Immediately after catching the attention of his foe, Tori realized that his opponent was caught within his illusions. Not only was the first applied to him through audio means as the Uchiha intended, but the second was applied to Ste by visual eye contact. His strategy had worked to success, and he found out a new thing about Ste. He had no thought that Ste knew Kai to dismantle his weaker genjutsu, but something should have hit him to realize that if Ste was using as much Taijutsu as he did, then he must have known the weakness to his style and knew that he had to neutralize his weakness a little. Too bad his studies were probably incomplete, because even though he had knowledge of genjutsu and how to break some of them efficiently, the more powerful ones seemed to take a different affect on him. Fortunately, he was quick on his jutsu he decided to pursue at the moment. While Tori focused all of his attention on utilizing his techniques, he would finally be placed into an open position without any defenses set-up to counter the incoming attack.

While making one of his techniques come true through his Sharingan, the Uchiha would prove to be a little inexperienced with its uses as he was unable to spot the immediate reaction by Ste as he channeled his chakra to use a technique that both of them had already witnessed before. Tori saw his movements as a simple strike coming for him again, but because he was busy initializing his technique through hypnosis, he found his copy and decrypt abilities of his eyes a little on the edge to not give him the thoughts needed to tell him that he knew of the technique. Because of the minor fault in Tori’s actions, a gust of wind was placed forward before him like a part of the wall was falling and he was under it. The winds of Repuushuu pressed onto his body and he was gone on a trip as Ste had to deal with his second illusion of Shattering Reflections.

Like he was hit off the wall by a fly swatter, Tori’s entire body flew outwards like he was lying on the ground as soon as the first contact hit him. This was when he realized what the technique was and began to be thankful for its basis because it did not mean he was out of the competition if he could manage a good landing. He did not know where to start feeling the pressure’s pain among his body as his whole frontal part was smashed head on from the technique. Since they were pretty high on the wall at about forty feet, the wind guided him down for fifteen feet since nothing was present to stop his dwindle. As the technique finally faded away, Tori was able to spin his body so that he could see where he was going at his fast and rapid pace. He thrust his upper body forward to make himself spin and get closer to the wall at about fifteen feet of the way down. At that point he reestablished grip to his feet to the wall, but at the speed of his drop, he knew it was impossible to avoid a smash to the floor of the arena.

Although it was impossible to avoid the smash, it did not mean that it was inevitable to hit the ground extremely hard. It was time to use his Kinobori as a form of brakes or stopped to make his speed decline before hitting the sand. He directed his eyes to keep his pace, and he also directed them to see that no moving sand pits were in the area of which he wanted to hit. Placing his steps very close together to get as much friction to stop as possible, Tori made his way down while gripping the surface rapidly to slow his speed. After getting in to that last moment of five feet, his body turned into a dagger towards the sand. His hands went before him grasped together like the tip of a knife and his feet went backwards and closed to make his body as skinny as possible as he shot into the sands while splitting it, but not completely avoiding the fall. A dust cloud would be created from their, but it would just move with the winds of the sandstorm to look seemingly unnoticeable.

After a minute of being placed into the sand, Tori popped up blowing sand from his mouth and shaking the grains from his body. He was now covered in the colors of the terrain and feeling the damage he had received. Breathing hard was unavoidable now from the rush, but he could continue. He had no idea that being that high would place such a strain on his body when it came to coming back down, but he knew that his genjutsu could not have been destroyed that fast. It was another reason for him to get back up to Ste and continue enjoying the fight of his life. He rubbed his thumb acros his mouth, but it was not a simple movement to look slick. His finger swiped across his sharpest tooth and blood was present as the boy snickered into a mumble, “Time for something new Ste.” He then ran from the sand and once meeting the wall he placed his hand down while initializing his summoning technique to not summon a single but a twin set of Ocelot before him, but after the shroud was perceived, they did not come directly out.

No the Ocelot were predators and they knew of how to handle business when they were summoned. The two cats stayed below the surface of the structure using Moguragakure no Jutsu as they were to attack when they found something to attack by their master. Tori then began a stride up the wall heading for Ste at an incredible speed using his Shunshin. He knew he would leave behind his Ocelot, but he knew that they could find his scent. Lucky for him, he made it back in time just enough to see his last obstruction to Ste get finished off as he rushed in at the boy weaponless. Ste did the same thing as it was his style that he liked to play. Hand to hand was his “pleasure” so to speak. That was what Tori observed. It probably only came second to one thing, that pressurized ninjutsu that utilized wind. It was annoying when he did not see it coming, but he gave Ste props on a job well down.

