It surpasses both in that it can actually survive after taking damage.

Anyway, I'm only concerned about the chakra not about what jutsu it's similar too, that doesn't matter D:

Kats its an improvement on the Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique . The reason why the special effects of the weapon don't carry over is because A) You really, really don't want to see how badly I could abuse that, and B) when ever a weapon someone uses any of the non shadow clone jutsu, the weapon effects don't usually carry over.

The only reason why its even called the Weapon Shadow clone jutsu is because the original is called the Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique and if the technique is merely an upgrade then changing the naming scheme wouldn't work.

Also, Chraka details added into the Mist Mirror Clone

Something like a 20% chakra lost to the technique automatically in addition to the jutsu used / death of the clone seems fair, considering you're using something else for your entire fight.
