As he came to the end of the hand seals the Tsuchikage could feel the power of the lightning gathering in his hand, he focussed on the shape of a spear and watched as the electricity formed itself into a six foot long rod of lightning, but something seemed wrong. The spear was unstable and Yasuo could feel the chaotic chakra, he tried to get it back under control but it was too late, the spear exploded in the kage's hand and flung him backwards through the air with a cry of surprise. Yasuo skidded along the ground on his back, amazed, he looked down at his hand and saw a few minor burns, nothing serious.

"More powerful than I thought" The kage said to himself quietly as he flexed his burnt hand, it didn't seem to have impaired him in any way and he slowly got back to his feet, at least he knew what to do now. The sage once again began the hand seals, he began to gather the chakra into his hand and now right from the beginning he was focussing on keeping it under control, a ssecond later the spear had fromed perfectly in his hand. Yasuo looked at it for a second then smiled, he launched it at the trees and watched as it moved with incredible speed and ripped through the trunk of countless trees before flying into the air and dissipating.

Yasuo sighed with a slightly heavy heart, but soon hardened himself and began a string of handseals. What made this jutsu unique was that instead of it originating from the users mouth a jet of flame would blaze from just before their torso, it was useful in the right circumstances. As the kage came to the end of the hand seals he winced, the heat of the flame could already be felt and as it blazed forward the rock below the sage was instantly melted into magma, but also a cry of pain could be heard coming from Yasuo. As the fire dissipated Yasuo fell to one knee, and looked down to his torso where the flames had backfired.

The Tsuchikage robes which Yasuo was wearing had been burned straight through the chest, as had the battle gear he wore beneath and now his scorched torso was visible to anyone who would look to him. "I...Wasn't expecting that" He breathed and grimaced as his finger lightly trailed over the injury. The kage slowly got back to his feet, he wasn't going to give up here because of a simple injury, he never stoppped once he started something, it was how he had become the man he was today. And so he ran through the hand seals again, once more the heat could be felt on his torso but instead of ignoring it this time he made every effort to direct it in front of him. And it worked, the flames erupted forth from Yasuo but none of the heat affected him and he smiled as the flames disappeared. "I think I'd better go get a change of robes though..." He said slowly.
