Bloodline Name: Cursed Blood
Clan Name: N/A
Leader: None, or clan leaders council
Village: N/A

Clan Description: Only a select few people know about this clan, or rather, an alliance of several clans. Of course, seeing how every clan doesn't really exist as a clan, it can hardly be called that.

Those who possess this power usually refer to themselves as the Cursed. While gaining considerable power beyond the limits of normal humans, they all suffer greatly from its side effects and no longer remain truly human.

While the Cursed have not been together as a clan, or even several separate clans, for over two hundred years, the Laws of Blood still remain sacred for every single member. These laws are rather basic, mostly referring to how one is supposed to fight their darker desires and only feed when the hunger demands it; a notable thing about the laws is that they are not a strict set of rules, but guidelines all the Cursed should follow. The only law that is absolute and breaking it is punishable by death is about conflict among the Cursed. It reads: "When two Cursed have a conflict of interests of any sort, they must always compromise. If that is not deemed possible by either or both in question, they must enter a challenge, which will either be decided by them or another Cursed in case they are unable to agree on one. The challenge can have any nature, but in case of a duel, it is only until first blood. If one Cursed kills the other, even by accident, they are put to death. Outside of an official duel, a Cursed may not intentionally harm another Cursed in any way, or they will be put to death. If a Cursed unintentionally harmed another, they will be severely punished, and if the victim suffered considerable harm, put to death". In other words, the most sacred rule of the Cursed is that none of them must ever harm another.

When the Cursed were a large group of people, they also had a sort of "caste system", which was never officially canceled. Among all Curses, there are seven ranks. In ascending order of importance: Acolyte, Neophyte, Adept, Noble, Royal, Master and Lord, with Lord being the current clan leader, meaning there are only a few Cursed Lords at all times. Werewolves are usually viewed as the Warrior Caste, banshees as the Sage Caste, vampires as the Intellectual Caste and reavers as the Artisan Caste. Officially, members of different Castes with the same rank are equal, but an unspoken rule is that banshees and vampires can give orders to werewolves and reavers of the same rank. Another interesting detail is that only a Pure Blood can be a clan leader, and for a half-blood to gain even Master rank is extremely rare.

The origins of the Cursed are shrouded in mystery. Nobody truly knows how they came to be, whether their power is indeed a curse or a unique bloodline or even if the first of them were human at all, and even within those groups, there are many different ways people tell the story.

Those who say it was a curse generally fight over whether it was a curse set on some good people by an evil god, or a curse set on some bad people by a good god. The first claim the Cursed used to be valiant knights and protectors of the weak, who battled demons and evil in all its forms, until a great evil demon or god put The Curse on them, forcing them to kill and eat the people they used to protect just to survive. The other group says that they were, on the contrary, raging barbarians with inhuman customs, who would feast upon their enemies' flesh, and that The Curse was a punishment for their sins. Of course, considering they only gained power in addition to their ways if the second variation was true, it is less widespread.

The unique bloodline limit is usually frowned upon, but the debate whether the Cursed originated from some sort of inhuman beings is a very heated and highly favored one. Some say they came from a human female that mated with a wolf: the offspring were beast-men, much stronger and more violent than either of the predecessors; some say it was an innocent wolf cub poisoned with demonic energies that became the first of the Cursed. There are theories that those with the Blood originated from a human and demon couple, or just demons who pretended to be human so much they acquired a human look. There is also a ridiculous story that the Cursed were actually dead which rose from their graves to cleanse the human world which had become too corrupt. Of course, it is usually laughed upon, because the Cursed are very much alive, but it does explain some of their abilities and their consumption of humans better than the others.

Whichever idea is true, nobody really knows, since all have ridiculously impossible things evened out with logic and reason depicting the Cursed's powers.

Another thing closely related to the Cursed, it could even be said by blood, though in a specific way, are Ghouls. This is what they call humans who serve the Cursed, though not just hired workers but a much closer bond. Ghouls are humans who were fed some Cursed Blood, though it doesn't matter whether they knew about it or not. The results of this are quite strange: they become unable to disobey a Cursed's direct order, yet they do not even realize that they are being controlled, as they retain free will in everything else and believe to follow these orders by their own choice. They gain slight benefits of the Cursed as well, namely perfect sight in the dark and the same power boost at night, but that is all. An interesting detail is, any Cursed can command any Ghoul, but Cursed of the same kind as the blood the Ghoul was fed hold more authority than others and the one Cursed whose blood was given to the human holds the most authority. It is for this reason that when making Ghouls in general, a mixture of blood from many different Cursed of all kinds was used, so that they all could command the Ghouls according to their rank in the clan. Of course, Ghouls that would listen to a specific kind of Cursed before others were also made, as well as personal Ghouls.

Clan Traits/Characteristics: Vary

Something that would probably not seem very important at first, but all the Cursed are extremely attractive to normal humans. They are just as attractive to each other, but while humans are usually easily and completely charmed by them in one way or another, they are resistant to each other's unnatural charm.

Clan Personality: Varies, but due to the nature of the bloodline and the consequences it brings, most members tend to be have "dark" personalities.

Bloodline Description: These clans do not possess a single bloodline, and it can be said that none of them do possess a bloodline at all. The changes suffered by those with the Cursed Blood vary, but they separate the members of the clans from humans as a race, or several races, rather than just special abilities, despite them still being completely humanoid.

All the Cursed Blood clans possess several very notable differences from a "normal" bloodline. First of all, you don't have to be born into it, and most members actually aren't, but it can be spread by strong people who have it. It is done is similar ways by all Cursed, and when one is turned, they lose the bloodline they previously possessed, if any. However, through a special ritual of blood transfusion, it is possible to turn someone willing to become a Cursed without them losing their bloodline limits or abilities.
Secondly, those who possess the Cursed Blood have greatly extended lifespans: they grow up at a normal human rate but then remain young until 30-40 years before death, when they start to age as normal humans again. Third, their constitution is superior to a normal human's, their bodies being immune to most natural illnesses and devoid of chance flaws in one's body. They also grow in power during the night or an eclipse, and the dark does not affect their sight at all.

There are downsides, however. All those who possess the Blood bear a curse, as apparent from the name. They must consume human beings as food to survive, different curses making them feed on different essences of the body. Sunlight also affects them, making them weaker and inhibiting some of their powers.

Something completely unprecedented is that those who possess the Cursed Blood may also have a bloodline limit. This is possible by being a child of a human with a special bloodline and a Cursed, through a special ritual involving blood transfusion or through consumption of one who possesses such a power. Those who have the Curse and a bloodline limit are bestowed with the common powers of both, but they don't get quite as many benefits from the Curse as Pure Bloods, who make a point of not absorbing a common human's abilities.
The ritual is actually very simple. Usually it would involve hundreds of candles lit and put in a circle around a eight-pointed star painted in red, where the Cursed and the donor would sit. However, the whole idea is that the donor must willingly give the other 10% of their blood through transfusion. Naturally, the Cursed would have to let some of their own blood loose beforehand to not overload their blood circulatory system. The exact reverse version of this ritual is used when turning someone into a Cursed without them losing their bloodline. When turning someone using this ritual, they will still go through the whole normal turning process.

Another interesting detail is that one can switch between Curses through a special ritual. In doing so, they will obtain the abilities of the other Curse, but lose all the abilities that were tied with their previous Curse, including consumed bloodline limits. Meaning they would have to learn even shared skills over.
The ritual to switch between Curses usually involved as many clan members as possible, since it was viewed as a second birth. Naturally, it was a very fancy and rather big ceremony, but it was also very rare that one would want to switch their Curse. The actual switching is a complex seal put on the Cursed which puts him in a coma for three days while their body is being rebuilt in some ways. It can be used by any other Cursed who is capable of turning humans. When one switches curses like this, they go through the whole normal turning process as if they were human.

