Alright, same rules as before with two exceptions.
1-The teams do not have to be even anymore, choose to be on whatever side you want
- even if there is only one person on a team, the vast ammount of NPCs will make up for it.
2-Only one medic per team.
-since not a lot of people joined last time, there is no need to have more than one.

Landscape:
A large costal beach surrounded by mountain forests covering a 3 square mile area. in the harbor, the cardinal military and Union of Stars naval forces engage each other in feirce combat. overhead, the orbital forces are also in combat with each other, it is about mid day and there are little U.O.S. ground forces defending the beach head, they will soon be overrun if reinforcemnts dont arrive soon. approaching from the south, a U.O.S. fleet from the pervious battle is comming to thier aid. there are 8 massive transports filled with surviving troops from the last battle. in the cluster of ships, there is also a small personal transport, fit for five people.
Remember, when you enter the battle, post for name and character as shown below, make sure to include the entire list, not just your own character.

Union of Stars: Dark (Captain Zack Heroke- Steel hounds)
Cardinal Military:
Silence filled the cabin of the small transport, the only sounds that could be heard were the light hum of the engines and the distant sounds of battle. Zack sat in a soft chair against the wall, one of six that were in the vehicle. filling up all but one of the other chairs were the four other steel hounds, the super soliders of the Union Of Stars.
He slowly took apart and put back togather all of his weapons, making sure that none of them were damaged at all from the fight that they had just left. his personally modified assualt riffle, his beamsword, and his many grenades. All that he had to show for the intense fighting was a few dents and scratches on his powersuit. He yawned, not having slept for the past two days. he and the rest of the steel hounds were given increadible strength and endurance, but that only helped them so much. he was still human, and he still needed rest.
He closed one eye and brought up a small screen on the inside of his helmet. a small overhead map appeared and showed the battle field and it's surrounding area. His possition was marked by a large red dot, the rest of the U.O.S. troops were small green dots. verified enemies were shown as yellow dots. he sighed again and waited for time to pass as they approached the next chapter of the war.

IC: Kaede was gripping his rifle nervously. He was the newest addition to the Steel Hounds, the sixth member, a rookie, who hasn't earned himself a title of a true Steel Hound yet. What have I gotten myself into... I should never have infiltrated that lab...
Kaede was a well-built, 21-year old son of a wealthy and influential businessman, who was in charge of many weapon production facilities. However, he didn't take after his father at all. Having almost unlimited money to spend from his early days, he was a very spoiled brat, and started having some bad connections at the age of 17. He didn't need money, but he took part in several small bank robberies, "just for the fun of it". As time went by, his infractions only got worse. However, his father always managed to falter any investigation.
Kaede's mind traveled back to just four days ago, when he and a few of his friends went too far. They broke into an advanced weapon research facility, seeking to obtain a little more firepower for their growing gang. They didn't know about the super-secret research that was conducted there until it was too late. His friends were killed, no questions asked, and the only thing that saved Kaede was that he jumped into a weird-looking exo-suit, hoping to escape using it.

He was standing in the middle of a small round room. The strange suit which he put on stung him a bit at first, but then it started feeling very comfortable, as if it has resized for him. However, that was not what took up his mind at the moment. Standing all around him were soldiers, aiming their guns at him. He was sure they had live ammunition in loaded - his friends' bodies on the floor were proof to that. Then, a strange man in a blue suit, with a briefcase in hand, came closer to him. The weird man looked Kaede right in the eyes, even though the helmet's view screen was a yellowish-orange mirror on the outside.
Hm, what an unfortunate set of events. Young man, do you realize you just cost the U.O.S. about 15 billion credits? The number stunned him, but he was too scared to reply anything. That's right, 15 billion credits. All because of your foolishness...
They gave him a choice back then - he would either go to the army or be killed on the spot. The choice was obvious. It was not until he got acquaintanced with some of the scientists in his three-day training period that they told him why he was left alive. The suit was a prototype for the ultimate weapon of the U.O.S., which might never be created due to the power required and the complexity of such technology. This suit had limited time-shifting capabilities, and was originally designed for Zack Heroke, the second in command of the elite U.O.S. group, Steel Hounds. However, it's protection system extracts the DNA of the first one to wear the suit, and would kill anybody else who would try to use it. There was no way to pass this defense by, and taking the suit apart would obliterate the qualities which allow it to control the flow of it. It was the ultimate protection, an insurance that the suit wouldn't fall into enemy hands, even should it's wearer be killed.

