Slevin had just recovered from his somewhat strenuous rank training now well rested and ready to go for this. He had already been briefed on the details of the mission it was B-Rank (His first!) he was in tasked with protecting several caravans filled with goods traveling out from here a few missing ninja had been making it hell for them to do this so he and his partner of late, Masakado have been placed to do so. He was on his way onto the caravans now seeing it in the distance with no one around, seeing as they were still in a safe zone. Slevin coughed finally making it to there shortly after taking off his blazer and afterward removing his bandages before putting his armor on and then his blazer. Seeing several people nod at him and give him the basic details of this mission protect the caravans as they went along, that being all really.

Masakado had arrived ten minutes prior to Slevin and was standing talking to a man with bleach blond hair and an eye patch covering his left eye. In general, the man was young with bronze skin and a distinguishing jacket with a symbol Masakado knew to well and a pair of shoes that Masakado helped make.

“Well, aren’t you a eye for sore eyes.” Masakado asked grinning at the man extending his arms out for a hug.

The man squinted getting a good view of him and exclaimed, “Masakado is that you?!”

“Is there anyone else you know that looks like me?” Masakado replied.

“Well, you are an odd looking fellow!” He embraced him and grinned. “They told me we’d be protected by some shinobi, but if I knew that you’d been the one doing it, I would have asked your mother for an extra glass of brandy.”

“I’ve gotten pretty good, Kazuki-san! But I didn’t know you talked with my mother.” Masakado said.

“Yes, how would you. You don’t come home any more, or so your mother says.” Kazuki said smiling.

“I’ve been… busy lately.” Masakado said looking down. He had been it seemed like he’d been on mission after mission pushing himself hard lately to prove himself.

“Well make sure you go home every so often. You know your mother likes company.” Kazuki laughed placing an arm around his god son. “You’re getting so big I feel old now.”

“Ha, you were old the day you popped out Kaeda- chan!” Masakado laughed looking over spotting Slevin. “Oh, my partner’s here. I have to go. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Well you? Well you now?” Kazuki repeated shaking his hand and climbing onto his wagon and started his inventory.

“Hey Slevin!” He waved and approached him. “Man this caravan is big.” He referred to twelve wagons that made up the caravan. “We sure have a tough road ahead of us. But hey, it’s such a small world. I ran into my god-father – he is a merchant that sells antique weapons and has hair that is like a mixture of white and yellow. Meh, but yeah, this is going to be awesome.”

OOC: Fine by me.

Slevin looked at the large caravan, it bloody well certainly a "large" caravan. Slevin looked at his current partner wondering when they were going to get this mission over with saying, "Hey, nice day to be out." he was being sarcastic of course it was near freezing. He blew his breath into both of his clasped hands then looking at the caravan hoping something was going to happen, and he was going to have some fun after his recent training. Slevin began to say, "Your god-father, truly is a small world." staring into the sky finishing with an exctied, "Hey, you seen me new sword!?" with an intentional butchering of his grammar. Afterward brandishing a Wakizashi with a gray mesh handle and a black flower petaled sheath. Drawing the blade which somewhat shined from never being used.

Naturally, Masakado had adjusted to the cold climate and half heartily joked, "If you can't take the cold, than you better get moving." Masakado's parents were known for their hikes into the mountains. Masakdo learned from his father that this way was the best way to test out his shoes and get him out and about. Therefore, Masakado wasn't a stranger to the cold and he felt like it could have been a little cooler.

After deciding not to tell Slevin that he'd been through worse, Slevin whipped out a Wakizashi. Almost like a child looking at a new toy, Masakado eyed it with a fascination. A sense of envy fell over him and as quickly as it came it washed away. He inspected it asking to hold it simply to see if it was weighted properly. It bore a sharp blade both clean and deadly. Its sheathing was like a casing to a birthday present making Masakado slightly wish he'd had an upgrade in the occasion as well.