There are also some things all those bearing the Curse must watch out for. The greatest fear of anyone possessing the Blood is losing to the Curse, giving in to the monster within. This is presented in two trials they all go through every moment of their lives.
First is the Trial of Hunger, representing the unnatural desire to consume humans. While those with the Curse do need to feed on humans to survive, they do not need that much essence to live and consuming more does not make them stronger, though it does restore their strength and makes their wound heal at a rapid rate. However, while the hunger for humans can be sated rather easily, the desire is always there and it may drive one insane, making them attack anyone and everyone valid as a food source. If a Cursed looses themselves like this, they may never regain their mind.
At this point, it should be noted that no Cursed can be a prey for another. Consuming another with the Blood will sate the hunger, but it is considered the worst sin one could ever commit. However, feeding on humans does not have to be constant, as humans themselves eat normal food everyday. A Cursed can go seven days without sating the Hunger without any side effects, but then they start growing weaker and die within the following month for reasons that go way beyond physiology. Animals can be consumed instead of humans, but those that do are frowned upon among the Cursed, like humans who would eat stale bread on a feats in the king's castle, and they are only one fifth as satisfying. Any Cursed can also eat human food normally, but it does not satisfy their Hunger and is not required at all, though it helps keep one's strength up when consumption of humans is not possible, seeing as a large part of it is of animal nature, but even plant-based food helps. With proper nourishment, a Cursed can last up to three months without consuming humans, but at the end of that time, they will die no matter how many animals or human food they eat, unless they consume a human.
Second is the Trial of Darkness. It represents the eternal struggle between the Cursed's human side and the darkness within. While pretty much anyone has a dark alter-ego, those who have the Blood always possess a very strong evil will in their minds. For some, it may never show; for others, they may always find themselves trying to choose whether to do something "good" or something "bad"; some merge with the dark side readily; very few can transcend this trial for good, where they emerge wiser from both points of view.
There is another Trial, though it is not a struggle with a beast within, and not a struggle at all. It's called the Trial of Love, but is most often referred to as Recognition. Basically, it is love, but on a whole different level. Unlike love, it cannot be developed by years of contact, though it usually takes several years to manifest, but can be spontaneous as well. Once you've recognized a person, you would realize it, and you would never be able to love another. That means, there is only one person in the whole world you could recognize. It's a lifetime bond that you cannot sever. The Cursed have feared recognition for generations, because it does not give you a choice. A situation where you love one person but then suddenly recognize another is easily possible. It usually takes a lot of time to manifest, but the situation where you only met a person several times and recognized him or her is possible. Because of that, the Cursed having children was very rare. None of them dared stay in a relationship for over two years in fear of recognizing someone who might not recognize them back, or will simply die of old age as all humans do. However, for a Cursed to recognize a human is extremely rare.

The Curse of Flesh has been closed and is thus no longer accepting new members.

Bloodline Name: Cursed Blood: Werewolf; The Curse of Flesh
Clan Name: None (clan members sometimes take the last name Garou, which means "hungry wolf")
Leader:
Village: Any or None

Clan Description: Werewolves are probably the most hated and the most hunted of all the Cursed. They feed on human flesh, which always leaves a mauled human, most often corpse, behind. They were also easier to track because of the smell of death and blood from their werewolf forms, wilder than normal human behavior and some suspicious things directly related with moon phases. Due to this, the vampires have always provided them with shelter and thus assumed the role of the leading clan. The other Cursed didn't mind, at first, until a particularly selfish vampire with no respect for the Laws of Blood emerged and started abusing the vampires' among them for personal gain. Not even a dozen years passed before werewolves and banshees, and even most vampires, were fed up with him. They planned to exile him, but he was accidentally killed when the argument became heated. It was impossible to tell who did that because of the present chaos, so everyone suspected the other and the clans fell apart. Some suspected the selfish bastard committed suicide to get back at his own, because he predicted the outcome would be that the Cursed would stop existing as a clan or even several clans, but that was impossible to prove and the one who suggested it was immediately accused of trying to cover up their crime.

Since then, werewolves continued to exist in their ancient land, but their numbers inevitably dwindled. Without the protection and deceitful work of the vampires, they were much easier to find out, and they were killed as inhuman beasts, without mercy. When the pursuit became too great, those bearing the Curse of Flesh had to go into hiding, and many died because of the Hunger. Werewolf sightings became less and less frequent, and eventually, they were believed to be extinct. However, nobody could say that for sure, and werewolves most likely remain somewhere to this day.

Clan Traits/Characteristics: Werewolves do not have any specific common traits in their appearance, they can have pretty much any skin, hair and eye colors and facial features. Body type tends to be highly athletic or muscular. What they share is a strange feral charm. They usually seem like "wild and free" type people, but to an extent never met in a normal human and more characteristic of animals. This primitive animalistic charm attracts both humans and other Cursed easily. This is known as feral charm.

Clan Personality: Werewolves are the least human in personality. While their characters may differ greatly, their actions are usually more instinctive than logical. They fully utilize the benefits of their animal nature, though it's the same nature that makes their behavior socially unacceptable sometimes. The word etiquette holds little to no meaning for the average werewolf, and some of them have downright bad manners.

When it comes to relationships, werewolves stay true to their animal nature. It does not bother them at all to mate with random people on a whim, and long-lasting couples are an extremely rare occasion. Couples at all are mostly formed when they need to grow the cubs or keep a pack together as the alpha male and female.

Bloodline Description: The Curse of Flesh is a Curse where one is forced to eat human flesh to survive. There is not much to say about this particular Curse in addition to what has already been said about the Cursed in general, besides that their power is focused around animal transformation.

Bloodline Limits:

  • Name: The Curse of Flesh
    Requirements: None
Description: Those bearing this Curse must eat human flesh in order to survive. Like all Cursed, werewolves regain strength and heal quickly when consuming the according "body essence", in their case, flesh. It can be done in any form: human, animal or partial, and heals them equally.
Werewolves are generally physically tougher than vampires or banshees, but their minds aren't quite as strong. They are known to have great stamina and high resistance to pain, and strangely enough, they are completely unperceptive to physical pain of any kind caused by illusionary techniques. Depending on the kind of animal one is bound with, werewolves may possess sight, hearing and smell increased to varying extents: for example, werewolves have great smell and increased hearing while werecats have highly increased sight and hearing and increased smell. For reasons unknown, those bearing this Curse are unable to use summoning animals: their blood simply flows off contract scrolls as if they were metal.
Stronger werewolves can spread the Curse through any wound left by their nails/claws or teeth. The victim will not turn unless the werewolf releases special bacteria, which resides in their saliva and nails/claws, into their bloodstream, so it is almost impossible to spread the Curse unwillingly. Once the victim is infected, they would fall very ill within a few hours and would remain sick for a week, during which their body would be going through many changes, after which they would suddenly get well. However, an experienced medic ninja should be able to identify the bacteria and heal the victim, but that is only possible within two days of the infection: after that time, the immune system will have been altered so that killing the infection would also kill the patient.
Another difference compared to the other Cursed, is that werewolves are affected by new moon and full moon. On the night of a new moon, they are completely freed of their Hunger, but lose the ability to transform into Were-Form, altogether for half-bloods and beyond Stage III for Pure Bloods. On the night of a full moon, the Hunger becomes extremely hard to resist, and the Cursed are forced into the highest Stage of Were-Form available to them. Only very strong-willed individuals may be able to resist it, but even then, Pure Bloods cannot go below Stage III.

