Hmm, yes the point of the jutsu is to take an opponent out of the fight quickly.
Hmm how about if I replaced the extreme effects of being caught in the jutsu with something less so... Maybe extreme fatigue? Though I still think it should at least knock out an rpc of two ranks lower.
That's better, but instead of knocking out the person put " Will knock out the average shinobi of two ranks lower," or something of the sort. That seems a lot more fair. _________________

Description: This Jutsu is often used in a situation where holding the opponents shadow may be difficult. It is performed by the user taking hold of a weapon, such as a Kunai, with Kage Mane. The user then stabs this weapon through the opponents shadow, via Kage Mane. Once this has been done, the opponent will be frozen without the user having to maintain Kage Mane.
Bind Time: The Bind lasts half the time of a regular Kage Mane. (No lower than 1 post)
Though this is a ninjutsu. And plenty more powerful. Point being towards able to walk around and stabby stabby. But i have to agree what stops you from stabbing them? But I still don't see why one can't.
Which leads to next part.
Screw fatigue, How would someone become tired from being within this genjutsu? Time still passes at a normal rate. Stress wouldn't cause that much fatigue in a healthy individual, both body and mind. Minor fatigue and Shock though can be done in any case. Though you did never mention a time basis for this. Can the whole thing take 2 posts? 1 post? 3 posts? Chains=1, you appearing and the fear=2, and actual heart ripping=3. This is just the actions itself, the actual effects are another part. Sorry forgot to add this detail before.
I still agree with heart complications for 2 ranks lower. Basing on a lack of exp from situations of death. Unconsciousness would be the lower end of heart complications. Paralyzing fear (shock) would be done on others.
This would be similar to Orochimaru's (damn, forgot name of move) move that shows your death.
Is your purpose though to make someone sleepy, or to allow time to fight others? As you said, if in a multi person fight, cast on one, then fight another. But in a 1vs1 fight what is purpose? Based on answer is how you should make it.

ok yasou after hearing so much about your kinjutsu i have to say thats atleast S-rank right away. With erveryting you describe its S-rank so whoever told you B is just plain wrong. I also dont understand that last part about letting them move around freely since you have to maintain Eye contact with them so if you could explain that to me either in pm or im me with that explaination i would appreceate it. Also with this genjutsu it is really powerful at B-rank. It all comes back to the Now and Later effect that i think you understand if you have no idea i will gladely explain it to you in pm or im. _________________ Mouken

Am I the only one who thinks the Earth ninjutsu should be S rank or possibly even a Kinjutsu. Ignoring the genjutsu for now, the fact that it can be used to basically irresistibly immobilize any non taijutsu spec opponent (who are the only ones who might be considered 'strong' enough to break it) for two turns basically turns it into an Auto-Kill on anyone who gets hit by it. _________________

Any and all jutsu can be an auto kill. The fact that it doesn't kill with itself seems to allow A ranked. Now if these hands could sqeeze someone to death....

The user must first get underground and directly below the target, after which they will pull the enemy into the ground so that only their head remains overground as they emerge on the surface. The collapsing ground will effectively block the victim's movement as they fall into the hole, so it will take them some time to escape, if they are able to on their own at all. This jutsu can be used to pull an opponent underground completely, but in that case a firm layer of earth or rock will not be created around the target's body and they will be able to escape much easier.
Same idea just less needed to pull his off. By pure description his can be B rank...but
Though, the forming of actual hands. Something as intricate as that might require A-S ranked. It also depends if it rises up in only one area. Or if it can chase them (either the same hands stretch, or a series of hands erupting from the ground). Thus it brings up a fact of how far can the hands reach. If just out of the ground or they can stretch.
This would be like Sasori's Kazekage puppet hands?
Guessing only a few feet out of the ground by description.
Also depending on the size of the hands. For hands to wrap around an opponent would require large hands. Though if it is small hands restraining...
The part that bothers me is the Steel. It seems to strong. Some ninjutsu can break decent size rock. But steel. Even few tiajutsu can break steel. Dent maybe, but break?
Resengun and Chidori nins, though Taijutsu I can't find any that i have seen break steel. Maybe Kuguya bones, if the steal is thin enough and ninja strong enough.
I think this should be moved down to regular Solid stone in density. Then after the 1-2 posts it degrades to broken stone, falling apart easily. Since hands can be respawned it wont matter if a few are broken during first contact. It is hard to break through anything if you can't move your hands more then a few inches. *goes into Kill Bill joke....*
If this were small hands restraining grabbing at several spots to wrap, only stretching 5 feet from ground, and only in one area, and stone dencity, this could be B rank~? (based on description assumptions and moving to stone denisity)