But they didn't think a bunch of young morons would break into that facility... and now I'm stuck here, having no choice but to fight, since they will fry my ass remotely should I try to escape. And all the combat training I got were mere three days... He checked his rifle once again. This was going to be his first battle, and hopefully, not his last. He glanced at the man, or rather machine, to his far right. That was the leader of the Steel Hounds, Unit NC14-something, or Lothar, as he preferred to be called. He then traversed his sight to the man across and to the left of him, who was Zack Heroke, the man who was supposed to get this superior prototype combat suit. I wonder if he ever knew about this development... and if he hates me for taking it. Kaede was overwhelmed by the man's large form, and he wasn't thinking about the power suit Heroke was wearing. He could break me in half even without that suit... and I thought I was quite the muscular guy, and I bet my black belt isn't worth s*** against his skills... wait, what am I thinking... these guys are on my side, I shouldn't be afraid of them... The APC was speeding through the coastline wasteland about as fast as Kaede's courage was leaving him. _________________

Zack absently noted one of the Steel hound looking around, he seemed nervous, afraid, like he expected to die on the spot. He of corse had heard of the lab break in but he felt no hatred toward that man. to him he was just another soldier that he was going to protect. He put his beam sword in his belt and fitted his rifle comfortably into his arm. His eyes scaned over the other Steel Hounds. all of them seemed to look a like save the new member, they each wore the same modle of armor that he had, including lothar who had it built into his robotic body.
His screen flickered red as the air transport entered the combat zone. the sounds of battle grew louder and he could feel the craft accelerating to avoid artilery fire. He looked at the newbie and opened a comm channel with him. "if im correct, this is your first fight, your an elite now weither you know it or not. each member of this team knows thier object, and you should too. save any soldiers you posiibly can. as long as we do that, this battle will be ours."
it was a very rare occation that all of the steel hounds were assigned to the same battle, however, when it happened, the U.O.S. never lost. faced with thier shear power, the vast numbers of the Cardinal military were ripped apart. Zack looked into the pilot 's cabin, keeping an eye on the enemy weapons fire through the window. a single shot was all it took to make the ship crash.
He still watched the screen in his helmet with one eye, they were getting closer to thier drop-off point and should be there very soon.

Kaede jumped in place when he suddenly heard a voice as if in his head, but quickly realized it was just the comm-link in his helm. Heroke tried to reassure him, but how could he stay as calm as the other elite warriors here? He was nervous just staying in the same transport as them, even if he forgot about the battle raging outside, which he couldn't do.
It always seemed to him that being a soldier isn't all that hard, as long as you don't get yourself killed. He would always think: how hard can it be to run around and shoot people, and trying not to get shot? Well, when one is looking at it from a side, like he did before, it really didn't seem hard at all. Only now did he realize the immense and strange pressure one was put under in battle.
He nodded in response to Zack's words and said quietly: Sam, b-battle report. S.A.M.M. was the name of the artificial intelligence prototype built into the suit. It's voice was a soft, partially robotic female one, which helped him calm down a bit. Allied forces have engaged superior enemy numbers and are currently being slowly pushed back away from the coastline. Recommended reinforcement drop points... here, here and here... - said the AI, displaying an overhead view of the battle on the HUD, and marking the points with red circles. Kaede looked at it, realizing that they were currently loosing, and not noticing that S.A.M.M. kept speaking, - ...8 minutes. Advised combat action... Yeah... thanks Sam, that's enough. He knew the AI didn't care if he was polite to her or not, but he couldn't help but act that way when hearing its voice. It might actually be for the best... I wonder just how intelligent this artificial intelligence really is, - thought Kaede, thinking about what S.A.M.M. said.
He then opened his comm-link with Cpt. Heroke. It wasn't like he had anything really important to tell him, but he needed to speak to somebody, and Zack seemed like the best choice, since he already said something himself. Our forces are being pushed back... that means the Union needs us to be at our best... and... well... I only had three days of combat simulation for training... do you know this feeling? The dismal responsibility... but, you must be used to it by now... - he realized his words didn't make much sense, as he was very nervous, generally and about talking to this man in particular. _________________