  • Name: Telepathy: Werewolf
    Requirements: None
Description: This is an ability shared by all Cursed, though it is the least developed in werewolves. It refers to the ability to establish a mental link between two cursed, thus "talking" instantaneously and without using actual words. They are also able to send messages to common people, though the latter would be unable to respond in this manner. These messages may include actual words, so that the receiver would hear the sender's voice in their head, a sequence of images or associations or just general emotions and feelings on a matter. They can also sense any Cursed within their sending range, unless the latter are suppressing their aura, thus hiding their presence. The distance is 100 feet for E-rank werewolves, 250 feet for D-rank, 500 feet for C-rank, 1000 feet for B-rank, 2500 feet for A-rank, 5000 feet for S-rank and 7500 feet for SS-rank. If sending to a Cursed you don't know personally, the distance is cut in half, and to send to a human you don't know closely, you must have them in sight or within one tenth the normal distance. In addition, when communicating with one's clones, the distance is unlimited.
All Cursed have the ability to find another anywhere in the world, but they must know the person in question rather well and they'll only know which way to go towards them. This will not work if the one you're trying to find is hiding their presence.

  • Name: Were-Form
Requirements: None/Pure Blood; C rank for Stage IV; B rank for Stage V; A rank for Stage VI; S rank for Stage VII
Description: The Were-Form is something only werewolves possess. It should be cleared right from the start that werewolves can, in fact, transform into animals other than wolves. The name "werewolf" probably came from the fact that canine forms are more frequent than feline or any other kind, and the most common wild canine with thick hide and violent nature is the wolf. If people who encountered the werewolves closely enough to be able to tell the features of what animals they possess lived to tell the tale, the latter would probably never acquire that name and would be called something else.
While the shape shifting technique allows those with the Curse of Flesh to turn into pretty much any carnivore mammal, they only have one Were-Form, and it is entirely different from turning into the actual animal, as it combines their human and animal forms into something unique. The animal they are bound with can be any quadruped carnivore mammal, just like for shape shifting, but there is only one for each Cursed. The transformation has several levels called Stages, though it can be skipped directly to any level within the Cursed's power. Only the basic levels are available to half-blood werewolves. Unlike a normal ninja transformation or the shape shifting technique, it does not involve a puff of smoke and, while not losing in speed to those transformations, can be seen through the process.

    • Stage O: This is a no transformation stage of the Were-Form, in other words, completely human, or at least as human as werewolves can get.
    • Stage I: This stage involves minimal transformation. The Cursed gain some minor physical traits of their bound animal, like ears, a tail, maybe some facial markings and the like. Nothing else really changes, except their bound animal's feature senses are enhanced.
    • Stage II: The second stage involves more transformation than the first one. The Cursed now definitely get their animal's ears, eyes, a tail (if any) and facial markings or even hints of features. Depending on the animal, their fingernails can grow slightly and become sharper and stronger. Also dependent on the animal they are bound with, they may get a tiny layer of fur on their skin, which isn't really visible and feels mostly like very soft skin to the touch. At this stage, the Cursed gets a higher boost to their feature senses and a 15% overall physical ability increase.
    • Stage III: The third stage is on the edge of staying more or less human, though nobody would call a werewolf in this form human if they saw them in proper lighting and without some kind of robe. The Cursed gain most of their bound animal's physical traits: ears, eyes, tail, hide or just skin, feet, two joints in their legs and maybe other similar traits. Even their face now looks like a mix of human and the animal they are bound with. Their arms remain almost completely human at this stage, with only the general body changes and claws appearing on their hands for most. At this stage, the Cursed gets even sharper senses and a 30% overall physical ability increase. This is the highest stage a half-blood werewolf can transform into.
    • Stage IV: This stage is only accessible by a Pure Blood werewolf. With it, the physical transformation is complete, and the Cursed looks like a humanoid version of their bound animal rather than a human with animal features, though some body features only found in humans remain. At this stage, their body type is still the same for the most part, only slightly more muscular in appearance, yet their physical attributes are highly increased and they get large strong claws. Their strength increases 120% while speed and agility increase 50%, and their senses also become much sharper than a pet-nin's of the same kind.
    • Stage V: This is the second highest normal stage of Were-Form, only accessible by a Pure Blood. The physical transformation of the user continues, but rather than new features, they grow in size and their body shape changes. A Cursed in this stage will be, on average, seven feet tall, though it depends on their bound animal and a little bit on their human form height. Their upper body also grows in size a lot in comparison to lower body, turning them into the classic image of a werewolf. At this stage, only the shape of their arms remains somewhat humanoid: despite the fact that the body does not become less human than at the previous stage, it can usually no longer be recognized because of its shape. Their claws and teeth grow larger still, becoming very big but not so much as to hinder any of their actions. The Cursed's strength increases 350%, their speed and agility 70% and their senses reach a new high. Their wounds also start healing faster in this form.
    • Stage VI: The highest normal stage, this one is only accessible by strong Pure Bloods. Compared to the fifth stage, only the werewolf's size and physical ability changes and their hide becomes able to stop weak attacks. A Cursed in this stage will be eight feet tall on average, though it depends on their bound animal and a little bit on their human form height. Their muscles become very well-defined, though somewhat hard to see through thick hide if it's present. The Cursed's strength increases 900% while their speed and agility increase 80%. Interestingly, they may become much larger than eight feet high if they want to, but their physical ability remains unchanged, meaning compared to their size, they become weaker and slower.
    • Stage VII: This is the strongest Were-Form, only usable by very strong Pure Blood werewolves. The Cursed becomes bigger again, this time reaching an average height of nine feet, but their power grows greatly. Their claws become like steel blades, and much like at the highest level of animal transformation, their hide gains considerably protective qualities, able to stop many projectile and melee attacks while also punishing anyone who would dare touch the Cursed by cutting them. Their body becomes ripped with muscles and heals up even better than before. The Cursed's speed does not increase additionally from Stage VI, remaining at a 80% boost (though technically increasing because of the werewolf's size), and agility increases only a bit, to a total 100% bonus. However, their physical strength becomes insanely high, able to match that of enormous summoning creatures. Interestingly, they may become much larger than nine feet high if they want to, but their physical ability remains unchanged, meaning compared to their size, they become weaker and slower, though still on par with any boss summon.

  • Name: Cursed Power: Werewolf
    Requirements: Pure Blood
Description: Pure Blood werewolves are much tougher than humans physically. All of their senses are slightly boosted, while the feature ones of their bound animal are increased quite a bit. They are very tolerant to pain and can take more punishment. Their physical strength is boosted by 50% and speed and agility by 10% for all forms. Their healing power is also much better than a human's.

Clan Jutsus:

  • Name: Shape Shift: Werewolf
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: D
    Requirements: None
Description: A technique shared by all Cursed to some extent, it allows one to transform into animals or other forms. Only letting the user transform into small, unsuited for combat animals at first, this technique grows in power as the one with the Blood does. When transforming into an animal, the user gains all of the animal's traits. The transformation is performed at will.
Werewolves can transform into pretty much any quadruped carnivore mammal. For example, with felines and canines, they start out small, domestic-sized and practically useless in battle, and grow bigger and stronger with rank. By C-rank, they reach average wolf size and by A-rank they reach tiger size. At S rank, they grow even bigger, as tall as an average human male on all fours, and their teeth and claws become unnaturally large and strong and they also get tough hide that provides defense against weak attacks. At SS rank, they grow larger yet and this hide becomes strong enough to deflect some thrown projectiles and seems to be made of small razor blades as it cuts anything it comes in contact with. Different animals may have different added abilities of this sort. Werewolves gain another ability which is accessed through this technique and is pretty much the focus of the Curse: Were-Form.

Bloodline Name: Cursed Blood: Vampire; The Curse of Blood
Clan Name: None (clan members sometimes take the last name Kyuuketsuki, which means "vampire")
Leader: Shizuka(When this is Accepted)
Village: Any or None

Clan Description: The vampires were once a powerful clan in the far west, beyond the lands of shinobi, but now only a few remain. However, their downfall started long before Rera, the oldest remaining vampire, had to run away from the lands of her ancestors. Vampires feed on human blood and that does not necessarily involve a severe injury or death of their prey, and in this way they are superior to werewolves and banshees, who have to eat human flesh and souls. Due to this, the vampires have always provided the other Cursed with shelter and thus assumed the role of the leading clan.

