Name: Haldur Thalion
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Physical description: Haldur stands at 5'7". He is slim and muscular, weighing in at around 150 pounds. His hair is a fairly plain dark brown color, cut short, and always curly. He is built for speed more than strength. Haldur's irises are mainly green with hints of brown and yellow in the middle, and hints of blue around the edges. He wears his forehead portector around his forehead.
Rank: Chuunin (no kage to upgrade him, but he has jounin level strength)
Village: Born and raised in Mist, but his parents were originally from another village.
Element: Water
Favored weapon: Two ninjato, acquired 'Sword of Chaos' (Takuya's sword) and 'Fuhenmizu no Ken' (Kentachi's sword)
Equipment: Haldur wears simple dark clothing most of the time, and the standard Kiri uniform while on duty. He usually carries his two ninjato, one on each hip, and sometimes carries one of the larger swords strapped to his back. Around his waist he carries multiple canteens on a belt. These are filled with water so he always has a supply to work with. He has finished developing his new flash bomb which is used to blind/stun the opponent. It has finished testing and is fully combat ready.

Background:
As people know it: Haldur is born of foreign parents who had taken up residence in the village of Mist. They don’t like talking about where they lived before the moved to Mist, and most people don’t bring it up twice. His father was a highly ranked ninja specializing in espionage and was fiercely loyal to the village. He disappeared on a mission while Haldur was still young. Haldur was raised mostly only by his mother, as he had no other relatives around. Haldur has worked hard in the academy. He is persistent and persevering in his training. He spends days trying to find new ways to use old techniques and complete his mastery over them before moving on to new techniques. He has also trained for an extended period of time with a traveling Hapkido master. The master was wandering through the area, teaching willing students. He found Haldur to be especially enthusiastic, and stayed longer than usual in order to train him. He does not seem special in any way. No hidden bloodline or secret powers have revealed themselves.
Recently, Haldur has been having bursts of extreme speed, followed by losing all his strength or blacking out. So far they have discovered no reason for this. Under the tutelage of his new teacher, he has given up his wrist knives in favor of swords, and uses much more offensive ninjutsu. He has also focused on building strength along with speed, making him a feared taijutsu opponent. He trains almost constantly, either on his own or with his team. His new strength and offensive prowess have made him lose a bit of his Hapkido skill and use more of his taijutsu training.
The truth: Haldur is not in fact the son of the people claiming to be his parents. His parents were sent by a band of outlaws to act as spies in the village of Mist. They found a family who looked enough like them with a small child. They killed them and took the child to use in their disguise. The Haldur’s true parents come from a long line of shroud ninjas, but Haldur’s grandfather was disgraced and cast out, though not killed due to his loyalty to the village. They lived in poverty, working on a farm fairly far away from the village. Haldur’s fake father did not actually die on a mission, but betrayed his entire team, and returned as planned to the outlaws. His fake mother stays on in Mist, continuing to gather information. Haldur is completely unaware of these facts, and to his fake mother’s knowledge, no one else in the village is aware of her either.

A metsubishi, loosly translated as eye-closer, is something that is used to blind the opponent. Usually tubes with pellets inside that explode on impact, releasing a blinding powder, or tubes that are coated on the inside with powder so that they blow it directly out. Haldur's metsubishi are usually filled with a capsiacin powder which would have effects like pepper spray. There can be more damaging powders, such as a mixture of wasabi powder and iron filings. The person gets it in their eyes and rubs, grinding the iron into their eyes etc.
