A light blush danced on Nathen's cheeks when he herd how stupid he sounded. He wiggled his nose faintly and looked down at his nose.

When Darien volenteered to feed him, he opened his mouth to say 'no thank you', but insted the Ice Cream was poped in his mouth. A look of surprise and worry flashed across Nathen's face. Soon after the shock his expresssion changed to be one of curiosity. He didn't even notice the Ice Cream had somehow got on his cheek, and jumped slightly when the cloth touched his face. Nathen rubbed off the wet spot on his cheek with his sleeve, before he smiled warm, but still weak, smile at Darien and a light giggle pushed pass his lips.

"I believe they are getting far too acquainted, what do you think boy? Should we interrupt and begin training them? I believe so. Come along." Tamotsu said as the gray wolf looked at him and gave a small sigh and whimper. Tamotsu walked into the house and cleared his throat as Darien was smiling back at Nathen. However, the games ended when Darien turned to see the Hokage standing in the same room with them. His heart jumped and he fell out of his chair.

"Tamotsu-sama! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to break any rules!" Darien began begging.

"Calm down. I'm not angry in fact, I'm here to help train you two in some basic arts. I'm gonna teach you how to climb a tree." Tamotsu said softly.

Nathen jumped at the same moment at Darien. Except he fell right out of his chair and hit his back off the floor. Nathen was winded for a moment but he sat back up. He rubbed his head while Darien ranted soemthing about breaking the rules and his brows knitted. He only started to try and pay attention when Tamotsu started to talk.

"'You two?'" He repeated, trying to figure out what the hokage ment. "Tree climbing?"

"Come out to the garden. I'll teach you to climb the old cherry tree. Then you guys should be fine from there. It's simple. Don't waste time though." Tamotsu said as he picked up both boys and put them on his shoulders and walked them both out into the garden. As they arrived, he sat them down beside a huge cherry tree that was at least 20 feet wide. He looked up at the tree and smiled.

"This tree is as old as me. 18 years old. It's been walked on by alot of people that my dad trained once. Anyways, Kinobori is simple. You make a thin layer of chakra come down to the base of your feet and control it's balance to walk up the tree. Do to little and you'll fall back down. Too much and you'll fly off the tree. Begin! Oh! And remember to do the ram seal." Tamotsu smiled as he walked off.

Nathen sqeaked quietly when he was picked up. His tail quickly clung to Tamotsu's arm. He got off his shoulder quite gracefully but stumbled on a root. Nathen turned on his heels to look up at the tree, and he just gawked at the size.

"P-please, c-catch me if I f-fall." Nathen whispered to himslef as he closed his eyes slowly and formed the ram seal. Small swirls pulsed from his feet weakly, but he never opened his eyes.

Darien looked at the tree as if it's size were a normal occurrence in life and nature. He simply stood up and dusted himself off. He wanted to prove he was more then just a subordinate and prepared himself a bit. He closed his eyes and began to old the ram seal. As he did, a small faint blue lining of chakra took his foot. He focused as hard as he could but then his lift off the ground began increasing too fast and he fell over on to the floor and sighed. "I did too much!" He grumbled and then stood back up to try again.

Nathen stayed calm and kept his eyes closed. consintrating on the bottom of the souls of his feet. A aqua coloured chakara burst from his feet, sending him a few feet back. Nathen gasped loudly as he hit the ground. He had used to much chakara. He stood back up, wincing in the slight pain after a few moments and went at it again. Pulling more chakara down to his feet, his eyes clamped shut and his hands molded togetehr to form the ram seal. "C'mon." Nathen whispered to himself.

Darien began to collect chakra again this time at a much more calmer pace then before, not wanting to over do it again. He relaxed himself and held his ram sign as the chakra began to flow to his feet. It gave off the faint glow again and Darien opened his eyes and the walked up to the tree. He placed his first foot on the tree and it anchored well. Feeling confident, he placed the second on the tree only to lose his balance and crash his head into the floor below hard. He looked up and felt stupid for not holding his chakra longer.

Nathen took one measured step toward the tree, carefully balancing himself with out opening his eyes. He inhaled deeply, lifting his other foot slowly in an almost sloth like speed. Nathen blinked his eyes open when he was hovering between standing on the ground and clinging to the tree, to look over to Darien. His concentration broke for half a second but it was enough. As soon as his eyes where open he lost his grip and tumbled down on his back, landing on a weird angle beside Darien. the breath he didn't know he was holding, pushed out of his lungs. Making him gasp for the breath he lost. Nathen furrowed his brows and pouted. Confusion riddled his eyes as he tried to figure out what knocked him off balance.

Darien got up rubbing his head a bit from the fall which seemed to rattle his brains a bit. He shook off the stun and then he began tp focus collecting his chakra to his feet. As he did, his feet picked up off the ground slightly and he took a deep breath and looked at Nathen. "We can do this together!" He said smiling as he ran towards the tree and made it up a few steps befor flipped off the tree and landed on the ground on one knee. He sighed as he stood back up and took a deep breath but smiled despite his failures.