"Its a pretty one, right there! A pretty one, yes indeed." Masakado replied

Slevin looked around, 'Sure as hell going to be an interesting mission' he thought to himself sheathing his sword and placing it back under his coat onto his back staring at the massive caravan wondering what all was going to happen hoping to test his skills against a higher ranking ninja today maybe get beat down, everything seemed good to him then adrenaline poured through him which he had no idea why. Slevin coughed replying with, "Thank you I think it's brilliant, unfortunately I had to go see my parents for this." Slevin laughed at his little joke he loved both of his parents very much however they were a bit annoying at times. Slevin walked over toward the caravans once again ready to 'get this show on the road.'

Masakado didn't really find the humor in Slevin's joke, but maybe it was because he didn't know enough of Slevin to actually tell. With a grin, he stretched out his back and walked on the other side of the caravan. His eyes inspected each wagon that was apart of it of this mission and found they were all sturdy and could take a bit of amusement. How fast they could go would depend on the oxen driving them, but each looked fit to carry its weight in the caravan. Making it up to the end, or should we say the beginning of the caravan, Masakado found an old man lighting a pipe. He wore linens wrapped in wool, which was not normal to see. He wore his hair beneath a wrap and let his mustache grow into falling mane. Yet, he did possess a warm face that Masakado could easily speak to with out feeling threatened.

"Fine day to start a tour through the mountains." Masakado sarcastically joked thinking about the slippery areas that were bound to come, but the air would be clearer and they could travel further than normal.

"These trips are all starting meld in my mind, young one." The man confessed," The weather doesn't look to be getting worse, so we might make it before any complications occur."

"We starting any time soon?" Masakado asked.

"As soon as I light this damn thing." The man replied trying to spark the ingrediants in his pipe.

"The best I could do is put it out." Masakado said laughing.

"Well, step away from flame than... I think I got it." He took two breaths, while lighting the pipe and it caught flame. He smiled taking two more breaths and releasing the smoke from his nostrols. "Now that feels good.. It makes me want to start. Though, by any chance are you one of the shinobi assigned to this caravan?"

Masakado nodded and man grinned.

"Just make sure you can keep up to us, the party is about to begin." He said starting to walk to his wagon. Masakado nodded looking for Slevin and found him.

"We are about to leave, are you clear on what were doing? I'll take the back, you can take the front. We can both get some out of this if you do it right." He smiled wondering how his mind had jumped into the gutter.

Slevin laughed at the little joke Masakado had just said walking up to the front seeing several people sitting around them looking around as he got to the front seeing several oxen that appeared to be in good enough condition. The caravan started immediately, Slevin had already had his talking spurt out of the way time to get somewhat serious rubbing his hands together. Then walking slowly as teh caravan started off seeing an older gentleman smoking what he assumed to be herbal stimulants seeing as tobacco was very rare here. He held the sheath of his sword as he walked it clacked as he did. Slevin wondered what was going to happen during this period of time thinking he was going to have to fight some higher ranking ninja. Slevin mused at the thought as he heard a "Boom" of Lightning which was quite common and rarely meant storms but none the less. The sky a dark blue color filled with clouds that seemed to shift each time he moved. Slevin looked back at the caravan, nothing wrong so far.

Everything was normal, or as normal as Masakado could describe it. The caravan was moving at a fairly brisk speed and he'd conned his way into riding onto of wagon near the back. So, he stood watching Slevin's back and his surrounds, which had changed. As an hour and a half passed, they were scaling a fairly large mountain that had a bridge they needed to cross. It was an important gateway that they could cross fairly quickly. But it was a crossing that made Masakado quesy. They could have went another way, but it would have added three more hours to their trip. It was a tad safer, but Masakado and Slevin was here.

Slevin looked at the small bridge they were going to have to cross luckily he had no fears of heights yelling out, "If anyone tries to attack we could just push 'em off." Slevin laughed at his little morbid joke looking back at Masakado seeing he looked as if he was going to be sick Slevin laughed a tad bit more as they began to pass the small bridge. Slevin had to get onto the front wagon to pass with it seeing as it was too tight a passage if he stood off. He looked around seeing and hearing a bolt of lightning sensing something was coming soon hoping that it wouldn't but hopes don't always help with these things. He looked around seeing that it was starting to drizzle. Slevin pulled out his blade looking quite uneasy at his current feeling.