Between that moment and Rera's grandfather, the vampires' history is lost to ages. Said grandfather was just a man from nowhere at first, but using his intelligence and unique abilities, he managed to become more influential than even kings of their countries, despite not holding any official political position. Naturally, that did not go well with people previously in authority, and eventually, his family was hunted down and killed, all except the little girl that managed to escape by giving in to the Darkness within and slaughtering her way to life. That time, she lost everything decided to flee the lands. She traveled to the far east and ended up in Water Country, where she tried to repeat what her grandfather once did in another land and succeeded. After wards, she turned a human boy as a part of an evil plot to gain incredible power, but he ended up saving her from the Darkness within, after which she disappeared from the scene.

Clan Traits/Characteristics: Vampires do not have any specific common traits in their appearance, they can have pretty much any skin, hair and eye colors and facial features. Body type tends to be more athletic. What they all do match in is that they are unnaturally attractive, always possessing the "perfect" combination of the features that make up their appearance. They have a charming effect on humans based on their perfectly matching features, being the perfect humans in appearance. This is known as perfect charm.

Note: When using dark techniques, and techniques influenced by their darker aspect, their eyes tend to turn red.
Clan Personality: Vampires do not have many common personality traits, probably the least of all the Cursed. Being the ones to interact with humans in society the most, they tend to have highly developed social skills. They value the art of speech, deception and manipulation, though by no means they believe it to be good, only a necessary evil. They utilize logic and deduction more than the other Cursed or your average human, though their actions and words do not always follow it, at least seemingly.

Vampires do not tend to stay in relationships for long for the reason of Recognition, but other than that, they are pretty human about it. They may or may not be serious about someone when they decide to sleep with them, and considering their history of social and political scheming, it isn't that uncommon that they would seduce someone to further their goals.

Bloodline Description: The Curse of Blood is a Curse where one is forced to drink human blood to survive. There is not much to say about this particular Curse in addition to what has already been said about the Cursed in general, besides that their power is more balanced and diverse than the other Cursed's.

Bloodline Limits:

  • Name: The Curse of Blood
    Requirements: None
Description: Those bearing this Curse must drink human blood in order to survive. Like all Cursed, vampires regain strength and heal quickly when consuming the according "body essence", in their case, blood. Usually, a vampire would bite someone in the neck, as it's soft and holds some major blood vessels, but pretty much any way you can suck someone's blood works.
Vampires are generally in the middle between werewolves and banshees, both physically and mentally. They have very acute senses, and strangely enough, are completely unperceptive to genjutsu (Up to S rank non Kin) which is aimed at fooling those senses or delaying their reaction. For reasons unknown, those bearing this Curse are unable to use summoning animals: their blood simply flows off contract scrolls as if they were metal, the only exception being the special clan scroll.
Stronger vampires can spread the Curse by biting someone, very similar to the way they feed. The victim will not turn unless the vampire releases special bacteria, which resides in their saliva, into their bloodstream, so it is almost impossible to spread the Curse unwillingly.

  • Name: Telepathy: Vampire
    Requirements: None
Description: This is an ability shared by all Cursed and it is the strongest among vampires.
However, vampires are still able to sense werewolves, banshees or reavers who are covering their presence. The power of a vampire's telepathy is quite high and has multiple additional uses. For example, vampires can sense any human within their sensing range, so it is impossible to surprise them, and they can tell almost any clone created by ninja techniques from the real person. They can also sense a human's emotions and general intentions and highly amplify their sending when using visualization or emotions, which can be used to instill fear or a particular thought indirectly into a human or even another werewolf Cursed. Something that is known as killing intent is a great advantage to vampires, because they can send its amplified version directly into someone's mind. Another thing is that they can make a certain mental aura surround them, in a similar way they would try to affect someone's thoughts by "replacing" their emotions and visual mind. Most often it is used to hide in plain sight: for this, a vampire would surround themselves with an aura of unimportance, so people will not pay attention to them despite seeing and hearing them clearly, as if their existence was not any more important than a tiny bug's they didn't even notice. This also works on werewolves.
The distance is 200 feet for E-rank vampires, 1100 feet for D-rank, 2000 feet for C-rank, 4000 feet for B-rank, 7000 feet for A-rank, 10000 feet for S-rank and 15000 feet for SS-rank.
Vampires can also tell if they are alive and their general mental status. This will not work if the one you're trying to find is hiding their presence, but only a vampire can block another vampire.

  • Name: Vampire Wings
    Requirements: None
Description: This is something only vampires possess: wings. Their wings are leathery, much like a bat's, but naturally much bigger, enough to support their weight in the air for extended periods of time. When not in use, the wings fold greatly, so much that they are impossible to notice through clothes that aren't too tight, however, clothes should be specifically designed to allow one to spread them freely. Note that you can only hover in these wings and not actually fly, however your speed and agility is increased by 5% each rank( 5% at E 10% at D 15% at C 20% at B 25% at A 30% at S and 35% at SS)

  • Name: Cursed Power: Vampire
    Requirements: Pure Blood
Description: Pure Blood vampires are creatures superior to human all-around. All of their senses are enhanced and their healing power is better. Physically, they are 40% stronger and 5% faster and more agile. Their high willpower also allows them to withstand any kind of pain better.

  • Name: Demon Form
    Requirements: Pure Blood, S-rank
Description: A powerful transformation ability available to vampires, otherwise known as True Vampire Form, it makes them lose human appearance. While they still do appear humanoid, it can't really be described as human. Generally, their skin will turn pretty much gray and get a rough look, but color may differ, though it's always pale and not encountered in human beings. Their ears grow longer and become pointed, somewhat reminiscent of a bat's in shape. Their facial features will become more beastly, sometimes becoming a bit bat-like, with a flat nose with large nostrils and similar changes. The Cursed's wings will grow in size considerably and change in appearance a lot, getting a demonic look instead of bat-like. Many people may not know this, but a bat's wings are actually deformed front legs, with vestigial "thumbs" and membranes between all their "fingers". The Demon Wings are pretty much the same, only they turn into fully-functional muscular limbs. The wings' membranous parts become harder to damage and can be folded, making the former look like two large demonic arms with very long flexible clawed fingers. These arms have a tough carapace to protect them from damage.
This transformation grants a vampire some major power boosts and a few powerful abilities. Their strength increases 50% while their speed and agility increase 30%. Their senses and healing power are boosted as well, while their skin becomes slightly thicker and tougher to offer light protection. T
Interestingly, for the strongest vampires, their appearance in this form has much less limitations. They still remain humanoid while still losing human appearance, but from there it's pretty much unrestricted.

Clan Jutsus:

  • Name: Shape Shift: Vampire
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: D
    Requirements: None
Description: A technique shared by all Cursed to some extent, it allows one to transform into animals or other forms. Only letting the user transform into small, unsuited for combat animals at first, this technique grows in power as the one with the Blood does. When transforming into an animal, the user gains all of the animal's traits. The transformation is performed at will.
Vampires can transform into bats, felines and wolves. With felines, they start out small, domestic cat-sized and completely useless in battle, and grow out to tiger-sized felines by A rank, at which point the increase in strength stops. The situation is similar with wolves, only they cannot transform into one until C rank and grow to be somewhat abnormally large ones at A rank, but that's also their limit. Only vampires can transform into bats, starting with any size below average and reaching unnaturally gigantic by SS rank. Unfortunately, bat forms are practically useless in battle. Pure Blood vampires gain another ability which is accessed through this technique and is pretty much the focus of the Curse: Demon Form.

