Ryo flicked his hair once, sending the droplets from his head, then turned around saying, "Yo..." He said to him with a smile on his face, "What brought you here? Was it Mashimizu?" He looked up at the clouds that were now running out of water and dissipating, killing off the last bit of the rainbow with it. He looked down at the water puddles that pooled on the ground where he stood. There was enough water for a good battle to take place between a water ninjutsu user, but not two. Mashimizu looked at him. Half of him shocked, the other harmlessly envious. Did you make the clouds? He asked, but he obviously knew the answer. No you idiot, the clouds appeared out of nowhere, then it rained shuriken...not a bad idea actually. Mashimizu had this little problem, whenever he thought about something for more then a few seconds, his facial expressions match whatever it is he is think. For example, right now Mashimizu had a inquisitive look on his face. Realizing what was going on, he shook his head. ...Sorry...Anyways. Do you think you could teach me how to do that? Ryo smirked and said to him, "Sure, makes sense to me. First lets go to the bridge, there's lots of water there." He started walking towards the bridge. He would have his first student and he would be learning from his student at the same time. This was yet another paradox, where two opposite things coexist in the same reality. Since when has a teacher needed teaching from a student? In this case, neither was the teacher from what Ryo could guess. They both were students. Description: A more advanced technique than Kinobori, it allows one to walk on water or other similar liquid or amorphous objects. It is used in a similar fashion to its predecessor, but the shinobi must also release a constant flow of chakra into the water to keep themselves on its surface. It is often used as advanced chakra control training, since it takes the same basic concept as tree climbing technique and kicks it up a notch.
Mashimizu followed Ryo until he finally reached a bridge. He looked down at the massive body of water bellow them. Nice spot. I guess I'll teach you first. By focusing his chakra into his feet, he was able to easily walked down to the water, from there more chakra was channeled until he water onto the water. So I'm assuming you already know the Art of Tree Climbing? It's very similar to that, if not almost the same. All you really have to do is channel chakra into your feet. The only difference is, you have to keep channeling it. Or else you'll fall in. He told Ryo, trying his best to sound clear and useful. _________________
Ryo watched as he walked onto the water and walked to the sore, looking down at it. He stuck one foot on it and put chakra into the water. He felt his foot seemingly 'grip' the water and he pulled his other foot from the ground. As soon as his other foot was released, he fell in, splashing about. He swam to the shore and came out, flicking the water from his hair and grunting angrily. IC: Mashimizu didn't laugh at Ryo falling in. That would be arrogant, something Mashimizu hated about others. Instead he smiled and tried to keep Ryo's confidence up. "Just gotta keep trying. Remember, if you don't keep a constant flow, it won't work. It's not like a solid object, that's why." He liked being able to help out someone in need, it felt good. Plus that fact that he would get a new jutsu out of it was just an added bonus. Mashimizu decided to improve his skills on the same subject. Since he had just learned the jutsu, he didn't know how well he could run, jump, etc. Only, he didn't want to be seen as showing off. So whenever Ryo wasn't looking or not pay him attention, Mashimizu would hop and run around. _________________
Ryo took another step onto the water and felt the water below his feet. He wobbled around on one foot, before stabilizing himself and standing. He forced chakra into the water and stood on it, lifting his back foot up. He put his other foot down on the water and stabilized himself, feeling his foot slowly slide into the water. He lost his footing and fell backwards into the water, plunging deeply. He pulled his eyes open and felt the water around him. He swam to the top, putting his head above water and shook the water off in little drops. He continued forcing chakra into his feet soles as he began to walk onto the water. He could feel the waves under his feet and only had one foot on the water. As he removed his other foot from the shore, he kept his balance, walking along the surface of the water. He wobbled a little bit but managed to keep his balance and took another step. He was too busy trying to keep his balance and forgot about chakra control, making him fall in straight down. He closed his eyes as he plunged beneath the water. He swam underneath the water, opening his eyes. He stood straight up, looking at his reflection in the water. He pulled his hair from his face and forced chakra into the soles of his feet again. He took a step onto the water and didn't wobble this time. He had gotten use to the waves now, realizing that water wouldn't be steady. He walked along the water, feeling his feet slowly sliding into it and under the surface. He forced a bit more chakra in and kept himself above the water. He walked around and tried jumping. He couldn't get himself to jump though. Ryo was used to this now and could run at full-speed across the water now. He was able to sprint, slide, and do much more things on water. He could even jump now. He ran in circles around Mashimizu and said, "So you wanted to learn that rain thingy right?" He had written the information on it in a scroll that was to be put away soon. He was going to show it just to him before archiving it. They would be the only two who knew it, anyone else would have to ask Ryo personally. He liked the thought of being incharge of a jutsu, an important one at that. He stopped running and slid on his feet, awaiting the answer.