The boys quickly came to close quarters and they started their cat and mouse chase all the way back over. Ste immediately made the first move and the clash began once more. Two punches from the same hand came quickly and Tori blocked them accordingly with his left hand repeatedly. Then the combination changed to lower points of the body and as the left and right came from Ste, Tori right and left to block the strikes intended for his body, but that fall was starting to go for the worst on Tori and he was starting to question how much longer he could endure, “No, I have to go on. I need to push myself!” His doubt was immediately neglected as his families blood began to boil and his reserved endurance began to kick for him to make this bout longer.

The next strike came for Tori, but it was not from punches, it was a strike to his legs, specifically a low area about the ankles or shin. He jumped straight up, but because of their dynamics, he really jumped out and gravity went into play to pull him down slightly away from the hit as he pushed his legs down faster than normal to keep from drifting off somewhere. Because of his movement, the follow-up kick was a missed as well as Ste moved so fast that picking another strike to his kick would have been probably too much of a delay. After the second missed kick, the boy heard the straining of an outburst of seemingly motivation. He struck for the face with yet another kick and from their, Tori could see that he did not differ much from his other strikes as he went back down low with his next move, but following it came a chakra filled thrust that worried Tori. He deciphered the actions precisely and he yelled out, “NOW!!!” for his beasts that he just knew had found his location.

From their, Ste moved his hand up to strike Tori directly in the chin, but it was not the real Tori. His attack was forsaw and the Uchiha boy seen his opportunity to make his quick getaway through a kawarimi to a higher part of the wall by replacing himself with a chunk of rock to take the damage of the attack, but as the attack came into place, so did the two Ocelot of Tori’s pact. They shot from the ground viciously with arms present. Their senbon (claws) was seen fully unsheathed from under their paws and ready to strike onto Ste with from both his left and right. The primary intentions of them were to just pin him in place by impaling him with their claws an teeth, but if it proved difficult, the two would also fight him with slashings and stabs.

Sté didn't realize that Tori had been hit with his wind attack until after he fought off the clones from the mirrors. Just as I thought, his reaction time is slower when hes in the middle of casting genjutsu. As Tori avoided and blocked his attacks, something else became obvious to him, something that he hadn't thought of before. He hasn't thrown a single punch yet. He avoids and evades, using his eyes and then casts genjutsu or shots arrows or fire. His taijutsu abilities must not be that great. That last genjutsu technique was strong, maybe a little too strong. I need to be more careful and I need to continue exploiting his weakness. From what I know, he is able to see my attacks before they hit. What if I attacked from behind? No, that wont work, I did that last time and he was able to avoid being hit but, maybe that's because I threw shuriken at him, maybe that was easier to detect. Sté narrowed his eyes in suspicion. More then likely, if he can't see me then maybe he cant predict my movements. Yes that just might work. Other then that, If I begin to detect any sort of distortion of reality due to genjutsu, Ill be sure to attack head on while that's happening. Before Sté made his strike with the rising palm, he heard Tori scream: "NOW!" Sté gave an angry look as Tori poofed into nothing more then a rock from the battle field. Kawarimi, why would he have to use that if he can see my attacks before they happen?

That was the first time Sté heard Tori's voice and that would probably be the biggest thing that threw him off guard. But there was something else that needed his attention. Two large, orange cats with scary looking claws coming at him fast. Sté bent his knees down and gathered chakra into his hands. Although he wasn't expecting a summoning jutsu, at this point and time of the battle, he was damn near ready for anything. Whether Tori realized this or not, Sté was also adept at hand to hand combat with more then foe coming from all angles. Just as soon as the cats got close enough, Sté leaped into the air while spinning, with his hands held out slightly. Sté's chakra in his hands thinned out and became razor sharp, rivaling that of his feline foe's claws. He was hoping to get a slash or two onto at least one of the cats faces. For a moment like this that requires quick thinking, Sté knew that just like Tori, evading would be the best thing to do however, Sté adapted to the situation without panic and evaded while simultaneously giving out an attack of his own, in a fancy manner. Because his hands were held out, he did feel a slight scratch go across his arm but, it wasn't anything that Sté couldn't heal up quickly when he got the time. Since Sté had jumped off of the wall, gravity would get the best of him and he would fall towards the sand while spinning and turning, almost as if he was synchronized diving but, he would land on his feet instead of his head. He landed with his head held down and his arms extended outwards. Although it seemed like he landed gently, a large amount of sand would fly into the air from his left and right side. With the amount of chakra control Sté had, landing from high distances, unscathed was easy, even if it wasn't on his feet.

