That still doesn't make any sense. Basically, here's a simulated battle. Kikina has a Barrier on, which nulifies 100 damage. He/She then takes the Barrier off, and finds out that her own Defense is greater than the defense of the Barrier. How is that Reasonable?

Also, I've never seen that. Maybe because I never played DnD but, I doubt it's possible. So, you sacrifice your defense to raise your attack but, you still have high defense?(Since counter-attacking is defense and not offense)

I could understand if it sacrificed defense to make your attack stronger, but, the mere fact that she takes no damage whatsoever from swords is just uncanning.

Nono, Kikina still would take the damage from sword cuts- the full force of it, including the lowered defense. It just hurts the attacker as well. I don't really think of counter-attacking as raising your defense... and if it usually does, this one doesn't.

Even so, it raises attack and still makes your defense better. Counter-attacking has to do with Reflex, which is a combination of Speed AND Defense if you get down to the middle of it.

Alright, fuck it. I'll just prove my point by battling you. Also, be more punctuate with your ability description.

IC: It was a humid afternoon in ACDC Town. The schools had just rung the bell and all the kids of the town was loose to do anything they want. One kid, or young man, a high school student at that, had only one thing on his mind. And that, was Netbattling. At the Arcade, several Netbattlers gathered around, few battling and others are trading chips or talking about Net viruses they may have encountered. Walking to a computer, Jamaro took out his wireless PET.

"Plug In, Ryu, Execute!" he said, sending his Net Navi into the Internet. "So, anybody feel like challenging me to a battle today?" he said, asking around to see if anyone out there was ready for him and his Navi. Jamaro had a stunning record, so the common Net battler in town would be a bit uneasy on challenging him. Jamaro, find someone quick or I'm plugging out. Ryu said, impatient on waiting for Jamaro. "Yeah, yeah, whatever." he said, scanning the room for anyone. Perhaps somebody new in town would be more quick to make a challenge towards him?

OOC: We can battle normal or with panels like in the Battle Network games, your pick.

OoC: I changed it. I made the defense thing a seperate power. I guess normal for now. If it doesn't work, we could go to Panel. I don't know if you were understanding. Kikina doesn't attack herself. It's like a white beam shoots out to deal damage when Kikina's hit. But anyway, I seperated the two.

IC:
Serin had a normal day in school, except for one thing: People were starting to leave her alone about her hair and eye colours. That wasn't a bad thing, but it still seemed quite nice. When the final bell rang, Serin walked calmly out of the school, not rushing out like the other elementary kids. Her Navi spoke to her after school, "Hey, Serin, why don't we try to NetBattle? You have some decent chips, and maybe we can make some new friends. It doesn't matter if you win, you know. But if you do, you could get famous, maybe like MegaMan and Lan?" Serin had to smile at that. "I don't think so, Kikina... but maybe it'd be good, anyway..." Coming from Yumland, her first few weeks here had been slightly confusing to find her way around. However, she at least knew the basic areas now, including the Arcade where NetBattles took place.

Serin entered the NetBattling area, and looked around. She saw many people already fighting, but there was one who was alone. The man looked somewhat familiar, but she didn't know his face, really. After all, she was quite new to NetBattling as a whole. "Kikina... what about him? He's by himself, with nobody to fight..." she told her Navi. "Sure! Maybe we could become his friend, too!" Serin smiled and nodded, making her way over to the man. "Hello..." she said. She didn't know why, but she felt slightly intimidated by this man. Maybe because he was so much older? "I-i'm new to this... so please, don't go to hard on me... I had to make this Navi from scratch, since my parents couldn't afford one..."

"Program, Kikina.EXE, activate!" she said, as she jacked her Navi into the Net. Once in, Kikina looked around the Net. "Mr. Navi?! We'd like to challenge you!" Kikina shouted out. Who knew where he was...

OOC: Both of your Powers and even your Battle chips are based on if we were battling with HP? Are we or are we not?

Also, are you sure, you want to do normal style. If so, I'll have to take the time out to describe the arena we're fighting in, seeing how in the anime, it was just a blank space.

IC: "A kid?" Jamaro said, scanning Serin with his eyes. "You're half my size kid but, a challenge is a challenge. Sure, let's battle on the count of 3." The young man walked over to the keyboard panel of the battle computer, punching in a few keys to start the clock for the battle. "Alright, the battle will start in 30 seconds, kid."

"I-i'm new to this... so please, don't go to hard on me... I had to make this Navi from scratch, since my parents couldn't afford one..." Serin said, shaking, and possibly nervous of Jamaro. "Look, don't be afraid. Just do your best. It's anyone's battle, who knows you might beat me in less than a minute." Jamora said comforting her. Though, then something she said had popped to his attention. Programmed...herself? Jamaro said to himself. Normally, not everyone has a Navi, and most people have generic or normal-model Navi's. It's very uncommon to find someone so young who can program Net Navi's. That's rare, very rare. She must be tough, I better not let up on her.

