Rinkotsu turned around to see another man that had joined the group. He had an odd sort of aura around him, one that Rinkotsu was slightly cautious about. He had no reason to fear him though, so he wasn't as defensive as he would normally be. He even had a strange appearance, something demonic or cult like, something he would have to get used too. Giving the man one last look over, he realized this was probably their new sensei, which made him laugh a little on the inside. Such a weird character for a sensei would either be interesting or dreadful, he would find out soon as he fully turned around to face the man.

His earlier observations were proved true as the man began to speak, notifying them that he was indeed their new sensei. A strange piece of information was also gather as he spoke, apparently the leader of a clan, Tensei he thought he said. Wondering what that meant about their new sensei, he put it to the back of his mind so he could ask him about it later. It seemed so far each of the members in his team were special somehow and Rinkotsu was just so...plain.

Rinkotsu was saddened when he was told their would be no third person to their team, hoping to meet someone new still. He realized it wasn't that big a deal because someone else would be joining them soon but still, he wished it would've been then. Finally realizing he had been asked a question, he snapped back to reality.

"Well my name is Rinkotsu Sanachi. Hmm, something about myself....well I have a really sarcastic sense of humor so yeah. I don't really like taking orders but that wont be a problem, I know when I need to. Besides that i'm pretty calm but I can be friendly." Rinkotsu answered. He didn;t really know what else to say so he just waited for Riku to continue talking.

Riku first listened to Masaki giving three facts about himself. The first two were generic answers a most Genin give, but it worked. The third fact was a random thing he threw in at the last second, which made Riku chuckle slightly. "Ok, good, now your turn." Riku continued, nodding over at Rinkotsu. The Genin began speaking, stating his name and once again, three things about himself. The team sensei became interested, as Rinkotsu's personality was actually rather close to Riku's. "Well, as I said, my name's Riku Tensei. I was born here in the Water Country, I am a calm person when you don't cross me, and I have had a weapon grafted to my skin." He finished as the metal tail moved out from behind his right side, coming clearly visible to the Genin.

Riku straightened himself, standing up straight and no longer leaning on the tree. "Well, let's start with a basic excercise, shall we?" Riku pulled out two bells from his pocket, dangling from strings attached to the end of his right sleeve. "Come get 'em. He spoke, not moving at all. He stood in a competely relaxed position, looking as if he weren't ready for the upcoming battle. Though the truth was, he was more than ready. Part of his style was mind games; tricking the opponent. He had planned out the first moves he would take with several back up plans incase the Genin didn't do as he expected, though surely they would.

Introductions were undergone, as were the instructions. A forboding atmosphere grew, especially at the tone and example left by Riku, his menacing metallic tail swinging at his mention. Clearly this guy was not the 'play around' kind of teacher. Something was wrong. Tension flowing from the Chuunin in droves, the air seemed to chill.

"Well, shall we get started?" Riku's voice came cross flat and distant. Shooting a look at Rinkotsu, he plucked up his courage.

"Umm, Sensei? Is anything wrong?" A moment of silence befell, both Genin looking sheepishly at each other before their teacher spoke.

He took a deep breath, his tail falling to the ground, "Earlier today, Kirigakure was attacked. A large portion of the Village is in ruin and there are many trapped in the rubble."

This was enough for Masaki.

"Can we do this later? I can't continue in this kind of situation, I have to do something. Plus my mother..." He broke off, looking down. Rinkotsu looked towards Riku. He let out a dispassionate sigh and nodded.

"Go for now, just...don't put yourself in any trouble. This training must occur."

Masaki nodded in agreement and leapt towards the direction of the village.

Rinkotsu wasn't sure what to think right now, a little confused but trying to grasp what was going on. He finally caught on when Riku mentioned the village being attacked and showed sympathy when Masaki wished to go. He understood well why he would wish to leave rather than train at the moment. He had to make sure his loved ones were okay, something anyone would see as a bigger priority.

"Now that Masaki is gone and the training is going to happen right now, I guess there is no reason for me to be here." Rinkotsu said, not really sure of what he would do now that the training was postponed. He wished to help his village but he didn't know what he could really do that would be of significance. Maybe he would go and try to be useful, but he wasn't sure. All he knew was that he had to do something and right now he decided he would go home, see what may or may not have happened.

Riku smiled slightly and let out a deep breath of air, nodding at the two young Genin. He understood their concern for the safety of their loved ones inside the village. Luckily, or rather unluckily depending on how you looked at it, Riku had no one he was attached to inside of the Village. His parents were both dead, his older brother was missing, and his younger brother was off training somewhere within the Water Country. The only person he would have cared about inside of the Village would be his Genin and the Mizukage. Undoubtedly , the Genin would know not to run straight into imminent danger. They were smarter than that. And obviously, the Mizukage could handle his own.

