((OOC: this thread is for me and OzanzaruSyra, unless either of us feel like letting someone else join later))

Takuto walked alongside the mysterious man known as Cardinal Blood, he couldn't help but feel nervous by the way the man walked, almost gliding like a ghost. Takuto seemed to avoid eye contact when given the chance, and didn't talk too much if presented the oppertunity. He could tell just by the way the man had smiled at him earlier, that death is something he's encountered before, and possibly many times. He seemed to polite to be someone who'd take the life of another and not feel bad about it, but maybe Takuto had him figured wrong, maybe his assumptions were far off from the truth, the truth, something he was very interested in at this point.

Takuto looked up at him from the corner of his eye, he knew the man could tell that he was looking, but didn't care.

"So like... what exactly do you want from me? And what are we doing?"

Blood walked in silence alongside the young man for quite some time. He had made a few sentences in light banter, but that was mostly just to ease the tension. He himself never was a man to socialize. He talked with purpose and concisely at that. His large body did nothing to diminish his agility. He walked without a sound or whisper; in remisicense of a specter it seemed. He could tell the young man was thinking, and thinking hard. Cardinal was glad that he had such a deep student. It would be much more difficult to teach someone who was not.

" I want hope. That's all I want. Of course, I can't ask for something without giving something. It's against the laws of the universe. So, we're here to train you. You can not give hope without being powerful. And to attain power, you must learn to control it first. Simply put it, I'm training you to become a chuunin."

Takuto was somewhat suprised at what he heard, but at the same time relieved. Takuto always believed that to be a good ninja, you must not let your oponent know who you are as a person. otherwise you'll be easy to read. Takuto understood Blood's words perfectly, even though he didn't really care, he did not disagree with them either, thus allowing him to comply with this man. Takuto's blank expression faded as he realized that there was no point in playing dumb with this guy.

"If you're looking for hope chances are you wont find it if you hold back, so lets get this training underway, I'm kind of excited about it, sensei."

"Perhaps I should show him what I can do, this way he can analyze my style and train me appropriately for it. This looks like a good spot, lots of space, though not many places to hide, then again, hiding would be pointless against this guy anyway"

"Not to seem impatient sensei, but can we get started now, feels like we've been walking forever. What kind of training do you have in mind?"

" Something easy," He said mildly, looking around with intent in his lucid eyes. He was searching for something. His eyes darted around the large open fields until he caught sight of his target. Blood began to move purposely towards whatever it was. His long and fast strides were hard to keep up with. It was good for the young shinobi to learn to move at a quick pace; it was better to learn here than on the battlefield.

He walked for several minutes before stopping, looking heavenwards. Above him stood a sheer cliff, the upwards in several hundred feet. It was massive and covered most of his sight on both sides.

" I might not be a good ninja, but I know how to climb. Now it's your turn." He looked over, and arched his eyebrow. " Not quite what you expected from me? Be assured whatever training I give you will be useful no matter what happens."

Takuto looked straight up the cliff, in somewhat curious as to what his Blood meant about 'knowing how to climb'. Takuto paused for a moment then looked up at Blood in question.

"Not to disagree with you sensei, but the cliff seems really smoothe, I don't see many ledges that are in reach that I could use as leverage to climb, and unless you can defy gravity I don't think we could get up there."

"There's something else to it, I can tell by the look on his face, he knows of a way, and most likely something interesting"

" How would you get across this plain? You would walk. Therefore by logic you would walk to move to the top of the cliff. So start walking." He pointed along the side before sighing audibly. It was obvious he would need to demonstrate first.

" Watch." He moved closer to the wall and lifted his legs. Miraculously his feet stuck to the smooth rock. With each step he continued higher and higher. Ten feet up slid back down. He pointed to the rock again, motioning for his pupil to attempt as well.

Takuto looked up as his sensei walked up the side of the cliff.

"You've got to be kidding me... oh well here goes nothing"

Takuto put his foot against the sheerness of the cliff and stopped before he lifted his other leg.

"Wait a sec, what am I doing, if I just blantly walk up the side I'll fall for sure, no, I bet he's using his chakra somehow, and judging from how he did it, it was in his feet, which means I have to contrate and..."

Takuto jumped off his other foot and allowed it to hit the wall, he stuck for about a second then slid down the side, until he just flat out fell off and landed on his back in pain.

"...ow."

He looked up at Blood awaiting any advice that might help him advance quicker.

" Good," Blood said brightly in his incredibly dark and mysterious typical tone. He waited for his pupil to stand up after his failure before saying anything. Once his pupil was watching him intently once more, he walked up the side of the cliff once again. He dropped down and spoke softly. " Do you see the difference between what I did and what you did?" His voice vibrated into the hard stone with its low pitch.

He knew what he did differently; he had put more chakra into his footsteps and put them evenly. He hoped that his student could see the same of his attempt.

"Do you see the difference between what I did and what you did?"

Takuto looked up at Blood examining his posture and trying to focus on the control of his chakra.

"This would be a lot easier if I could see the chakra in his body..."

Takuto nodded and tried again, he took a few steps back before darting off at full sprint to the cliff. He jumped landing one foot against the wall, then the next, as he pushed himself upwards. He took a few running steps against the sheer cliff before his foot touched the wall and caused the rock to crack slightly, he fell down, flipped over landing on his feet just in time.

Takuto grunted with his shoulders slumped, he side glanced at Blood almost ashamed to ask for more advice, but atleast this time he knew what he'd done wrong, he had added too much charka when trying to climb the wall.

"I need to even it out this time, so I can atleast hold myself up"

"Guess I should try it again huh sensei?"

" Yes, it would be ideal. You are doing well; much better than I when I had to learn this. This jutsu took me a week to perfect. You may be able to perfect it in a mere hour or two. Amazing what those with the blood of a ninja can do."

He rubbed his face, deep in thought. At first he felt stricken with fear, telling another so much about his past. He soon realized his foolishness. This was only a child, unlikely to piece together his life story and most likely unwilling to kill Blood for his sins. He was much too paranoid from his travels. Possibly it was time to take a deserved break from his endeavours. He mulled over that for a moment while keeping an eye on his faithful student.
