" God damn it, I need that communications tower up!" He yelled out angrily as he saw men getting slaughtered. There was no chance to help those dying soldiers who foolishly ran up. They were either too far, or too far gone. The grenade that was lobbed knocked most of them dead, but the response fire from the enemy finished them off.
" Sir, it's almost finished!" The harried engineer cried out, fixing wires and adding pieces. He was doing it as fast as he can, but he himself had only arrived from the sunken ship minutes ago. This battle was a disaster, but they still had their strong footing. " Give me your rifle," He ordered a nearby soldier. He traded off rifles, getting the feel for it. " No scope... I like your gist.
"Return fire!" He yelled out. The twelve soldiers in the trench with him let out a barrage of suppressive fire, trying to attract attention away from their doomed companions. Sergeant picked off distant snipers, and a few paratroopers. He smiled with grim satisfaction as he reduced the enemy reinforcements, echoing bullet by echoing bullet. He gawked as another five troops began climbing the impossible terrain. They were almost immediately shot down. If he couldn't get that tower up soon and command on a wider scale, his troops would surely kill themselves. He hated leading full ground assaults, especially in the disadvantaged terrain.

The noise of battle grew louder as Kaede made his way through the thick jungle. According to the map, he was supposed to emerge at one of their outposts in just a few minutes. However, that was not meant to be. Warning: radar jamming threat detected. Radar jamming...? Does that mean... damn... He crouched down, covering himself in the bushes. I should tell these guys to build a camouflage system of some sort into this suit... dark blueish-gray in the green of jungle? Too easy to spot.
However, he did not encounter any enemy troops in the jungle. It was worse - the outpost had been taken by the Cardinal Military. Damn, just my luck... at least they haven't spotted me yet. He slowly crawled out of the bushes and hid behind a wall. The "outpost" was basically a gun bunker, with several walls on the outside and a radio transmitter. Five enemy soldiers were there - two mounted the machine guns, one was looting the place, one at the transmitter and one on the lookout. He's going down first... then the looter... then... grenade those three in the bunker... yeah, should work out.
He jumped from out of his cover, taking the lookout by surprise. A short point-blank burst sent him flying, and Kaede dashed forward at the one who was looking for ammunition on dead bodies. The man panicked, and could not grab the pistol from behind his waist in time, and in a few shots, joined the bodies he was searching just a few seconds ago. The U.O.S. soldier did not lose time, and fired his rifle-attached grenade launcher in the door of the bunker before the three inside could shoot him. When the fog cleared out, he entered the building and found three bodies, laying there. So... I just killed five people... it feels kinda... bad, - he thought. The static on his communicator has started clearing, and he realized that these people were probably jamming transmissions as well radars. _________________

Cardinal Military: Syra (Sergeant Gamin Rancor - Elite Task Force), Rin (Captain Kin Shiba - Elite Heavy Vehicle Ops)
The battle going on below between two factions with all intensity, however with no concern to the ten currently sitting within leather cockpits of ten HAVT's (Heavy Assault Vertical Tank), though the one pointed with red command colors was definitely odd in it's own right. It was known only as the 'Dezamach', and was piloted by Captain Kin Shiba of the EHVO. The chassis, constructed of heady materials, could take quite a pounding, however the EXO-Barrier, a thin layer of particles that could deflect 75% of a .50 cal blast, were what made it special. The other thing that made it apparently special was the fact that it appeared to hold only one weapon, however appearances can be deceiving, as they say. A single mechanical sword hung at the right side of the Dezamach's back, however that was not all the weaponry within the HAVT, as there were missile launchers buried within each shoulder-plate and the grip designs were created so the Runner could grip and move with any weapon. The captain went over these facts within his head as the two transports flew over the battle zone before finally finding the Land-Zone. Auto-gun fire from the two ZF-14 Shuttles tore into the enemy around the Land-zone for squad II, the shuttle landing there safely and letting five HAVT's out before lifting up.
Instantly the HAVT's sprung into action, however that view faded away from Kin's eyes as they neared his Landing Zone. "This is Delta-One, all units of Delta Squad report in" He spoke, then heard several voices return in reply to his own. "Delta Two, Ready to go." He heard, nodded slightly. along with the others chime in on Delta-2, then brought the Dezamach to life. The ZF-14 landed momentarily, allowing enough tie for the Delta Squad to leave the vicinity to the shuttle. Their LZ was next to the base where Sergeant Rancor was, an their current mission was to give him backup. He quickly spoke through the com as Dezamatch side-stepped to avoid an incoming shell. "Form a perimeter around the outpost, men." Kin commanded, Delta 3 and 4 firing into oncoming vehicles while Delta 5 fired off another cluster of missiles. Delta 2 raised suppressing fire on an emerging Vertical Tank, soon after taking it down, however Kin himself rushed forwards. Bullets dinged against the EXO-Barrier like nothing as Kin maneuvered the Dezamach to relinquish the mecha sword, tearing it through the HAVT that was approaching him. The sword's blade easily tore into the gullet of the metal beast, nearly cleaving the thing into two. _________________