Looking back towards the village, he sighed and leaned against a tree again. He could have gone back and helped, but he knew everything was under control, as he was in the village earlier and there seemed to be no need of further assistance. Instead, he decided to wait at the meeting spot for his Genin to return. If they took too long, he would venture into the village and rescue them if need be. Thinking about all that was happening, Riku felt much more mature. He was finally a Chuunin, able to hold responsibility. Leading a team of Genin would undoubtedly change Riku. He would become much more mature, understanding, and patient with people. It is true what they say; a little responsibilty does wonders to change a person. He would become a good leader. He wouldn't be too hard on his team, though that didn't mean he would be a light teacher. He had to train the Genin. It was almost as if the Genin's futures were in his hands. Maybe they really were. This made Riku even more determined to do the best job he could. No, to do a better job than he could. To improve himself and not only better the Genin, but better himself. Make himself a better and much stronger person physically, mentally, and emotionally. Riku was finally growing into the man his older brother was. The man he looked up to for so long. This was the start of a new Chapter for Riku. No, this was the begining of a new Riku.

Riku smiled as he allowed himself to slide down the tree until he was sitting on the ground, still leaning against it. His hands propped his head up as he closed them slightly and began to relax. He was finally an adult, or at least he felt like one. Maybe now people would give him the respect he deserved. Maybe now he'd be the man his brother once was. His face calmed and his mind darkened as he remembered his past. He was only 6 when it happened. He was only 13 when it happened, making his younger brother Kuroda 12. His father...Riku would never forget the look on his father's face that night.

He awoke to the sound of a scream. Sitting up in his bed, Riku looked around the room as if to see the source of the noise. Another scream and then a slam at his door. Pulling the blankets to his face, Riku sat, eyes wide in terror, staring at the door. The door slid open and his mother's lifeless and blood covered bpdy fell into the room, followed by his father. His eyes burned with rage, though his face held a large smile, the look of an insane man. His head turned slowly, blood splattered across his face. He looked at Riku with the crazed look and slowly approached him. His older brother, Hikaru jumped into the room and swung his clawed hand down at his father. He then turned to Riku and shouted, "Go! Take Kuroda and get as far from here as possible!" Riku returned with a nod, waking his brother and leaving, Hikaru's screams of pain filling the night air.

Riku awoke with a jolt, his forehead and palms covered with sweat. A man stood above him, staring down. Riku quickly jumped to his feet, sword drawn and ready for battle. "Easy! Easy. I'm just here to deliver a message." The ninja said handing Riku an envelope. He sheathed his sword and took it slowly from the ninja's hand, who bowed and left the area instantly. He opened the envelope and pulled the leader. "Huh, seems like we've got a third Genin finally." He said quietly to himself. Another young shinobi's future was now in Riku's hands. He had to be a great Sensei. Letting these Genin down could possibly ruin their careers as Shinobi and possibly even their lives. Riku couldn't mess up. He needed to be a better person than he ever had before in his life. These Genin's lives would not be ruined by Riku's mistakes.

Riku stretched and yawned. His body was very calm and relaxed, thoug he felt as if he could relax further. He felt as if his body were tense and unprepared. He was becoming nervous. What if he couldn't handle his new position? What if he couldn't do it? Thousands of thoughts sped through his mind. Paranoia caught up with him. He wasn't good with dealing with others in the past. He was never good with being around people at all. He always liked the peace of being alone. He took a deep breath and calmed himself, laying down against the tree and allowing himself to drift off once more.

"Riku, what are we going to do?" Kuroda asked him in a panicked voice that also seemed to hold confidence; confidence that his brother would do the right thing. Riku looked down at his brother and attempted to put on a smile.

"We'll go as far from here as possible. He replied with a reassuring tone. He had no idea where they were going, but he knew they needed to leave the village. "We're far enough for the moment. We can sleep up in this tree and continue our journey tomorrow." He added, patting his brother on the head and leaning against the tree, sitting atop a wide branch. He leaned back and let himself fall asleep. Awakening in the morning, he sat up and grabbed a Kunai as if preparing for something to happen. "Come on Kuroda, It's time for us to-" His sentence was cut short as he looked to his side, seeing the empty blankets where his brother should have been asleep.

Waking with another violent shudder, Riku had to rub the palms of his hands on his pants, as the were drenched with sweat. Why was he all of a sudden having dreams about his younger brother? Was it a sign? Would he see him again? The past Mizukage had allowed his brother to once again become a member of the village, but Riku hadn't seen him since then. Perhaps it was a sign. Riku was never the type to start believing in dreams holding actual meaning, though he couldn't shake the feeling that his dream had meant something. He stood up and leaned one shoulder against the tree, looking around at the forest around him. He had a feeling that the new Genin to his team would be returning soon, so he needed to be prepared. It would be a horrible first impression if the Genin walked in on his Sensei napping in the middle of the forest, let alone having a nightmare.