  • Name: Hypnosis: Vampire
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: A
    Requirements: None
Description: In addition to telepathy, vampires possess a strong ability known as hypnosis. It is activated by making eye contact and can have a huge variety of effects, but generally, the vampire will try to take control over the opponent. It is more a battle of wills than anything, and is very hard to resist even when used by a weaker vampire. While in use, the vampire must maintain eye contact until the jutsu succeeds or can break eye contact, but that would abort it. The target is unable to break eye contact, and if they are able to move at all, their movement is limited to that that doesn't require their sight to shift. If it succeeds, the person in question will fall under the vampire's control until they are able to break free, which is harder than resisting the initial technique, meaning if nothing distracts the vampire, the person will not be able to break free. If hypnosis fails or is broken, the target will become unperceptive to it for the next several hours. This technique has no effect on other Cursed.

  • Name: Evil Release
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: D
    Requirements: Pure Blood
Description: The somewhat gaudy name of this technique does not give one any insight into its nature or effects. This ability cannot be used on its own, only coupled with a ninjutsu of offensive or defensive nature, in which case it boosts the power and may change the appearance of said ninjutsu. The general power boost is 10% for elemental techniques and 5% for others. However, elemental ninjutsu also gets additional effects: Fire becomes a deep purple color and burns chakra in addition to normal damage; Wind gets a dark red tint when visible and disrupts chakra flow in addition to normal damage; Lightning turns crimson and burns stamina in addition to normal damage; Earth becomes the color of ash and drains chakra and stamina (half as much chakra as fire burns and half as much stamina as lightning burns; the half of both is given to the user) in addition to normal damage; Water turns dark and becomes poisonous even to the touch in addition to normal damage. Non-elemental chakra turns black when visible, but does not get additional effects.

  • Name: Cursed Summoning: Vampire
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: B (Kinjutsu)
    Requirements: Pure Blood
Description: The Cursed cannot sign a "normal" summoning contract, as their blood flows off any scroll like it was metal. Instead, the Cursed all share one enormous summoning scroll which deals with many kinds of creatures usually referred to as "dark" and "evil". Strangely enough, although there is only one contract, each type of Cursed can only summon certain creatures from the contract. Another thing without explanation is that only Pure Blood Cursed are able to inscribe their names into the scroll.
All of vampires' summons are the undead. They can be broken up into three groups: Lesser Undead, Greater Undead and Undead Dragons.

    • The Lesser Undead group consists of two kinds of summons: skeletons and walking dead. Both are minor or major class group summons only. They are generally just generic human skeletons and corpses respectively, but skeletons can have "modifications", such as thicker bones or long sharp finger bones, and both kinds can come equipped with some kinds of weapons or armor. The amount, equipment and strength of each summoned creature depend on the summoner's and summoning technique's power. Skeletons are quicker and deadlier while walking dead are tough to take down.
    • The Greater Undead, just like the Lesser Undead, also consists of two kinds of summons: Liches and Abominations - which are a direct "evolution" of skeletons and walking dead respectively. They can be major or boss class group or solo summons. Liches may differ a lot in appearance, from large skeletons with thick bones of a strange color to almost human, and their skills may also lie in pretty much any area. Abominations are pretty much large chunks of flesh: different parts of human bodies taken seemingly at random and merged together in an attempt to maximize killing capabilities. As such, two abominations may look nothing alike. The amount, equipment and strength of each summoned creature depend on the summoner's and summoning technique's power. Liches may have various strengths and weaknesses, but abominations are always meat tanks: very tough and strong but somewhat slow.
    • Undead Dragons are a whole other kind of undead. They only come as solo boss class summons and only answer to vampires of all the Cursed. There are three types of Undead Dragons: Bone Dragons, Blood Dragons and Ghost Dragons. Bone Dragons are weaker than the other two, but even they can only be summoned by a strong vampire (A-rank) who reached at least Royal rank. Compared to other boss summons, Bone Dragons are physically thougher, stronger and faster, but can only have 3 jutsus. When a vampire reaches Master rank and increases their power more (S-rank), their Bone Dragon evolves into either Blood Dragon or Ghost Dragon. Blood Dragons emphasize on physical power and are also limited to 3 jutsus, while Ghost Dragons don't grow stronger physically but can have 5 jutsus like other boss summons. Blood and Ghost Dragons are capable of flight.

Bloodline Name: Cursed Blood: Banshee; The Curse of Soul
Clan Name: None (clan members sometimes take the last name Akuryou, which means "evil spirit")
Leader:
Village: Any or None

Clan Description: Banshees are the most shadowy figures among the Cursed. They are known to take the least interest in the human world, only going as far as feeding or aiding the vampires with their social and political schemes. They never really required protection since their way of feeding is impossible to trace, but they had not much interest in interacting with humans. Due to this, the vampires have assumed the role of the leading clan.

The fall of the Cursed Clans affected the banshees the least. They were always the fewest in numbers, but barely any met with an untimely end at the hands of humans. These Cursed feed on human souls, and while that always leaves behind a dead person, it is impossible to trace. Their nature of feeding is probably the most mystical as well: when they suck a person's soul out, the body may and usually does remain alive but with no mind inside of it. Of course, in this state it usually only takes a few days for the body to die as well. Thanks to this, banshees were able to escape the hunting for the most part, but even for them it wasn't completely safe. Genius investigators were able to put the pieces together, but even without them, banshees sometimes got caught at random, among common humans accused of witchcraft. It is unknown how many banshees, if any, remain to this day, as it was always unknown how many exactly there were even during the days the Cursed prospered.

Clan Traits/Characteristics: Banshees do not have any specific common traits in their appearance, they can have pretty much any skin, hair and eye colors and facial features. Body type is inclined towards thin, but is always attractive. What they do have in common is some strange hypnotic charm. They are always beautiful, and irrespective of their build, this beauty always seems innocent, what some people could call "angelic". Both males and females are easily drawn to them because of it, as if they were some kind of higher being existing just to be adored. This is known as innocent charm.

Clan Personality: While there is no defined personality among banshees, they tend to be "spiritually elevated". They most often view things from a philosophical point of view rather than practical or logical. They may seem slow because they tend to think over everything before saying it, and in the end may very well decide to not say anything at all. Still, they usually act true to their thoughts and feelings and rarely refer to lies or deception, viewing it as something indisputably wrong from the spiritual point of view.

They do not engage in any kind of relationship often, because they are deeply philosophical and emotional about it and see chance "contacts" as one of the worst things a person could do. A banshee who isn't horribly confused or hopelessly in love will never even kiss someone, unless it's for consuming their soul.

Bloodline Description: The Curse of Soul is a Curse where one is forced to consume human souls to survive. There is not much to say about this particular Curse in addition to what has already been said about the Cursed in general, besides that their power is focused around ghostly abilities. The only thing that sets them apart from the other Cursed, besides their abilities, is that only females can be banshee. If a banshee tries to turn a male, it will have no effect.