"Ryu, stay on your toes."

Rodger!

In the Cyber world, both of the Net Navi's entered a cyber arena that was programmed and designed to be just like an American Football field. Though, the turf wasn't cyber-grass wasn't the same Grass you could find with the Grass Stage battle chip. "Mr. Navi?! We'd like to challenge you!" Kikina said, negotiating a challenge with Ryu. Though, for some reason she couldn't locate him. Suddenly, from behind her, he appeared out of nowhere. Hello Ryu said, greeting Kikina. Though, it was a bit stuck up and rude. Alright, Jamaro, let's get this battle on the road. the Ninja Navi said, calling out to his operator. "You're anxious, aren't you?" the boy said, sarcastically.

On the clock, there was only 10 seconds left until the battle could officially start. "Let's get this show on the road!" Jamaro said, anxious to let some steam off from a tiring day at school with this battle. The Clock then slowly drop, going down by one each time. Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three, Two....One."Ryu, Battle Routine.....Set."

Execute!"

And with that, the bell rung, and the battling between Kikina.EXE and Ryu.EXE begun.

OoC: I agreed to HP use. It makes it easier to judge who's defeated. If we wouldn't use HP, my Recov chips could be just normal energy? Anyway, I was asking before about the battle type itself. So we're using health, and battling normally. Remember, I don't know much about Megaman myself- just from the games I've played. And are the WWW going to be in this? Or are going to have a tournament like they did in Battle Network 3 (I think)?

IC:
Serin nodded to the man, although her mind wasn't so sure she'd win. In fact, she was sure she'd lose, going against someone who she thought was quite used to NetBattling. She also wondered what he thought of her. After all, she had a slight accent, to which the man might be able to attribute to the Yumland area. When they jacked into the terminal, she found herself smiling. Maybe because she thought that they might have fun, even if they lose. And at the very least, she'd learn something about NetBattling. When Kikina heard the voice behind her, she turned around to face him. His greeting didn't seem very nice, but she just shook her head. "Well, our first Netbattle against another Operator. I don't know how well this is going to go..."

Serin started to fidgit a little as the Countdown got down to the last Seconds. "Kikina..." Serin said Quietly. "Yeah?" Kikina responded. "You know what to do if I can't do anything, right?" she asked the Navi. The Navi nodded back. "Yeah, don't worry." Serin nodded. She looked back up at the man in front of her. "Eheh..." she gave a small, nervous laugh, "Wish myself luck..." When she said that, she did a double tap on a part of the battle computer. She didn't give an explanation, but it was the old adage of "knocking on wood."

When the battle started, Serin changed her attitude- slightly. "Kikina, Set Battle Routine. Execute!" Kikina got into a defensive stance, bringing her left arm up, so it looked like her arm cut across her chest area. Her left hand was by the right side of her mouth area, and her left elbow was at the left side of the waist. Her right arm was extending, bent slightly. If you had to guess the angle, it would look like a 120 degree angle, making the arm the sides and the elbow the vertex. Her right foot was placed slightly forward, and Kikina's legs were bent slightly.

"Slot in!" Kikina said, exitedly, but quietly. Kikina's right arm turned from her normal arm into a thin, firey sword. They had used the "Fire Swrd" chip. Kikina was waiting for the other Navi to make the first move, just to see what they were up against.

OOC: Read what I said in the beginning pages about what I said about the storylines. We're just Rp battling to test out what's going on. To be honest, there's no real story we could implement into for a group of roleplayers seeing how Megaman games are based on one character. Not unless we do what they did in Battle Network 5.

Also, if you've played BN3, then you've done well. You should know as much as you need to know to get through this battle. And when I say, Panels, I mean like how they fought in the game with Panels.

Finally, I need to lay some grounds rules. Since we're going to battle with HP, we'll both start out with 500 HP each. We are both entitled to a normal weapon, which is a blaster.(every Navi in the game has one) With a normal shot, a Blaster can only do 1 damage but, charged(Taking up 1 turn/post) it can do more. (60 Damage is the maximum) Type advantages DO take place, and only do Twice as much damage but, they cannot be lowered.

Please edit your template with how much damage your Battle Chips and Weapons do and what not.

IC: "Fire Sword?" Jamaro said, pondering over the girls choice of Battle chips. Was it coincidence that a Fire battle chip would be her first choice for this battle or was this going to be a fluke? "Ryu, stay on your toes. This Navi isn't your ordinary Net Navi. If we're going to win, we're going to have to use Speed." Jamaro's plan wasn't exactly a sure proof way towards winning but, it was resourceful, and the best battle plan they could come up with in a few minutes. He had said the commands directly to Ryu, so that hopefully Serin wouldn't over hear their commands.