A shot of Flak artilery shot passed the transport, missing it by only a few feet. the kinetic energy of the shotcaused the craft to sway slightly. "like i said, just stick to your duty and you'll be fine.. that nervousness is the same feeling that every soldier feels when they are about to enter battle, try to ignore it, you'll get used to it eventually." he too was slightly nervous but because he was battlehardened, he shruged it off, no tace of it could be found in his voice or his actions.
a second screen flashed open on the inside of his helmet. "WARNING ENEMY FIGHTER SQUADRONS APPROACHING- HARD DROP PROBABLE" just keeps getting better and better...... he was sure that every steel hound wasw recieving the same message right now and new what to do. he pulled down a safety harness from above and attached it securly. because of the pressence of enemy fighters, it wouldnt be safe to simply touchdown and drop off the steelhounds, it was safer to drop the passenger cabin from the air and have them prceed that way... that didnt much matter if the ship got hit though, the only thing they could do was hit the emergency drop button and hope that they dont land under the plumeting ship
the red dot on his screen drew closer to the drop off point, but several yellow dots were heading towards them in great number, he looked out side of the cockpit again and watched the brilliant display of lightwork that was air combat. the yellow dots on his screen were interecepted by an even larger force of red one and half of the yellow were immediatly gone.

IC: Hold tight people, things might get a little rough, - the pilots voice came through the speaker. There probably was no need for that, since it was quite obvious to everyone inside the APC. Great... now, the battle is raging on outside, and I can't even do anything... we're practically at the enemy's mercy... damn, I'm gonna get killed without even a chance to fight back!
It's not far now... T-2 minutes to drop off... going at minimum altitude to avoid enemy artillery... Screw this! - shouted Kaede, jumping up from his place, - Isn't there some sort of drop capsule you can launch us in? We're gonna get toasted in here! I... Soldier! Get back to your place, now. That's an order, - Lothar's mighty voice interrupted him. The engineers did a good job with copying his real voice into this robotic shell, but it still sounded somehow synthetic, not like a human's. Well no wonder. Kid, get back to your place, this isn't... oh, s***! Brace for impact!
Before Kaede could do anything, a guided missile hit the transport from behind, tearing the rear hatch apart. The young man wanted to scream as he felt his feet separate from the floor, but fear has frozen the air in his lungs. He realized he fell out, but felt strangely indifferent about it. The shock and fear must have blocked my emotions... I've heard of this... He watched the transport fly away, smoke emerging from its metal carcass. Warning: high-altitude drop imminent. Possibility of a lethal outcome: one hundred percent.Wow... way to keep a guy's morals up. Minimum altitude huh... it's about a hundred feet! Maybe it haven't drop altitude enough when...

At first, nothing seemed to happen, but then... it was a tingling sensation. Everything seemed to start moving slower... the transport slowly flew ever further, being chased by lazy enemy fighters... Warning: high-altitude drop imminent. Possibility of lethal outcome: one hundred percent... I've heard that three times already! Time shift correction: ninety-two percent. Resulting possibility: eight percent. Wow... that's good to hear. Warning: high-speed impact imminent. Recommended course of action: assume landing position. Landing position? What are you... - Kaede stopped as he realized he was flying head down. Great, so how do I turn over?
The impact was quite hard, and the man's legs hurt like hell, even with the suit's strength enhancement. He sat down to take a breather. Well, at least I'm still alive. All thanks to this suit... it's kinda... way cooler than I thought. I think this is a perfect chance to get... wait. They'll probably detect this suit, and when they realize it's still moving... damn... looks like I have no choice, - thought Kaede, standing up and heading in the direction of the raging battle, - Sam, battle report please. _________________

as the rear of the vehicle was ripped apart, the pilot slamed his hand down on a small button. Zack stared out the massive hole at the figure of the falling steel hound. Lothar's voice sounded once more through the remains of the hull, this time at a louder level to speak over the sound of battle. " Alright, all Steel hounds, get into action, we dont have time to just sit here, MOVE. "
A grin crossed Zack's face, it wasnt the safest way to enter combat, but it sure as hell was fun. He fliped a switch and his harness released. In a few moments, six figures launched themselves out the back of the failing and engineless craft, only one opened a parachute, the pilot. The other five assumed a skydiving possition, and slowly spread apart in the skies. Zack looked over his shoulder quickly, watching the transport go down. "what a shame, thats a waste of a good paint job." he said over the comm. On both sides of the transport, a black wolf had been been painted in great detail, signifiying who was in it.
His attention quickly returned to the ground, keeping an eye out for enemy fire. He adjusted his possition to avoid and artilery shot, seperating himself from the rest even more. After a few more moments, he changed possition and hit the ground on his feet with a soft thud. a small shock went up his legs, but he was used to this. as if by reflex, his rifle was already out and firing at two nearby soldiers who clashed against the ground in thier battle armor.
he was in a forest area, just behind the U.O.S. front line. the beach was only about a quarter of a mile away. thats where he was needed, and thats where he was headed. He took off in a half sprint , his rifle up at his eye. On the inside of his helmet, a screen poped up next to the map and it zoomed in on where the other steel hounds were. he took note of the fact that kaede's possition was changing. a good sign that ment that he survived the drop without the training of the rest. _________________

