I make the hand signs again knowing that I can do this and that I will beat him. “The hand if quicker then the eye” I yelled at ken letting the jutsu work one more time staring into his eyes running after ken who now has my katana near him. I look into his eyes clearly forming one more sign kicking up Sand again to conceal my movements as I appear next to ken grabbing my katana from either his hand of the ground which I left it. I come across with a slash to the side of ken wanting to get this over with. I hold my sword out in front of me when I sheath it again making one hand seal the tiger seal when I vanish kicking up the sand to keep my movements hidden as I try and hit ken again with another slash to the back making an X on his back from what I did before.

I jump backwards to get as far away from Ken as possible getting my thought right for my next few attacks knowing that ken might be getting out of the jutsu quicker then what I would expect that is even if I landed the jutsu. I grab two Kunai and throw them one behind the other needing to get theses strikes right before I chased behind them unsheathing my sword going in for an all out attack before I can use anything else.

As Ken watched he saw Kenji form several handseals, and then just stood there for one second. After that he finally saw him move and heard him shout. Ken realized that it was the genjutsu again. He instantly stuck his katana over to the katana that was on the ground to his side, however all he had done was block an unseen strike from Kenji. Ken knew what he'd have to do. He suddenly jumped up, one, two meters high in the air, making a shruiken in his right hand between his index and middle fingers. He then threw it straight into his left arm, causing just enough pain to escape the genjutsu. He squinted in pain as he did, and quickly pulled it out as he fell to the floor, landing on his feet.

As he watched he saw that Kenji had jumped backwards, and was now a good distance from Ken. His katana was now back it's owner. He didn't like to, but he knew he would need his eyes open for this fight. He would need to make sure that his opponent wouldn't use projectiles like he had been. He threw the shruiken he had used earlier, but it had only deflected a kunai, which in turn stopped the other one following it. Then came Kenji, his katana drawn. Kenji was running at Ken, probably thinking he would've had the katana for a distraction, but a bloody shruiken had fixed that little mistake.

Ken decided to bring a trick of Kenji's back onto the playing field. Before Kenji could reach him, Ken kicked sand up. This should have blocked Kenji's sight. Then as the strike came, it was only met with a small boulder, a kawarimi having been used. As Ken had disappeared, having been replaced by a rock, he appeared behind Kenji, quickly making two clones, one to his left and one to his right. These would merely be distractions if Kenji was to be able to find him. Then Ken gave a good quick, yet strong slash, from Kenji right shoulder to his left kidney. His clones did the same, but they would not be felt, only seen, and any hit to them would cause them to disperse.

Then the slash would be followed by a kick to the back of Kenji's right shin, and then a quick attempt to pull his left leg from under him, attempting to trip him. Then would be a nice thrust to Kenji's mid-area and another knee to his groin. He would then try to keep in a defensive and offensive stance to ensure safety and a good strike to be ready whenever needed. Kenji didn't seem to be much of a taijutsu user, but anything could happen.

I turn around after the first strike hit me bringing my katana up to block the other strikes. I move back from where the clones where when I knew that with the bleeding I would have to move fast. I make a handseal with my sword tucked at my side when I vanish with a huge cloud of sand up blocking the view of Ken. I appear behind him kicking the two clones with me jumping into the air with the kicks then coming down with a slash from my katana on his back again.

I look around as I land on the ground with blood spilling from every attack that he did to me leaking blood knowing that the blood of his from my attack should still be running to. I throw my sword up into the air when I make the hand sign again to where I can move faster then what can be seen leaving only a cloud of sand around. I appeared in the air grabbing my katana by its handle coming down with one strike aimed for ken. I make another hand sign feeling the strain on my chakra. < I am almost at my limit on my chakra pool > I thought knowing I still have my reserve chakra waiting.

I look at Ken as I begin to breath heavy having blood come down my back with me coughing up blood still determined to make chuunin. “ I wont let you beat me now” I said to ken since he was standing there waiting what is going to happen again. I grab a few of my kunai and throw them making a clone soon after with both of us running at him going after one vital point on his body that will stop him from moving as I brought my katana around my left leg in an upward movement that was going to take out his legs to keep him down. “ I see that we both are determined but I have struggled enough to know that I cant give up” I said when I move my sword back to the sheath doing a quick thinking plan by grabbing the sheath and waiting for ken to make his move even though I barely have anything that will allow me to keep this up for much longer “I will beat you” I said waiting for ken to move.

