Ryo heard the announcement and cursed to himself silently. As he finished listening and made a few more incoherent curses and put his legs together, hobbling around like a fool. He watched as Mashimizu formed the whip of water and yawned a bit, watching as he sent the whip to his leg. Ryo jumped over it easily, handsealing in mid air. As he handsealed, he managed to finish the seals by grabing his blade and gathering his chakra. He unsheathed the blade and the jutsu was finished, making 2 clones, Ryo himself being on one side and covering the possible exits for him. As he came down from mid-air, they all slashed they blades in different directions, one being the side, one the head, the other at the legs. The only way for him to escape would be to turn himself into liquid or something, from what Ryo knew, Mashimizu didn't have that ability.

As the clones appeared in front of Mashimizu, his first reaction was attack one of them. But they were already coming his way. Just as he saw the 'poof' that was the bunshin activating him snapped his whip at one of them, before abandoning his whip. He didn't have time to check if he actually hit one. He rapidly did a few hand seals and waited for the attack which was almost instantly after he hand finished. The swords came from all sides impaling his body, or what rather, what was in its place. Again, he had replaced himself with the cactus. This god damn rule is starting to piss me off. He stood behind Ryo, where the cactus had been. He wasn't able to do much except dodge at this point. And if with that he was cutting it very close. Again, he jumped to the to the water, and formed another wipe, this time it was only five feet long. He jumped back to the island and awaited his attackers next move. _________________

Ryo saw as the boy came back to the island and he smiled, looking at him rather carelessly. As he finished smiling, he handsealed, finishing the seals off and beginning a jutsu. As the jutsu was finished, Ryos blade began to shrink, looking smaller and smaller as time went. It didn't disappear, but it was noticeably shorter. As he finished, he picked the blade up, which now looked similar to a katana, and sent chakra to his legs, jumping at Mashimizu. He swung in a spiral motion, sending his blade low to the feet at a distance that seemed too far for his blade.

Confusion struck Mashimizu as the sword shrank slightly. He didn't know what the point of this jutsu was but he two ideas. It was either smaller for speed or it was a genjutsu designed to confuse the opponent. But Ryo didn't give him enough time to make up his mind. Ryo dashed at Mashimizu attempting to slash at his feet. The seemed to be to short to reach him, but Mashimizu stepped back a few feet just in case. He took an extra precaution and again made a blinding flash of light as Ryo approached. But that didn't stop the blade. The sword he couldn't see swept in front of his feet. It came so close that it sliced a few hairs off Mashimizu's leg. He jumped way back after he felt the tickle of the almost lethal sword. "That's a cheap trick" He mocked, concluding that the technique Ryo had just used was a genjutsu. He knew of no other techniques that could do such a thing as what just happened. Due to the rule that was placed before the exam, Mashimizu knew this was a weak genjutsu, and therefore, due to his new skill, he would be able to break out of it easily. He distanced himself far enough that he could react quickly to any type of attack Ryo could do. He watched Ryo carefully as he focused on disrupting his chakra. As he did, the sword returned to its original state. He stopped and his chakra returned to its normal state. He jumped towards Ryo so they were about fifteen feet apart. Slowly he began bouncing chakra back and forth between is outstretched hands, waiting for Ryo's next move.

Description: This is an advanced skill for breaking genjutsu, however, no shinobi should be without it. It allows one to break illusions without hurting themselves, does not require any hand seals and works against stronger techniques than Kai. Since every genjutsu in essence is the opponent confusing one's five senses by interfering with their chakra flow in a specific way, momentarily stopping your chakra flow completely and then reversing it, which is what this skill is about, can break theoretically any illusion. Naturally, one's skill in controlling their chakra determines how well this will work.
Allows one to break a genjutsu of S rank or below. For the lower rank characters, genjutsu of A rank or below take one whole post to break, while genjutsu of S rank take two posts. For higher rank characters, genjutsu of A and S rank take a whole post to break, while genjutsu of B rank and below take half a post. Kinjutsu genjutsu require twice as much time, though only higher rank characters can break A rank kinjutsu, and none can break S rank kinjutsu.

Description:Chakra is "bounced" between the hands of its user causing a sudden flash of bright light. This does no physical damage to a ninja who is it with it.The ninja who uses it is not blinded becauses the light always flashes outward. Any ninja behind the user is safe. Any ninja in front, up to 20feet, of the user is temporarly blind(10-12 seconds).If used multiple times,this jutsu can cause retina burns which are easily fixed by eyedrops. This can also be used as a rescue beacon if nessacery.
Ryo saw as the boy jumped back and attempted the same trick again, to blind him. Ryo, being full of common sense, put his blade up as a mirror to reflect the bright light. He was doubtful that it would blind him, but it was all he had at the moment. He watched as the light began to spark out and sent his blade up quickly, protecting his eyes, but putting himself in a blind spot if he dashed in. When the light had ended, Ryo hand sealed downward, putting one hand down to the side while he held the other hand with his blade. He watched as water formed a whip of water in his hands and extended it a little by forcing chakra into it. As he did this, he whipped it back, hearing a sloshing sound, then a crack, then he jumped to Mashimizu, sending the whip to his leg to trip him.

Description: Chakra is generated to the hands and then shot forward in a stream of energy. Under normal conditions it has a diameter of 1ft and a range of 20 feet. How ever some have made them with a 2 Ft diameter and range of an 1/8 of a mile.( must be Jounin) The attack locks the muscles and causes first degree burns. Also causes damage to the surrounding area.
Almost immediately after he had dispelled the jutsu, Ryo jumped at him. He had barely anytime time to attack. In one hand he mimicked Ryo by forming his own water whip. However, in his other hand he concentrated his lightning chakra into his fingers feeling the surge of electricity as he did. Ryo flung the whip at Mashimizu, aiming for his legs. As Ryo let the whip out, Mashimizu sent his own out, heading directly for the arm holding the Mizukami. He wasn't intending to lash out just yet, but wait until Ryo swung the sword, if he would. Finally the announcement he had been waiting for echoed through the island. Mashimizu quickly jumped over Ryo's whip just as it was about to hit his feet. He landed right in front of Ryo. Mashimizu concentrated the lightning chakra surging in his hand and shot a bolt of lightning directly at Ryo's chest. "Give up" he whispered as he did.