Bloodline Limits:

  • Name: The Curse of Soul
    Requirements: None
Description: Those bearing this Curse must consume human souls in order to survive. Like all Cursed, banshees regain strength and heal quickly when consuming the according "body essence", in their case, soul. The feeding process is very strange: the banshee must suck the victim's soul out through the mouth. This is usually performed with a kiss to throw the victim off guard, despite the fact that once a banshee starts feeding, it is impossible to escape unless someone interferes, which is also not probable because the soul being sucked doesn't seem to have any apparent effects on the victim. The feeding doesn't have to involve a kiss, but the banshee's and victim's mouths must be no more than 2 inches away and both opened to start the process, which takes two to thirty seconds depending on the victim's mental strength and will to live, even if they do not realize they are being killed. It is also said that the souls a banshee consumes are not digested like food usually is but are simply trapped inside her, and will be released when she dies, though nobody could tell for sure. Banshees know that isn't true, but it is one of their most sacred secrets, not shared with even other Cursed.
Banshees are generally physically weaker than werewolves or vampires, but their mental capabilities are the greatest. They do not get increased senses, but their chakra pool and willpower are great and they are completely unperceptive to illusions meant to cause emotional or mental suffering(Up to S rank Non Kin). For reasons unknown, those bearing this Curse are unable to use summoning animals: their blood simply flows off contract scrolls as if they were metal, the only exception being the special clan scroll.
Stronger banshees can spread the Curse by kissing someone, very similar to the way they feed. The victim will not turn unless the banshee uses a special chakra infusion, so it is impossible to spread the Curse unwillingly. Once the victim is infected, they would fall into a come within a few hours and would remain that way for a week, during which their body would be going through many changes, after which they would suddenly get well. Unlike the Curses of Flesh and Blood, this one does not involve physical infection: the body is altered after the "ghostly DNA" the banshee infuses into someone, so medicine is powerless here. However, an intelligent enough seal master should be able to figure this out and seal off the alien chakra, though it must be done within two days from the infusion or the patient will die, because their body will be incompatible with human existence, but not yet completely modified, after that time. In addition to that, should the seal be broken, the transformation will resume and cannot be stopped again without killing the victim.

  • Name: Telepathy: Banshee
    Requirements: None
Description: This is an ability shared by all Cursed.
However, banshees are still able to sense werewolves who are covering their presence. The power of a banshee's telepathy is enough to have additional uses. For example, banshees can sense any human within half their sensing range, so it is impossible to surprise them, and they can tell most clones created by ninja techniques from the real person. They can also amplify their sending when using visualization or emotions, which can be used to instill fear or a particular thought indirectly into a human.
The distance is 150 feet for E-rank banshees, 825 feet for D-rank, 1500 feet for C-rank, 3000 feet for B-rank, 5250 feet for A-rank, 7500 feet for S-rank and 11250 feet for SS-rank.
Banshees can also tell if they are alive. This will not work if the one you're trying to find is hiding their presence, but werewolves are unable to block this ability used by a banshee.

  • Name: Cursed Power: Banshee
    Requirements: Pure Blood
Description: Pure Blood banshees have much greater mental power than a human being. They are not superior physically, but their minds allow them to transcend a lot of pain and both use and resist genjutsu better.

  • Name: Banshee Form
    Requirements: Pure Blood
Description: Banshee Form is a very unique ability that only Pure Blood banshees possess. All banshee in this form look very much alike, as they transform into a mass of darkness, wearing a hooded one-piece lean robe with the bottom and sleeve edges looking torn. While the "head" in the hood, "arms" in the sleeves and specific body features in the robe can still be seen, there is no actual body, just an imitation. The Banshee Form's shape may depend on the particular user, but it isn't very obvious, and the more common way to tell two banshees in this form apart is by the color of their glowing eyes or the robe. While the robe is usually white or lighter shades of gray, it may have some designs in darker gray. The Banshee Form is also seven feet tall on average. Unlike common ninja transformation or the shape shifting technique, it does not involve a puff of smoke, and while just as fast, can be seen through the process.
The first thing that catches one's attention about this form is its ability to fly. Banshee Form does not involve a tangible body, so it can fly freely and cannot be harmed, though they do feel like extremely thick mist of some sort to the touch. Unfortunately, it does not mean that a banshee cannot be defeated, though it is a process that requires endurance and, most of all, intelligence. Banshee themselves can only use specific techniques in this form, namely bloodline limits and jutsus and general genjutsu, and every time they are "hit", they lose some chakra, depending mostly on the scale of the attack. Once they are down to 15% of their total chakra, a banshee is forced back into human form. Additionally, when a banshee enters this form, their immunity to genjutsu aimed to cause emotional or mental suffering advances even further, automatically reflecting all techniques of this kind back on the user. Interestingly, they are immune to most of each other's attacks in this form.

Clan Jutsus:

  • Name: Shape Shift: Banshee
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: D
    Requirements: None
Description: A technique shared by all Cursed to some extent, it allows one to transform into animals or other forms. Only letting the user transform into small, unsuited for combat animals at first, this technique grows in power as the one with the Blood does. When transforming into an animal, the user gains all of the animal's traits. The transformation is performed at will.
Banshees can transform into felines or swans, and even there, they are pretty limited. They start at domestic-cat size and develop to panther-sized felines by B rank, but that's as strong as they get. With swans, they start out at normal size and become several times larger at B rank, but they are pretty much useless for battle. Pure Blood banshees gain another ability which is accessed through this technique and is pretty much the focus of the Curse: Banshee Form.

  • Name: Hypnosis: Banshee
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: A
    Requirements: None
Description: In addition to telepathy, banshees possess a strong ability known as hypnosis. However, this is not hypnosis in its common understanding, like what the vampires have. It does not require eye contact, but it also does not allow you to control the target if successful. This technique is more like an aura affecting all those the banshee wants to. It gives off a peaceful calm and feelings of understanding and acceptance, making the targets lose any desire to fight the banshee or in general, and also feel like she is the only one who really understands them and accepts them for who they are. This technique plays on the subconscious feelings any human has and so it's extremely hard to resist. The target of this technique would usually just stop doing anything, waiting for the banshee's actions passively as they are put in a state of complete inner peace and tranquility. Extremely troubled or strong-willed individuals may be more resistant to this effect.

  • Name: Banshee's Kiss
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: D
    Requirements: Pure Blood
Description: This technique is a strange one. It is performed the exact same way as a banshee would feed: by sucking one's soul out through the mouth, with a kiss or without it. However, instead of consuming the soul for food, the banshee will store it inside of her. It is unknown whether there are physical organs which take on the function of storing or digesting a soul or there is some sort of "spirit organs" for that, or neither. This technique has many uses in information gathering and assassination, because once the soul is trapped inside the banshee, she can do one of the following:

    • Soul Merge: this ability literally merges the banshee's and the captured soul for an instant. During that instant, their minds are completely united and they learn everything possible about each other: all the memories, ideals, beliefs, feelings, character, way of thinking etc.
    • Consumption: the captured soul is digested like in normal feeding process.
    • Release: the captured soul is expelled from the banshee. Naturally, if it is released into the air, it's the same as if the person simply died. It can be returned to the original body if it's still alive, seeing as how the body takes a while to die after the soul is extracted. It can also be put into another body, but only one with no soul. In that case, during the following two weeks, the new body will change to accommodate the soul better. By the end of those two weeks, the body will gain all of the soul's skills and abilities, including bloodline if present.

  • Name: Cursed Summoning: Banshee
Banshee can summon two large groups of creatures: undead and "evil spirits". The undead available to banshees are split into two groups as well: Lesser Undead and Greater Undead.

    • Evil Spirit summons refer to lesser dark beings like hobs or phantoms. They can be minor or major class group summons only. There are a lot of different kinds of creatures that fall into this category, each with their own strengths, weaknesses and abilities.

  • Name: Banshee's Howl
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: A
    Requirements: Banshee Form
Description: A very simple technique, it amplifies the volume of the banshee's high-pitched scream many times. The frequency of the sound waves of the normal howl causes a very unnerving reaction and spreads far by itself, and with this technique, this effect is amplified and can spread over very long distances, though a banshee would usually limit it to several hundred feet.

  • Name: Leech Mind
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: A
    Requirements: Banshee Form
Description: This jutsu drains the target's mental power and will directly, throwing them into an endless pit of depression and despair, taking away their will to fight and live. At least that's the intended effects of this technique. In actuality, the degree of effect this may have on a person depends on a great multitude of factors. The less they are satisfied by something in their life: regretable decisions in the past, their personal life, their family and friends, their social life, their skills, anything of the sort - the more vulnerable they are. Lack of confidence is also a serious disadvantage. Logically, the happier and more confident a person is, the more resistant they are. However, this works on a subconscious level, so many ideas that may seem to protect the target and which they persuaded themselves to honestly believe in won't have the expected effect. Strong will and mentality will provide some protection, but in no way sufficient. The trick of this technique is that there probably isn't a single person who doesn't have many regrets, even if just subconscious.

