2/2 : Jutsu Learned

Tears welled up in Zephiel's eyes as the pain from his ribs was amplified by his fall. He let himself lie on the ground for a few moments before he pushed himself back onto his knees. I definately need to get that checked out when i get back... Sighing, he looked down to see that he skinned his knees on the gravel. For the time being... I have to figure out how to control that... He used his wings to stand back up again and looked behind him to see how far he had traveled. Its... almost like shunshin... maybe if i look at it like that, I can figure out how not to... well, end up on the ground again.

He focused his chakra again, this time using much less energy. Releasing his chakra, Zephiel vanished from his position. Moving almost too fast to see, he appeared back at his original position. Alright, got it... huh? He looked down in his hand, realizing that he was still holding his pendant. He put it back on his belt and tried using the technique again. The same thing happened, however, he only crossed half the distance that he did before. So... my pendant... it makes these abilites more powerful? ......interesting...what else- Another deep pain pulsed from his ribs, forcing him back down into a crouching possition. The pain amplified itself, soon overwhelming his senses. Zephiel's vision blurred at the edges, soon spreading a blackness over the rest of his sight. He fell onto his side, unconscious.

Zephiel awakened several hours later in the dead of night, grogy with an aching pain. All attempts to stand were immediately met with painful failure. Having given up trying, Zephiel used a different approach. He gripped his pendant in hand and started flapping his wings. The strengthened chakra easily lifted him up into the air. Still unable to move much, he hung by his wings as he flew, half conscious, back towards the village. It took several minutes, but he eventually found himself back at the village gates, at which time his wings dispelled and he collapsed back on the ground. A village guard soon collected him and brought him inside the safety of the village walls.