He looked up and gathered chakra into his feet, he needed to act quickly before the cats reached him again (assuming that his previous attack didn't do anything). Sté placed his right foot onto the wall and leaped off of his left foot in order to start running up it. As he quickly ran up the wall, he began to build up chakra within his entire body. He would set his focus onto one of the cats and charge for it. While running, he reached into his inventory pouch and pulled out two smoke bombs. As soon as he got close enough to the cat he was aiming for (while making sure that the other one didn't catch him in time) he ShunShined and appeared further up the wall, running for Tori this time instead. Keeping his eye on more then one opponent was easy for him but he knew better then to take his focus off of Tori. Before he reached Tori, he leaped into the air slightly and threw one of the smoke bombs in front of where Tori was standing, as he landed back on the wall, he threw the other one at him. Using ShunShin again, he appeared on Tori's left. HouShou! He reached back and gave a powerful palm thrust towards his face.

If that attack would happen to miss and Tori managed to either block and evade this attack, Sté would be sure to stay close and follow him head on. While following him, he would tightened the muscles in his upper body area and ram his head right for Tori's face. He was trying to mix things up as much as possible and keep Tori on his toes. Sté wanted to make sure that his fighting spirit and creativity was something that not even the Sharigan could see through, regardless of how brute it may seem.

From an eager and enthusiastic shout from his mouth, it could easily be determined that Tori was not bored in this fight and he was pulling out all of the strings. He would usually not speak in a fight until it was over. He had none of those sob stories under his belt where he had to try and communicate with a person during a fight while punching them to the ground and standing over them like he was their father. He had no reason to act in such a way that made him look responsible or caring because from his way of growing up, he was now left alone aside from a few people that he barely knew. Then with those people he did not feel like he knew them enough to make life altering decisions on what they wanted to do, but being the cool nonchalant person that he was, that was not going to stop him from being the judge at a pivotal spot in their life when he had the occurrence to protect something that he really cared for. That was what he fought in the exams for.

From that spot he moved to safer ground above everything else to watch the battle continue to unfold before them all. His two Ocelots finally made it to the party and managed to rip through the ground ready to pounce on the unsuspecting Ste. From the rocky walls of the arena they arose with pure killer’s intent to strike down Ste within the competition. The claws on the combined eight paws of the two beast were a terrifying set to lay eyes upon as they not only looked to be extremely sharp, but they were also on the verge of showing that they were not just a fancy set of well manicured nails created from a relaxing day in neko land. Both of the animals immediately protruded their tools of death towards Ste’s body to only have him use another acrobatic technique to attempt a shot at gaining the upper hand over the trio. With a snappy jump and spin with a chakra created blade, the boy managed to take on a scratch, but also deliver a scratch. It was not in a critical spot, but Ste was probably not one to get cocky.

As Ste did his fancy highlighted moves to evade and strike, so did the two Ocelot neko that were raised by the best at being able to manipulate themselves in midair and strike at different angles. As Ste turned and made his body go in different directions, so did the felines. Unfortunately one was hit on his front left leg at around the shin area right before the paw. It would affect its movement tremendously and it was probably bound to be preyed upon. The injury sustained was unlike anything Tori had ever witnessed. He had heard of making chakra blades that actually resembled blades, but when Ste performed his style it was like his hand only took on an aura and cut from straight contact of what looked to be straight blunt force. He made sure to not forget the chakra sequence that was used. He also assured himself that he would have to stay away from the boy’s hands at all cost, because if he was able to turn that jutsu of hi on and off at will, then he could damage him quite the bit in an instant.