  • Name: Confusion
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: A
    Requirements: Banshee Form
Description: An attack which would be classified as genjutsu by most, which is exactly why it's so powerful. The banshee attacks the target's mind with pure mental energy, greatly confusing their thoughts or senses. The mind's confusion can differ greatly, from mixing up left and right or holding a weapon by the wrong edge to mistaking friend for foe or getting random "revelations" about your friend's or foe's true nature, which may also lead to switching sides. The confusion in senses can have similar effects for different reasons or something entirely different, like being unable to move the limbs you want to the way you want to. Depending on the target's mental strength and intelligence, this effect can last for some dozen seconds or many hours, but nobody is completely unaffected by it.

  • Name: Ghostly Wail
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: S
    Requirements: Banshee Form
Description: The only direct attack available to Banshee Form, it is based on greatly amplifying sound waves produced by the banshee normally. It has the same unnerving effect as Banshee's Howl, but is focused on causing physical harm rather than mental. The power of the sound waves produced by Ghostly Wail is enough to crush and blow away even large rocks. Since banshee usually float a little above ground, the place where they use the Wail can be seen by specific perfectly shaped craters in the ground. Anyone within five meters of the banshee takes severe physical damage to their whole body, extreme damage to their ears and related inner organs and are blown away. Within fifteen feet range the technique is less powerful, but it still puts great pressure on one's body and pushes them back a lot and is quite enough to deafen someone indefinitely. Within forty feet range, the physical damage is much less severe, but it's still extremely painful and will definitely cause bleeding from the ears. Within seventy feet, the technique doesn't deal any physical damage, despite still being tangible, but still hurts the ears a lot and may cause bleeding from them. Within one hundred feet it only hurts one's ears a lot, but not enough to cause bleeding. Within two hundred feet it hurts one's ears a bit. Beyond that range, only the effect of Banshee's Howl remains.

Bloodline Name: Cursed Blood: Reaver; The Curse of Bone
Clan Name: None (clan members sometimes take the last name Kamisori, which means "razor")
Leader:
Village: Any or None

Clan Description: Reavers are the least known of among all the Cursed, probably because they are the closest to normal humans in appearance and abilities and are thus easily mistaken for the latter. It is not known whether they had many interactions with humans since the fact of their existence is not known at all outside the Cursed, but they mostly fulfilled the role of artisans in the clan. Due to this, the vampires have assumed the role of the leading clan.

The reavers were affected greatly by the fall of the clan, though not in the way the others were. Since they appeared the most human among all Cursed, and thanks to the sophisticated way of feeding they used, partially for security reasons, they were not hunted at all. However, there was no longer anyone who had use for their craftsmanship and art and they inevitably were faced with serious financial problems. The decision was obvious, quick and very bad: to sell their work to common humans who could pay a good coin. Of course, soon afterwards, word of the unmatched weapons they made spread far and wide, but most people wanted more weapons than the reavers were willing to sell and didn't want to pay so much money for them, so they decided to enslave these Cursed. Naturally, they fought back, but their numbers weren't quite enough and in the end, those who remained alive and escaped capture were forced to flee to another land.

Clan Traits/Characteristics: Unlike the other Cursed, reavers do have some common appearance traits. Their hair is always devoid of color, only taking on shades of gray, black or white. Their eyes can have a color from the same range as their hair or blue, but that is quite rare. Body type tends to be more athletic. Their skin is usually to be pale, however, reavers actually have tiny scales instead of normal skin, though it is impossible to tell unless you're standing right next to them and paying close attention. As all Cursed, they have an unnatural charm, the one that draws people to any kind of mystery. This is known as mysterious charm.

Clan Personality: Reavers's personalities may vary, much like any other Curse's, but they tend to have more common traits than the rest. They always take whatever it is they are doing seriously, no matter how meager the task may seem. They value hard work and accomplishments more than the others, and frown upon the unpractical philosophy and deception. They take all rules very seriously and are strict with their judgment. However, reavers tend to be or at least appear artless when it comes to social interactions as they are very straightforward.

As with many other things, reavers are very close to humans in their views of relationships. Like all Cursed, they are concerned about long-term couples, but one-night stands do not bother them much. However, in either case, they are always truthful about their intentions, much unlike vampires. Something that is encountered among humans and other Cursed: predetermined marriages between children from noble families - is common practice for reavers.

Bloodline Description: The Curse of Bone is a Curse where one is forced to eat human bone marrow to survive. There is not much to say about this particular Curse in addition to what has already been said about the Cursed in general, besides that their abilities focus around masterful weapon craft.

Bloodline Limits:

  • Name: The Curse of Bone
    Requirements: None
Description: Those bearing this Curse must eat human bone marrow in order to survive. Like all Cursed, reavers regain strength and heal quickly when consuming the according "body essence", in their case, bone marrow. Unfortunately for them, it is hard to reach in field conditions, so they usually have to take a human or a fresh corpse somewhere they can work in peace. However, it was this same reason that allowed them to remain completely undetected by humans despite being easier to trace than banshees.
Reavers are between vampires and banshees when it comes to balance of physical and mental strength. All their senses are a bit increased when compared to a human's, but not to the extent a vampire's are. Strangely enough, they are unperceptive to genjutsu techniques that restrict movement. For reasons unknown, those bearing this Curse are unable to use summoning animals: their blood simply flows off contract scrolls as if they were metal, the only exception being the special clan scroll.
Unlike all other Cursed, reavers cannot spread the curse "normally". This means that someone can be turned into a reaver only through a ritual, either a turning one or a curse switching one. However, the causes of this are the same as with the Curse of Blood or Flesh: a week-long illness. Interestingly enough, this makes it impossible for those not born as reavers to have Pure Blood if they possess a bloodline, because the ritual specifically does not erase it from one's genotype, unless they go through a more complicated process.

  • Name: Telepathy: Reaver
    Requirements: None
Description: This is an ability shared by all Cursed.
However, reavers are still able to sense werewolves who are covering their presence. The power of a reaver's telepathy is enough to have additional uses. For example, reavers can sense any human within half their sensing range, so it is impossible to surprise them, and they can tell most clones created by ninja techniques from the real person. They can also amplify their sending when using visualization or emotions, which can be used to instill fear or a particular thought indirectly into a human.
The distance is 150 feet for E-rank reavers, 825 feet for D-rank, 1500 feet for C-rank, 3000 feet for B-rank, 5250 feet for A-rank, 7500 feet for S-rank and 11250 feet for SS-rank.
Reavers can also tell if they are alive. This will not work if the one you're trying to find is hiding their presence, but werewolves are unable to block this ability used by a reaver.

  • Name: Cursed Power: Reaver
    Requirements: Pure Blood
Description: Pure Blood reavers have greater constitution than common human beings. Their strength is 30% higher and their bodies heal a bit better. In addition to that, their scaled skin provides some light defense in the passive state.