As he hit he smiled, his opponent seemed much weaker now. He was running on reserve chakra and reserve stamina now, whilst Ken still had a bit more stamina to go, and a trick up his sleeve to help with chakra. As his first strike hit, the others are blocked, and Kenji once again disappears to head behind him with a shunsin. He defeated his clones, though they posed no threat and just vanished in a cloud of smoke. As the strike to Ken's back came, he decided to play a little more.

He vanished once more, a small boulder in his place, as he appeared behind his opponent once more. This time however, he had a new trick up his sleeve. He quickly formed handseals, his sword in between his hands as he did, and he disappeared underground using his jutsu. He would wait for the perfect time and then try to grab his opponents ankles and pull him under. His opponent would then be trapped helplessly, and Ken atop him with a katana in his hand.

However, it was not the perfect time yet. So he waited there, listening to Kenji's movements and shouts, sighing to himself as he did. He finally decided to make a move. His eyes' irises quickly turned red, as his chakra supply raised 50%. It felt good, he felt more powered. As he listened, he finally thought it was a good time. He suddenly reached up out of the ground, try to grab Kenji's ankles.

If he did grab Kenji's ankles, then he would pull him under ground, and he himself would go above ground. He would be trapped so tight that he would barely be able to move, but could still breath, and only his head would be above the ground. Then ken would hold his katana to his ear, a quickly cut a small chunk from the top of his opponents ear. He didn't want to kill yhis oppone,t but had to make sure his opponent knew who was the boss. Then he would kick sand into his opponents eyes to make sure he would have more trouble knowing what was going on. Finally he would then make two senbon, and poke them through each of his ear lobes, so that he would have two senbon hanging out of his ears.

If he would miss, then he would quickly bring his arms back inside the ground, and move behind Kenji, only then to pop out of the ground and attempt to slash his back again.

I hit a boulder when Ken disappeared leaving only a boulder drop infront of me. < where did he go > I thought breathing heavily knowing that something was wrong when I turn around only to make one handseal kicking up some sand as I vanish from sight and appear on a boulder near the center of the area. Breathing so heavy and with the wound on my back spiking up with pain and sand in the wounds and blood running down I start to form some hand signs only to begin to fall.

I fall down from the boulder I am on knowing that I used the last of my strength on that last move to avoid Kens attack from the ground. I see the sand coming closer as I hit the ground face first knowing that there was nothing left in me from this battle. “ Ken if you can hear me” I started to say “ Its over” I finished before I passed out form the bloodloss and the chakra drain from using so much of it during this battle from the time that it began till now. I know that if anything I proved to my family that was watching from up in the stands that I have become stronger then I was when I was a kid. I lay there with the blood flowing down my back not being able to move a bit hopeing the protector will show themselves to end the match since I can not go on.

As Ken came out of the ground, he only found sand in the air once again. Kenji had used the sand to block his presence, and then it seemed he used a shunsin for a quick breather. But as the sand fell, Ken saw what had really happened. Kenji with his last bit of stamina, had dodged his attack from underground, then shunsined away to try to regain himself. However, once he had gotten to the boulder of which he had shunsined to, he lost his control and reserve stamina, and then fell from the boulder to the sand below.

Ken ran to the boulder and he was just in time to hear what Kenji said. He smiled as Kenji admitted that the fight was over, he had no more fight left in him. Ken had been breathing through his mouth, in a almost pant. When he crouched down and saw that Kenji really had no more fight left in him, he deactivated his demonic influence. Ken smiled as he picked Kenji up, and leand him against the rock so he wouldn't fall anymore. No Ken didn't think of him as a bad guy, yes he did think of himself of a at least semi-good guy, and no he wasn't just a self-centered brat.

Ken re-sheathed his sword as he waited for the proctor, and what would come next.

The proctor woman appeared and then walked along the ground to the boy. She sighed as she waved her hands and the medic team approached and collected the boy. She then turned to Ken and pouted. It seems that she wanted more action out of this battle after having seen different battles have exciting climaxes. She then whistled. "This battle is over." She said as the medics carried the bleeding boy. She then walked off and disappeared back into the crowd.