After the attack, Ste dived down to the sand once more. Tori clapped his hands in correspondence to that to get attention of his two Ocelots. He would be sure to provide his weaker ocelot the least amount of trials. He stared into the eyes of the first fully healed Ocelot and raised his right hand forward to signal it to pursue the target. He then looked upon the injured feline and squatted quickly to the wall and patted it before the two creatures knew exactly what he wanted and moved to make their partners desires be fulfilled. The first ocelot simply turned his body among the wall while sending his claws through the rock like he did it all the time, while the other jumped into the whole that it came from and headed underground to Tori. As the ocelot that was not injured made his way to Ste above the surface, Tori just waited because he knew that sooner rather than later, he would seek him out. He always did. He was one of those assertive types. He just had to place himself out in the open; it was his addiction to be recognized. Even if he did not want to be perceived that way, it was being seen first hand here. He followed his fighting style and he wanted it badly to not have Tori at a range away from him that he would be able to take advantage on the styles that he presented earlier which were the use of arrows and genjutsu. Tori pulled out a single kunai and placed both of his hands behind his back and waited for things to continue in the storybook.

The ocelot enclosed the ground between the two of them with little ease. Just as Ste was prepared to come back up the wall he would see the furry pet ready to ounce. From afar, Tori could not see completely what Ste had prepared for his pet with the swirling winds of sand being so distracting and the items size being so small. The Ocelot got a little too close and Tori just knew the feline was about to be done for and reverted back to his world after Ste’s arm moved forward, but at that time he realized that all was not lost for his pet as the thrust was followed by a cloud of shrouding smoke placed over the two combatants as once again Tori seen a increase in speed and familiar chakra disturbance come from Ste and knew he was in his shunshin mode again. He just waited for the boy to make the match close quarters again while being unsuspecting of the many things that Tori could do. He got in close to the boy and acted like he was not learning nothing from the match as it went on. It was almost like he was running out of options and flailing himself around. Tori hoped that was not the case and he was just probably using what he had to try and overcome the massive obstacle before him. Because of the Sharingan, Tori had a major advantage over him and being hit with anything critical from Ste was highly unlikely unless he attacked from multiple angles with actual physical bodies. Otherwise the only thing that would happen was what was going to happen as he released his second smoke bomb before Tori.

Not only did Ste release one bomb onto the boy, he threw two. Then he came at what would have usually been a high speed, but it only proved to be as slow as regular movement as Tori had it deciphered down to the core with his ability to react to the movement. As Ste moved through his shunshin to get to Tori’s right side and immediately attack, Tori used his eyes and knowledge of the shunshin to cleverly evade the attack and move slightly over so that the only thing that Ste would hit would be thin air as he would position himself behind the boy ready to pounce like his cats. Along with the thrust of his attack, the ocelot that he injured from earlier would strike from the wall and emerge into sight while attacking his mouth to the lower left shin of Ste for a grip similar to a dog or as strong as an ocelot could possibly get. While the Ocelot made his move, Tori would maneuver his body to place the kunai he grabbed earlier and place it to the boy’s neck or close to his neck in a position to see if he would surrender and give in to what had just happened, or if he would try another move to get over on the Uchiha. Perhaps he had something more powerful than an ace, a deuce. for Tori, he expecting something spectactular and aimed towards his face. With aim to his face, he prepared a trap to use another disabling genjutsu on the guy if he unfortunately saw the boy's eyes.

Sté was happy that he was able to at least injure one of the Ocelots but he wasn't sure if it was enough. As he made his way back up the wall, he saw that one of the cats disappeared into the wall some how. This served as a red flag that that Ocelot would probably be used as a last minute attack. Tori had did a good job at keeping Sté at a distance and this fact was slightly annoying to Sté. Although Sté possessed a great amount of endurance, he knew that it would only be a matter of time before his chakra would give up on him. He chose not to think about that though, he had to reach Tori and unleash everything before Tori made his move. Sté wasn't sure if the smoke bombs would serve as a good enough diversion in order for him to strike without Tori knowing where he was coming from but he had to try. As he made his way next to Tori and gave his palm thrust, he narrowed his eyes in anger as that attack along with the next one, missed. He became clearer to him that his methods were futile. He was being too direct, even if there was a slight diversion with the smoke bombs. Tori managed to yet again, dodge and evade. He's too good, I cant find an opening, unless. An idea went through his head and the timing couldn't have been better.

