Ryu tore off his blindfold and took off the top half of his kimono. Then he grabbed a yellow pill and put it in his mouth and ate it. Soon, he began changing, his hair shortened, scars appeared on his face. One going down his eye, another going across his face. Two had appeared on his chest in an X shape. His muscles filled out more, and his red, blind eyes turned into golden, dead eyes, no longer holding the youth Reileyn fell in love with. Then his hair changed, from blue to a salt and pepper color. "I'm Eric Hatake. Or I was." he admitted. "I died on the day Reileyn Itichi left me in a last ditch effort to save me. I was reborn into a machine that ran on hatred and wanted revenge. That died when the same person he went to save, wanted to kill him. From there, he was reborn, into a wandering swordsman, who just stopped caring, because everyone stopped caring about him."

Reileyn saw her beloved in front of her. But something about him was different, "Eric..." She stated looking at all of the scars. She still loved him. HOw could she now. But she also just wanted to go home. SHe wanted to be among family right now. SHe wanted to see her brother and his wife again. If she was killed than so be it. She couldn't help but look at him. HIs once youthful face was gone. She looked at him as tears streamed down her face. She wanted to be with him but didn't know what to do anymore

"I knew it. Zieg got to you first." Eric said. "So I spent these last six months training, for nothing." He took out his blade, the Rairyu katana. "I trained myself, nearly killed myself, having to fake my death, all to rescue you." he explained. "Now, its all gone to waste." he didn't cry, as he gave out all of his tears months ago. He looked at the blade, and then at Reileyn. "The love I get, the love I couldn't protect. While blaming my powerlessness, I'm drowning in a sea of blood." With that, he lifted his katana, and began to push it towards his heart so he could commit seppkuu.

Reileyn looked at him in suprise, "ERic!!" She yelled at him, not wanting to see him dead, "I heard you were dead. But only to see you alive again. It just makes my heart ache. I want to be with you so much. But what I want I can't get. I also to be home with my brother." She stated as tears ran down her face, "Please Eric...don't kill yourself." She stated as she started crying. She couldn't look at him. She loved him, but she didn't want to see him kill himself in front of her. She knew she would be killed and she awaited her death.

"You had no problem last time." Eric said, sword centimeters away from entering his skin. Then he remembered something from such a long time ago. He picked Reileyn up and put her down next to the tree, and then he sat next to her. Time to take a jump back into the past. "Lady Reileyn, are you embarrased that I'm sitting next to you? I'll get up and move if need be." he said softly, though he rather wouldn't. Then he looked away. "Ah, I copy my brother, and he's the famous Copy Ninja." Eric said. "I'm glad that you think that my smile is nice though. Maybe you should keep your hair that way when you're not on missions. It looks nice." "Reileyn, you....you're beautiful. Do you know that?" Then he waited to see how Reileyn would react. He didn't forget that conversation. That one moment that brought them together.

Reileyn remembered the day they had met. SHe would always remember it. SHe had often walked by the place they had met in Oto, "I haven't forgotten about that day Eric. I never will. But I still can't see how you can love someone who is related to your enemy." She stated looking at him. SHe was wondering when he would untie her since the ropes were getting little to tight on her. "Eric....forget about me. Please." SHe said looking at him not knowing what to do. She wanted to leave this place but she didn't want to leave Eric

"Sometimes, I think about the reason why Zieg is my enemy now. I knew the answer, but....it's so simple that it feels stupid." Eric told her. "The reason he wanted you back, the reason he wants to kill me, is because he's being an overprotective big brother." he sighed. "If he didn't have his head shoved so far up his a-hole half the time, maybe he could have seen how much his sister had loved someone and just approve the relationship." Eric got up and then sat in front of Reileyn. "As for me forgetting about you, never. I loved you. You're my fiancee. I never break my nindo, and I swore to get you a ring." he said as pulled out one from his back pocket and put it on her ring finger. The words "E & R Forever" were inscribed onto it. Then he kissed the woman who he despretely wanted for her to say that she wanted to stay with him.

Reileyn looked at Eric and looked at the ring he had given her, E&R forever....oh Eric. She looked at the ring and tears started formingin her eyes. But when she heard him start to bad mouth her brother she got upset. Even though he had kissed her, she was upset that he had badmouthed her brother, "Eric....I love you. But please do not badmouth my brother. I know he is overprotective. BUt he is only protective of me because I am the only family besides Kamira he has left." Reileyn stated looking at her fiancee, "I will stay with you. But you gotta let me go home. If you do n't then I will face my death her."

"They can't touch you here." Eric said. "You are among friends here." Then he smiled a bit. "Besides, your dream was to be a medic-nin, was it not? I....well....I'll let you go home, but under no circumstances can Zieg find out about this ring, or that....before I let you go home....we will be official married. Are those terms acceptable?" he asked, looking at her. Zieg was a person you did not want to be on the wrong side of. He knew that all to well. He also knew in a Chidori battle, that he would win over the Otokage.

Reileyn looked at him and nodded. Hiding something from her brother wasn't going to be easy. This would be the hardest battle of all. "Yes they are acceptable." She stated as she looked up at him. He may of forgot that she was tied up and she sighed looking at him, "Well are you going to untie me or what?" She stated looking at him wondering why he had hurt himself so baddly. She didn't quite understand it all. But he had agreed to some of her terms and she had agreed to his. She smiled at him, wondering how someone could care about her so much. It had amazed her.
