Nathen Smiled warmly and walked over to where Darien was sitting. He sighed once he was standing beside Darien and sat so he was facing him. "W-we can go l-latter to get s-some ice cream , r-right?" Nathen asked. A grin had over taken Nathen's features as he talked. He swung his feet on either side of the branch like a five year old. "B-but th-this time, I pay." He pulled lightly on the edge of his sleeve, stretching the fabric over his lose fits. The teen's tail flicked behind him happily as he watch Darien.

"Sure!" Darien said as he scratched his head a moment, slightly confused at the change of attitude that Nathen had shown. He then smiled softly and nodded. "We can go get Ice Cream later. I'm tired anyways. Focusing chakra is hard. It makes me wonder how Tamotsu does it so easily." Darien said he yawned and looked at the garden again. "It's odd how this forest is nothing but a sea of cherry blossom trees and flowers. It's as if it's meant to be nothing more then a place of peace and tranquility. I've never seen something like this." Darien sighed as he thought about the earthen place he lived in before.

Nathen was quite proud of himself. His grin slowly depleted back to the sheepish one he usually wore when he looked out into the cherry tree sea. His tail stopped moving around and the wind picked up. Pulling his legs up, Nathen was sitting cross-legged, he turned in the same movement to face to scenery. His eyes drifted close and his breathing slowed. "I-I like it h-here." He whispered into the breeze that was blowing gently on his face. Nathen rested his elbows on his knees and dropped his chin in his waiting palms. He was barely moving at all, just the slight movements of his chest gave away that he was still alive.

Darien smiled as he looked at his at peace friend and then nodded. He picked Nathen up and walked back down the tree, making enough chakra to keep them from falling off. He then repositioned Nathen on his back and walked over to the house that was in the forest. As they came in the door. Darien sighed and spoke. "Darien, Stone." He said as another door in the hall appeared. He smiled and put Nathen down. "This is one of the house's secret rooms. If you wanna rest for a bit you can. I'ma go make more Ice Cream." Darien smiled as he walked to the kitchen.