  • Name: Soulforging
    Requirements: Pure Blood
Description: Reavers have always been the master artisans of the Cursed, and one of the most demanded areas of their craftsmanship was, naturally, weapon craft. In this they are without match across the world, and the secrets to their great creations are protected like nothing else. It is not known how they can create weapons of legendary power, but it is known that their weapons may possess the abilities of their fallen enemies. That is done by using the enemy's soul in the forging process, for which the reavers need to either ask the banshees for help or use Soul Traps.
This ability allows reavers to create custom weapons with power beyond other weapons of the same rank, and these weapons may have special powers reminiscent of a special ability or a bloodline of a dead character. However, it is required to have a role-play thread (or several) which shows how you acquired that soul. The forging itself must be done in character like kinjutsu training. The amount of points you need to make a weapon of a certain rank equals ("Difficulty Rating"/"Skill Rating").
Difficulty rating is 5 for C rank or below weapons, 10 for B rank weapons, 15 for A rank and 20 for S rank. Skill rating is 1 for Adept, 2 for Noble, 3 for Royal and 4 for Master and Lord. Acolytes and Neophytes cannot create weapons this way. Royal and Master Reavers may also reforge a weapon: in this case, the amount of points necessary for its creation is reduced by half of what it would take to create the old version. For example, a Royal is trying to reforge a B-rank weapon into an A-rank. He would need (15/3 - 10/(3x2)) = 3.33 points instead of 5. However, it can only be used to upgrade a weapon, meaning it can gain some new powers, which must stay true to the weapon's concept, or the old ones may become stronger, but the old powers cannot be removed. Â This ability can be used to create other items, unseen and unheard of, which may not be weapons at all.

  • Name: Jade Form
Requirements: Pure Blood; B rank for Stage I, A rank for Stage II, S rank for Stage III.
Description: Jade Form is the transformation ability of Pure Blood reavers, though it works somewhat differently than one would expect. It has several stages, but rather than the changes becoming more apparent with each stage, turning the reaver less and less human, it is just the opposite, and makes the reaver look more human than they usually do at the highest stage. Another interesting detail is, they do not gain additional techniques while in this form, but instead lose the ability to use some they normally can. Unlike common ninja transformation or the shape shifting technique, it does not involve a puff of smoke, and while just as fast, can be seen through the process.

    • Stage O: This is the zero stage of the transformation, in other words, when it is completely inactive and the reaver is in their common form.
    • Stage I: The first stage of the transformation looks the least like human. The reavers grows in size considerably, becoming about 50% taller, and their build changes to emphasize upper body. Even more apparent is that they become pretty much like their construct summons - living rock statues, though with usually crude edges. Their exact appearance, meaning what they seem to be made of, may differ from nondescript rock to common stones to semi-precious stones to precious stones, though it is only a visual difference and it cannot be adjusted by the reaver. This form grants good protection much like Jade Armor, meaning it restores 20% of the chakra from enemy's ninjutsu attack to the reaver, with E-rank ninjutsu completely drained and thus negated, while reducing the damage they take from all kinds of attacks by 30% and completely negating weak physical ones. Naturally, they become much much heavier, so it is harder to move them. Their physical strength increases by 300%, but their speed and agility drop 35%.
    • Stage II: In the second stage, reavers become more human-looking again. They return to their natural size and look as if they used Caparace at the highest possible level: with large edged scales - with color of the scales differing the same way as with the previous stage, in other words, they may look as if they were made of any kind of stone. It should probably be noted that the color scheme is the same for different stages of one reaver. In this form, all the damage they take is reduced by 30%, weaker physical attacks are completely negated and they still drain 20% of the chakra from enemy ninjutsu that hits them, with D-rank or below ninjutsu completely drained and thus negated. Though they are not much heavier than normal. Their physical strength increases by 350%, in other words, remains the same as at Stage I, but they do not lose their natural speed or agility.
    • Stage III: The third and final stage of Jade Form, it makes the reaver more human-looking than they normally are, though it only means that their scaly skin becomes plain human to the touch and in appearance. However, this form is still visible by transparent energy, which has the same color scheme as the scales of the reaver in previous form, that surges around them. While they appear the least protected, it is quite the opposite in actuality. All damage a reaver in this form takes is reduced by 40%, weaker physical attacks are completely negated and they drain 25% of the chakra from enemy ninjutsu that hits them, with C-rank or below ninjutsu completely drained and thus negated. They weigh actually a little bit less than normal, because their skin losses thickness and is no longer made of chitin while retaining its light defensive qualities, of the force behind each attack, meaning their movement cannot be changed forcefully. The reaver's physical strength increases by 400% in this stage, meaning it stays the same as at Stage I and II, but their speed and agility increases 25%.

Clan Jutsus:

  • Name: Shape Shift: Reaver
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: D
    Requirements: None
Description: A technique shared by all Cursed to some extent, it allows one to transform into animals or other forms. Only letting the user transform into small, unsuited for combat animals at first, this technique grows in power as the one with the Blood does. When transforming into an animal, the user gains all of the animal's traits. The transformation is performed at will.
Unlike the other Cursed, reavers can transform into lizards or turtles, which are not mammals. While better protected, they have less attack options. Starting at relatively small sizes, the transformed forms grow to abnormally large, roughly equivalent to a tiger lizards and turtles by
A rank. At S rank, they grow even bigger, lizards get hard scales and turtles get spiked shells. At SS rank their size increases even more, the turtle's shell becomes densely covered in large spikes and lizards also get small spikes on their scales. Pure Blood reavers gain another ability which is accessed through this technique and is pretty much the focus of the Curse: Jade Form

  • Name: Cursed Summoning: Reaver
The reavers' summons are known as "animates" or "constructs". Since the term may be confusing to some, they are also referred to as gargoyles or golems, basically the same thing, only gargoyles possess wings and the ability to fly. For people unfamiliar with these terms either, the animates are creatures made of normally inanimate materials, usually humanoid for the most part. Summoning gargoyles are often very close in appearance to those that can be found as decorative statues. However, greater constructs can be more than just metal or rock figures who know basic actions, but none of them seem to have real conscience, being more machines controlled by the summoner's will than summoning creatures. They can be of any class, both group and solo, but all of them are pretty strong because it isn't particularly easy to damage even wood. While usually relying more on their great defense and strength, some constructs can be agile, though that would inevitably leave them less protected and with vulnerable joints.

  • Name: Carapace
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: C
Requirements: Pure Blood; unusable in Jade Form
Description: This is a defensive technique that takes advantage of the reaver's natural scales. By sending some chakra into them, the Cursed is able to enhance their defensive properties for a short while. This technique becomes more potent as the user grows in power, and its appearance also changes slightly. At B rank the scales become rather defined, turning into real organic armor with jagged edges, though it does not tear the clothes; they are now able to stop weaker projectile and melee attacks. At S rank the scales grow tougher and bigger, requiring specially designed clothes to be worn, unless you want to end up naked; they provide considerable defense against physical attacks.

  • Name: Jade Armor
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: A
Requirements: Pure Blood; unusable in Jade Form
Description: An advanced defensive technique, it makes the reaver's scales larger and turns them green like jade by using chakra inside them. The defense it provides is on the same basic level as the highest level of carapace, meaning it makes good protection against physical attacks, but it also works against ninjutsu and even restores 20% of the chakra from the attacker's ninjutsu to the Cursed. Interestingly, this armor seems to be especially effective against vampire's Evil Release and similar techniques based on harnessing a "dark" power.

  • Name: Jade Tomb
    Type: Ninjutsu
    Rank: S(Kinjutsu)
    Requirements: Pure Blood
Description: After forming several hand seals, the user's hands will glow green. They will then attempt to hit the enemy with an open palm, and if it connects, the target will be encased in a jade crystal. The one who is hit with this jutsu will be completely trapped, with most likely zero escape options, but the user must keep their hand in place for the crystal to hold together. In addition to heavy pressure damage to their whole body, the trapped enemy's chakra will be drained and given to the Cursed, but the latter will also start taking damage soon after the technique is started, small jade crystals growing into their arm and dealing internal damage.
This Technique can only be held for three posts, before the damage becomes intensive to the user, five posts before the user will be unable to hold it at all.

The Credit should go to Minato-kun, he was the one who wrote this up, all I did was post it here, and look it over, People who helped and possibly added to this are Fegte, Kinzo, and gold members, Ballian gave permission to Minato-kun to start work on this, and AJ has looked it over, and said that it is acceptable, I just want people's help in making this more balanced if need be, and possibly helping with possible tweaks.

PM's to staff is acceptable.
