Arekkusu nodded sadly as he followed Blood. The answer he had recieved was less then what he expected. He had learned nothing of what he wanted to know and Blood's evasiveness of the real answer began to frustrate him. He didn't want to get angry with him for risk of losing his guardian, so he kept silent. He walked behind him, still holding his shirt as people began to avoid him and Blood completely. He smiled a bit as the others stopped bumping into him and closed his eyes as he followed the man to us his unknown destination.
"Blood, be honest, why do you let me follow you? You could have left me back at Suna and let hunter-nin to collect me. But you didn't like most missing-nin. And you don't need me as much as I need you. So, why keep me around?"
He said looking down to the ground below.

Arekkusu wasn't sure for a moment what he meant at all. He was lost in the poll of all the words Blood has spoken and he tried to make them make sense. However, the loud grumble in his stomach encompassed his thoughts and most speech around him. He blushed insanely and looked down embarrassed at himself. He didn't want to look up for risk of earning someone's chargin. He walked behind Blood and thought a bit while trying to restrain his stomach. As he walked he just shrugged it off and went on a gut instinct. He didn't feel comfortable doing so but he broke away from Blood and ran out in front of him. Then, he gave him an embrace and let go quickly.
"Thanks for keeping me around then." He said unsure of what to say in that moment. His stomach once more ruled the moment as it growled. _________________ Tamotsu Says: Relax. No seriously... Blood winded down a side alley. It was much quieter here and seemed to give a feeling of lower class. Blood said little as he scanned each of the back doors which they passed. They came to a dead end and he spotted what he sought for. A single door labelled, " Red X" seemd to catch his attention. He walked up and knocked quietly. An automated voice came from behind it. " The fire wells up...?"
Blood answered quickly in the similar riddle-like speech. " And comes to end the chaos." This was apparently some kind of password as the door swung open silently. Blood walked into the room. It was dimly lit from the high windows and seemed to be tinted brown. It was ruddy and the large pieces of furniture scattered in the living-quarter sized room seemed old and worn. The dust choked his throat but he held stance and did not cough. There was several men seated but they did not seem to have faces. Blood kept his eyes specifically off them and looked generally foward. He nudged Arrekusu in the ribs in a gesture to do the same.
" Do you have it?" One of them asked in a harsh voice. Blood nodded and pulled out several sheets of paper. Written on it was musical notes. They appeared to be unplayable and generally useless but the men moved restlessly in anticipation. The one man stood up and took the many sheets. He glanced over them quickly before handing Blood several thousand Ryo.
" You may leave now." Blood nodded once more and exited the building. He pulled Arrekusu along outside with him. The door behind them shut quickly and the clicking of locks could be heard. The ominous feeling that had swept over him before made him shake after their ordeal and he kept to himself as the two walked in the alley. He looked up at blood and then back down. He sighed softly as he looked back down. Feeling a bit shaken up, he instinctively, grabbed Blood's hand and walked with him knowing this would make an awkward moment between the two. However, he was scared and had no one else but the missing-nin with him and a giant fan. Blood said nothing and did nothing out of the ordinary except squint his eyes. This itself may have been ordinary due to the increasingly bright light that often slipped past the tall buildings which welled up beside them. He looked over to Arrekusu before speaking slowly: " Do you feel that? An air of electricity. Far off mind you, but strong as if the blood flow there is breaking such a speed in all. It must be an Examination of sorts." "It could be the Chuunin Exams I was suppose to be in. Maybe we can make it there in time? I mean I heard it was being held in the Water Country which isn't that far from here, is it?"
Arekkusu thought for a moment as he looked away. He couldn't feel anything that blood was talking about and it rather made him upset that he couldn't catch it. He sighed knowing he would have to put his differences aside and make sure that he competed well in the exams if he was allowed to go. _________________ Tamotsu Says: Relax. No seriously... " Hm... There is much to do first..." Blood muttered to himself. He looked around quickly before speaking again in the lightest voice that Arrekusu had ever heard. " I would like to accompany you but I have much to do. I am truly sorry, but you must make this journey alone. I can pay for a horse to rent for the ride, and I promise to meet you there once I'm done." The chuunin exams, huh? Toushiro was leaning against the wall of the building the pair just left. He was tracking them for some time, and decided this time was the best to make his entrance. I suggest you go there now, kid. It would be best for you, - walking towards the two, the shinigami eyed them carefully. The reports were true - one was a high man, wearing a formal suit, with pale skin and long black hair. He was accompanied by an unimportant character, who seemed to be a genin of Otogakure. Cardinal Blood. You are under arrest. Surrender now and your life will be spared, - said Toushiro, reaching for his sword slowly. _________________

Arekkusu, feeling that there was nothing left to do, nodded and ran off quickly. He looked back at Blood hoping that the two would meet again. Feeling like something told him that he wouldn't, he looked down almost defeated. He closed his eyes and began to make a vow silently in the back of his mind. He wasn't far from the exams and would have to get there as soon as possible if he would participate without forfeiting his spot in the exams.