Ryu watched Kikini, as she didn't make any moves against him, waiting to see if Ryu would counter-attack. Wrong move Ryu said to himself, his mouth smirking underneath his mask. Suddenly, he disappeared, his movements so fast that it seemed as if he moved as a blur. Though, he didn't turn invisible, instead, he merely jumped high into the sky. Looking up, Ryu can be seen in the sky. "This is a battle, as in war. Giving me the chance to attack can cost you the fight. Blaster, Fire!" Ryu said, his right arm changing from his fist, to a blaster. Then, he fired 3 shots towards Kikina. They weren't very powerful but, they would do hurt his foe if they hit, nonetheless.

(Blaster does 3 Damage)

Ryu's HP: 500

OoC: Okay then. Let's stay like this for now. And I have something to point out. There's many things that are Rp'ed off of (And some are really good) that have only one main character. It wouldn't be that hard. We'd just have to NPC the Canons (most likely by you). It wouldn't be that hard to me.

IC:
Kikina didn't hear what the guy was saying, but she knew he was saying something. "Watch out Kikina! Something's up!" she told the Navi. She didn't know the literal meaning behind her phrase, even as she said it. She hoped she could at least do some damage to the guy. He obviously knew what he was doing.

In the battle, Kikina heard what Serin told her. She kept a close eye on the Navi in front of her, but then, the Navi seemingly disappeared. Instictively, she looked up, and saw him prepare to attack. Even as she attempted to dodge, she got slightly disorted in some areas, and didn't move. "Damn," she whispered to herself, and felt the three blaster shots hit her. Jeez. To act up at a time like this, she thought It wasn't that she was mad at Serin for the programming; actually, Kikina was surprised that she didn't do that more. After all, her programmer was only 9 years old. However, she still had her FireSwrd activated on her left hand. That meant that she could still get a steady shot off of her right. "Xerxes, fire!" she said. She quickly took the pistol from her side pouch on her leg and attempted to fire at the Navi as it was falling. The shots were barely visible- small lines of red. She shot three times as well, and hoped to hit at least once. She knew that her weapon was of the fire element, but what she didn't know was that the opposing Navi was of the Wood element. After all, she didn't really know the opposing Navi at all.

Up in the real world, she looked up at the guy opposing her. "May I ask you something... how long have you been NetBattling or Virus Busting? This is my first Net Battle, and I've done very little Virus Busting..." she turned back to the screen, whether he answered or not. She needed to keep concentrated on the battle at hand, or she'd Lose for sure. Without looking up, she also asked, "Lan lives in this city, doesn't he... Where is he...? I'd like to meet him, at least once..." Her voice held a tone that seemed slightly embarrassed- almost like she had a crush on him.

OOC: Well if it isn't that hard to you, why don't you be in charge of it? You haven't explained to me exactly How I could do it if it's so easy. (We're talking about the storyline, right?)

Also, make sure to post how much HP you have at the end of every post.

And one more thing, how can a normal blaster have Fire element? I'm asking because in the anime, manga and in the game, no one was able to use a normal buster with an element. Uh, whatever, you never stated that but, it's cool. Ryu is technically, Wind but, I put Wood to give a Type advantage. So I guess it would be double the damage.

OoC: Sorry. Yeah, it's suppposed to be non-elemental. My bad. ^.^'' Like I said, just NPC the WWW users. If we get more people, some of them could be WWW people as well. You just say the WWW is back, and is hosting another "Tournament." Since this is long enough afterwords (I think), not many people would expect them. Then the players could help defeat the WWW. Something like that.

And sorry about the damage thing.

"Dang..." Serin said quietly. She didn't expect him to move, but then again, she was slightly behind with the times, too. She went back to the battle, where Kikina was taking some damage. She didn't know if she could win against this seasoned veteran, but she would still try. After all, she might get beginners luck, right?

Back in the battle, Kikina shook her head. She knew what she was doing, but apparently, the Navi in front of her wasn't going to let her off easy. "Kikina! Battle routine, Change! Flare Blitz Mode, activate!" Serin told her Navi. Kikina nodded, taking the 5 damage from the Blaster. She closed her eyes and concentrated. A red aura surrounded her, showing that something was going on. "Shall I use the next move?" Kikina asked Serin. Serin shook her head. "Not quite yet, no. Wait until an oppurtune time." Kikina nodded again, and went into a defensive stance. With lower Defense, she needed to be able to dodge more. She couldn't afford to get hit. Up above, Serin also put in a chip, but didn't activate it yet. She needed to wait for the right time...