Sté's eyes widened in surprise slightly, as the Ocelot that was hidden, revealed itself and lunged for his leg, in the same manner like a dog would. This was probably the opportunity he was waiting for. He tried to retreat and leap back but the Ocelot was too fast, too fierce; Sté would have to adopt the feral traits of Tori's pets in order to survive this round. He channeled chakra into his right and left hand and reached down. As the Ocelot bit into Sté's leg, he winced in pain a bit but, nothing came from his mouth. He had welcomed the pain and was prepared for a counter strike. He reached down with both hands next to the Ocelot's neck and threw them outwards, trying to tear its throat open with his chakra blades. Whether this would take the Ocelot out of commission or not didn't matter to Sté. Because of the amount of pain that he had to endure in order to focus and strike back, his demeanor had changed. This was actually something that he was hoping wouldn't happen. He didn't want to become angered, he didn't to become desperate. Before he knew it, Tori was making his way to him with a kunai to his neck. Mistake. Sté quickly reached up with left hand and grabbed for the wrist that was connected to the hand that Tori was holding the kunai in. If he managed to grab him, he would use all his strength and reach back with his right hand while yanking Tori towards him and deliver a punch to his face.

Unfortunately, Sté had to turn his body to face Tori and when he did, he glanced into his eyes slightly. Even though Sté was able to attack after he had glanced into Tori's eyes, he was still placed under the genjutsu. Immediately, Sté felt his body become heavy as large stakes would pierce through different parts of his body. He gasped to himself in pain and fell to his knees. Sté couldn't believe what was happening to him. He tried to get a grip on his chakra in order to dispel the technique but this jutsu was to powerful. His vision was beginning to blur and leave him but he held on. If this is only genjutsu then why am I in so much pain? Sté would then remember something. Pain. Sté closed his eyes and stopped panicking as he thought about the genjutsu technique he was placed under by an enemy shinobi not too long ago. That specific genjutsu dug down into his inner most thoughts and forced him to witness the mutilation of his mother. He chuckled and smiled. This, this genjutsu is nothing compared to that. Tori's genjutsu plays off of pain alone. Its not enough!

Sté opened his eyes and balled both hands into a fist. Grinding his teeth together, he began to move his arms above his head. My strength hasn't left me! Sté could then feel a small amount of chakra empower his fists. With all of his might, he inhaled deeply and slammed his fists down into the wall, kicking up a large amount of rubble into the air; he would then let out an angry scream at the top of his lungs for about five seconds, trying to break himself back into reality. If I can tap into my chakra reserves just a little bit, maybe I can... Sté struggled as he reached up with his hands and placed them on the sides of his head. He tightly closed his eyes and began to focus chakra into his hands. Come on damn it, I can do this. Sté's hands began to glow dimly. Is it my chakra that will free me or is it willpower, or both? Sté opened his eyes and gave a mean frown. Hmph, he doesn't know who's hes dealing with. I'll....I'll tear this entire arena apart with my bare fists! Sté inhaled and gave another yell; a yell that started off small and grew in volume, for about ten seconds.

Closing his eyes and falling down to his face, he rested for a second and opened his eyes. He felt the pain throughout his body leave him, reality was returning. Hes too powerful, after all that, I don't think my body can go on. But I have to. Sté looked at Tori and then smirked a bit. "Uchiha." Sté shook his head at Tori while getting up to his feet. "My mind, has been through more then you'd think." Yes he was able to endure mental and physical pain at its worst but being placed under a Genjutsu of this magnitude made him sick to his stomach. Without warning, Sté lunged forward and punched for Tori once more. Whether or not he missed, he would fall back to his knees Its no good, my body has had it. Sté straightened his posture and inhaled calmly. If I go down, then it wont be without a fight. An apathetic look made its way across Sté's face, he had finally regained his focus (or so he thought). Something else had worried Sté though. He felt the wind begin to pick up, he was falling. My chakra, is it gone? Sté frowned and flipped himself over. He would then place his feet onto the wall and slide down it for about five seconds. He still had chakra but his focus was all off.

He reached down and looked at his leg that the Ocelot attacked. He reached down with his right hand and channeled chakra into it, healing it up so that it would stop bleeding. He sighed to himself and looked up towards Tori. What else is there for me to do? Giving up isn't an option.

As Ste fell, the same proctor from the beginning of the fight appeared and caught the young boy in his arms, then landing safely on the ground. The fight is over, we will announce the results at a later time. For now, you are to head to the exams waiting area.