IC: A hail of gunfire rained above his head. He dropped low, sliding into the small trench dug poorly into the muddy ground. Water seeped into the bottom, chilling their feet, but that was the least of their worries. Bullets ricocheted off the top of the drift, just inches above their heads. The reinforcements of their enemies were inbound, and they still hadn't made headway into the beach head. Several of this unit lay dead, others wounded deeply. If they didn't get the necessary medical attention soon, there would be no hope for their survival.
" Sergeant, our left flank is weakening!" A spotter cried out beside him. Just another thing to worry about. The enemy was holding it well, despite their small numbers. Another torrent of gunfire made everyone pull down again. They could not take much more of this. " Damn," He said, his voice muffled from the grenades hanging from his mouth.
He adjusted his muddied kev vest and his jacket. He peered above the line, the sun shining into his eyes. His calm demeanor helped see that the enemies fire was shaky, and spurts at best. They were weakening, almost ready for a full retreat. " Come on boys, we can take them!" He yelled out. He let a few shots out, and everyone in this troupe leapt up to put pressure on the soldiers.
Sergeant let up his fire, going from man to man, checking their wounds. He administered quick patches on the wounded; he gave full vials of his medicine to the critical. Not that there was much hope of them surviving, but at the very least they could live to see the top of that beach.
His work done here, he pulled himself over the makeshift barrier. " Wait; you've been shot several times sir! Maybe you should take a breather," One of the soldiers yelled after him.
He looked at his body; he had barely noticed the half dozen bullets stuck in his arms, legs and shoulders. He shrugged, and started jogging off. These were only minor wounds. His men needed him more than he needed himself. _________________ Syra's Theme - 463

Looking at the map on the inner surface of his helmet's display, Kaede realized he was actually behind enemy lines, but a little aside from the battle. That explained why he wasn't shot down by neither hostile nor allied forces. Reinforcements have helped stabilize the front line. Advised course of action: rejoin main forces. Alright, try and connect me to somebody who could give me directions... That is unadvised. Establishing a transmission at this position would draw hostile attention, which would be highly unfavorable due to being dangerously outnumbered. Uh, great... ok then, I need a zoomed map of my surroundings.
Kaede was sort of intimidated by S.A.M.M.'s intelligence level, or at least by her competence in the matter. Had it not been for her, he would have fallen to his death, and now probably detected by the enemy if he had somehow survived. Too bad she can't shoot the gun in my place, too. As he studied the map a little, he set a route which he decided would be optimal for reaching allied forces. What he didn't know, is that he was walking straight into the lion's den. _________________

Zack's feet pounded through the sand below him, shaking the ground slightly with the weight of his armor. He had just reached the defensive line and was surveying the battle situation. The enemies were being held down in a trench by suppresive weapons fire, but a few were getting couragous and were making a charge. a reading on his helmet's map indicated that an enemy commander was among them, but he was quite a distance away. He let out several bursts with his assualt riffle, blasting a few of the soldiers back into the trench, dead or severely wounded.
as if in reaction to his fire, five more enemy soldiers sprung out of the trench and made a charge toward his possition. With a fluid motion, he grabed two grenades off his belt and lobbed them at the approaching formation. The grenades exploded in a violent blast that kicked up large amounts of sand. Sir, one of the grenades failed to detonate- proable cause: damage from hard drop. Currently scanning remaining equipment for similar damage. "thank you Hirashi, notify me when you are fini-" done sir, grenades 3,5,6, and 10 are damaged, along with ammo cartiridges 2 and 4. recomended corse of action: dispose of items to reduce load. "um... thanks Hirashi"
The AI was a new installment and he hadnt gotten used to her speed and precision yet. He removed the specified items from his ammo belt and tossed them into the enemy trench, hiting an enemies head that was trying to crawl out. ammunition remaining: 2 fragmentation grenades, 1 ion grenade, 1 shock grenade, 324 assualt riffle rounds, and 100% energy for beam sword.
e fired off a few more bursts and started making his way across the beach to the command center. He was moving at a steady pace, stoping only to fire off a few rounds every once and a while. He knew he needed to save his ammo until he reached the command center, which was about a mile away. _________________
