Tai looked at the mist. He knew that Loki was following him. Ti was almost afraid to have Loki with him. It wasn't hat Tai was afraid of Loki, it was that Tai was afraid that he might accidently do something to Loki. Even now... his mind was clouded with what he had done during his 'absence'. Everything seemed different and he didn't know what to make of what he had done. If nothing else he felt stronger and different. The memories that filled his head were painful and blood. In them, he showed no remorse for the people he slaughtered. As he thought of it, his mind drudged up more memories....

(Flashback)

The door opened and shurican flew. They found thier mark blocked by a spinning scythe. More were thrown but, it was just as useless. None were getting even remotely close. Tai could see the fear upon their face and he could also feel pain even though he hadn't been hit. It felt as if his body was killing itself off. Yet it didn't stop him. In a flash, he was past him. He looked back to see a man turn around, his throat slit open from the scythe. His blood squirted everywhere as he fell to the floor. The other shinobi gaurds had done the same thing. Tai had killed them. Every single one of them.

Loki looked at Tai as they walked slowly back to wherever it was that he came from. He knew that sooner or later, he and Tai would talk about exactly what it was that Tai had intended for him. Feeling left out of the loop, he walked up to Tai and looked at him. He tried to smile but it didn't seem to work much. He was lost in his thoughts, Loki believed. Not knowing how to respond, he held Tai's hand and walked with him. He looked like a pet following his master. But in truth, that's what he was. "Tai." He spoke softly. "What are we going to do soon?"

Tai snapped out of it as Loki spoke to him. He wasn't sure of where the memory had came from but, he did know that it scared him badly. Is it real? Did I really do that? Loki.... I need to... prepare him..... Tai looked at Loki. "Loki... I need to make you ready. Prepare yourself!" Tai however, did not grab his scythe but, instead he grabbed his special tegaki. "Do not hold back. We are going to spar..... be ready.... I want you to strike first!" Tai smiled as he waited for Loki to come at him. He was sure that it was going to be interesting.

Loki looked at Tai for a moment as if he were joking but then he realized all too soon that he wasn't and then jumped back and slid to a stop. He looked at Tai wondering why he wanted him to fight but there was not enough time to think up a reason. He would simply have to test his mettle if he was gonna accomplish anything with his new master. And the last thing he wanted was for his new master to abandon him. His tail went into his pocket and grabbed a small kunai and then he took his chain in his hands.

"Kirigakure no Jutsu!" He said as a thick mist began to fill the area and then he disappeared into the thick mist and closed his eyes. "If he moves I'll be able to hear him move. But if he finds me, it's all over." He said as he focused on listening. His tail curled a bit and then threw the Kunai where Tai was last standing. If he was there, the secret Kunai would hit.

Tai watched as Loki covered himself in the mist. It was a trick he himslef had once used many time and Tai had come up with a way to give himself a distinct advantage. As he did the jutsu, a kunai flew out from the mist and almost struck him. He had barely blocked it while doing handsigns. He had actually completed it when the kunai had hit his tegaki. It was very lucky block for him because he wouldn't have saw it in the mist. With the jutsu complete, Tai ran to his left laughing. " Well, well..... lets see how you deal with this..." Tai knew that with this situation, Loki wouldn't be able to see nor pinpoint his location.

Loki stood there as he heard a clank. The noise made his ear twitch softly and he looked off to the north as he pinpointed the noise with his ears. But before he did, Tai's voice began resonating all over the entire area and his eyes opened wide. The loud booming confusion that was the jutsu he was hearing made him fall to his knees as he cringed hard. His ears felt as if they were going to explode. He tried to regain his senses but he knew he wouldn't unless he found a way to break out of the sound's area of effect. He covered his ears with his hand and then stood up. He then walked slowly forward as his tail began to grab a kunai from his pocket.

"Normally, a jutsu like that may sound like it's coming from all over the place but there is a way to pinpoint where it is exactly. So long as I can lessen the noise entering my ears, I can use the muffled noises to try to eliminate where it's not. I know it's not behind me because he wouldn't use the jutsu from behind. He would have just struck me from behind. But since he didn't he's still somewhere in front of me." He said as his tail launched his kunai forward and wait till he heard a specific ting noise. He released his hands as the footsteps resonated. When he heard the slight ting despite the noise level, he quickly ran towards is and then kept his eyes down.

He passed over the Kunai and slid to a stop. His tail picked both Kunais and then he smiled a moment. He knew in order to make this fight a fairer one, he would have to be direct in combat. His tail took one Kunain and he took one in his hands and launched them both in opposite directions from left to right. While he did, he threw his chain around in the mist till he could hit a tree. When he finally did, he climbed up the tree and hung from his tail. He would goad Tai to him by making noise.

Tai heard a kunai thrown in the distance but, he wasn't worried. His small sound trick was only the first of what he palnned to do. It didn't even really matter if he was found or not. The point was to cause Loki to think ouside the usual box. Tai knew that he could only be defeated by unusual means and he wanted Loki to fiure it out. Tai decided to increase his little challenge. He put his hands together and did a few handseals. Suddenly, there was three of him standing with him. Each of them ran in a different direction when they heard a noise. Tai smiled as he and his clones surrounded the noise but, didn't move in. Tai knew that if he spoke, the sound jutsu would not just cover his sounds but, the sounds of his clones as well. It could prove to be disastorus for whoever was caught in the jutsu. Tai spoke in a very low whisper. "I win..."