An alarm wne off in Zack's helmet as he approached the Enemy commander's possition. warning, inbound enemy mechs, 10 units closing on your possition. "damn..... i dont have the firepower to take all of them...." One of the enemy HAVTs landed about 20 meters in front of him, and began opening fire on the U.O.S. troops.
Without wasting any time, Zack charged at the mech at lept onto it. He grabed hold of it's knee joint before throwing himself up higher and onto the cockpit. Once there, he pulled out his beam sword and slamed thje energy blade into it's metal hull. sir, current corse of action not advised- threat factor: 97%"never mind the threat factor" very well, if you wish to continue this corse of action, hit the designated points on its hull to render it inoperable.
a grid of points appeared on the inside of his helmet designating the machines weak points. He pulled the blade out of where he first struck and immediatly slamed it into one of the marked spots. The heat of the energy blade caused something under the plating to explode and send a chain reaction to several other spots on it. By now the pilot realized his actions and attempted to his him off with the blade, however the arm didnt move. His attack had caused the arm's gyro to be damge aqnd render it unusable.
He quickly jabed the blade in several other spots, each having the same effect on the vehicle until it siesed motion. ... interesting she had me target the micro power generators throught it's torso to remove its power sorce and shut it down. Now he moved to the cockpit and shoved the blade through the view screen and into the pilot's head, causinghis face to disentigrate on contact and also filling the cockpit with blood.
The steel hound then lept off the falling mech and returned to his possition, fireing off rounds with his assualt rifle to keep the enemy infantry back. _________________

When the static finally cleared up, Kaede was able to contact allied forces. This is Corporal Kaede Tsumemasa of the U.O.S. Over. Corporal Tsumemasa? Good Lord! This is your pilot... I thought you died when you got blown out of the craft back then... oh, hold on... Captain Lothar would like to speak with you. Over and out... Aright... Soldier, this is your captain speaking. Give me your coordinates. Coordinates? Current position - sector 4H of the battlefield.Right... you are close to Captain Heroke's position. He and some other troops have come under heavy assault NW of your position. Your orders are to move out and assist him at once. Over and out. Roger that... jeez, is he always like that?
Kaede found some ammunition and a sniper rifle at the destroyed comm-post. Having secured his own machine gun behind his back, he used the rifle to observe the battlefield, and realized that the enemy set up a major outpost just about half a mile away from his position. Alright, Sam, direct me to Captain Heroke. Setting up optimal route... complete. Bringing up data on the HUD. Right... through the trenches... alright, let's go. He had to crawl all the way to the allied forces, since the enemy was delivering heavy supressive and artilery fire. When he finally reached the officer, he felt kind of releaved. Some sort of aura radiated from Zack, which calmed Kaede, and made him look at the seemingly hopeless battle otherwise. Corporal Kaede Tsumemasa, reporting in, sir! _________________
