To be able to summon an ally, they must have a tatoo or item with certain words and your blood on it. The scroll you use has a portion written in the ally's blood. When you call the ally, the item or tattoo glows, and if they want to let you summon them they double tap it. Anything that's worn or held by the ally teleports them, except other living things (small nin-pet will still go).
