Waves on the RiverOOC: I will be learning

Requirements: None
Description: The user focuses their chakra to the soles of their feet and step onto the water. From the surface of the liquid, they would then need to be able to measure the amount of chakra it would take to support their weight along the surface of the water without sinking. Once this is mastered, the user would be able to easily walk on water. |
Some to help me with Water Walking training will be highly appreciated.
IC: Chouso awoke in the early morning, his ears perking up to take in the birds chirping. He gets up slowly and allows his eyes to adjust as he wonders into his bathroom. He runs warm water, takes a bath and does his other hygienal things. In a fresh new robe, he grabs some prepares some rice. He'd normally would eat left overs, but today he want all the energy he could get. Before now he had focused on his swordplay and had rejected his water control, for the most part anyway. He finished his food and heads out the door, firmly tying his sheath.
He heads deep into the forest, to a rather large river. "Suiton," he approaches it making the tori sign. The water ripples a bit and comes up a little to surround him when he steps ankle deep into it. "Shame I should already know how to do this." he focuses chakra into his feet and his left foot raises. "No," he readjusts his chakra and his feet swift in such a way he falls over. Soaked, he gets up and shakes off the excess water in the way a cat would.

Deciding to take a break from her med nin training, Reileyn Itichi found herself along with her nekomata, Kirara, wondering around the village. They came to the river and saw a young genin standing there, "Hey Kirara, think I should say anything to him." She meowed at her friend telling her to let him learn a couple of times. After watching the boy Reileyn couldn't watch anymore. She smirked holding back a laughter, "Hey kid, you need some help!" She shoved her long red hair back behind her, her red eyes looking at the boy. Kirara jumped on her shoulder as the nekomata swayed her two tails back and forth.

Chouso turns around with a menacing look in his eye, "Who you calling a kid?" His tail flicks, and his hand goes to his weapon. He considers attacking her to show his prowlness with the sword, but decides against it. He observes his opponent. Unless she's purposely trying to throw him off, she is no more than a chuunin. "I suppose I'd appreciate help, but I don't appreciate being insulted. There's a first time for everything." He walks over to her, his leg movement so minor it appears like he's floating over to her. He extends his hand, "I'm Chouso Kaichio, I'm a swordsman that just joined this village."

Reileyn smiled, "Sorry about that. But yeah I can help you. Let's get this started. What do you think you are doing wrong?" Kirara meowed as she looked at Chouso. Reileyn had her arms crossed as she looked at the boy, "My apologies I am Reileyn Itichi. Sister to the Otokage." She smiled softly holding her scythe at her one side while taking his hand, "This is Kirara, my families cherised Nekomata." She smiles softly, "now show me what you know. I will be watching." She stood watching the boy seeing as to how he would do in the training. He seemed strong enough to learn the techinque but she had to make sure.

"My apologizes," he kisses her hand and bows. "I should've recognized you. Although you being the Otokage's sister doesn't mean you have the any of his skill. But is supposed I'm honored anyway." A small grin crosses his face, "As far as my skill," He jumps a few feet back and slowly draws his katana. He makes a series of wide, sweeping cuts and finishs off with a few spinning slashes. His last rotation end with him sheathing his sword. Then a sudden shine in front of him cuts a couple of leaves in the air.

Reileyn smirked, "Very nice. You are quite skilled Chouso. All right let me teach you water walking then." She nods at him walking towards the waters edge. She sends different levels of chakra to each of her feet. Walking onto the water she walks out towards the middle and smiles at him, "The object of this jutsu is to have different levels of chakra sent to your feet. It will depend on how well your chakra control is but you should be able to do this." Reileyn states as she walks back towards the bank of the river. Kirara meows at her, "Ah yes thank you for reminding me, Kirara says good luck." She smiles at him.

He thinks about the fact the she's the Otokage's sister, thinking how it could help him. If he can get close to her, maybe he could learn some stronger jutsu from the kage himself. "Alright. Let's get this over with, I need to be ready for the exams." He thinks about the fact he should be a chuunin by now. But, unfortunately, nekojin don't use a ranking system that the humans would go by. He approached the river bank slowly. He channeled chakra into his feet. Strolling unto the surface and stepping right through. "What the hell? It's like it's rejecting me!" Chouso says, swimming back to the surface. "Why can't I do such a simple task?" He wipes excess water off himself, Churitsu robes don't absorb much water.

Reileyn smiled at him, "Take your time, Chouso. Have patience. That's the only way you will learn this jutsu." She stated. She laughed at Kirara as she saw that the splash of water had landed on the the nekomata's head. She walked up to him and looked at him, "Look, have concentration. You aren't going to get it right away. Concentration and determination are the keys to learning." She stated looking at the boy. He was not much older then herself, but she say such strength in the boy. She smiled softly as she picked Kirara up, wiping the water off of her head.

"I was concerntrating," he says sighing. He felt he couldn't do this because the water was rejecting him. Rejecting him for not paying attention to his elemental roots. No it shouldn't matter, it's a tool and tools should serve there masters. "Alright," he concerntrates on the water, making it dance about a couple of inchs above the river. He walks into the water and tries to circulate his chakra along with the waves undulating. He stands on it for a few second then takes a few steps. On his third step he sinks into the river once more. He sigh then walk back to where his ankle deep in the water. "I almost got this, I know I do."

Reileyn smiles looking at her nin pet, "yes you do Chouso. Try once more." She smiled at him, knowing that he was quite atoned to the element of water. She smiled softly at him, "Just do what you did one more time but concentrate more. Perhaps put more chakra towards your feet. You should have it." She states looking at him. She smiles knowing that the boy is indeed strong and that he has the capablitiy to learn this. Kirara meows giving him encouragement.

Maybe just maybe I'm going about this wrong, he thought to himself. The water is a tool, but it's still apart of me. He stands there and closes his eyes, taking in the river around him. As he concentrates he can feel the precise lengthen of the river. He felt as if he could almost see out of the part they where standing on. "The water is an extension of my body, just like using a sword." he says alound. Rather than wasting chakra "walking" on it, I'll have It support me, he continues in his thoughts. He starts to float up on the small amount of water he standing in. His slowly walks out until he gets to the deep end. "That was easy," he placed a hand in a pocket on his kimono.

Reileyn smiled at him, "Congratulations Chouso." She smiled at him. Knowing that he would get it in time. She was happy that he completed the task and that he was slowly on his way to being a great shinobi. She stood at the bank waiting for him to return. Kirara meowed congratulating him on his new task.
As she waited for him to return she sat on the ground looking at him, "Hey you know how to tree climb? IF not meet me here in the morning. I will gladly teach you."

Requirements: Learned From A Sensei
Description: The user concentrates onto the soles of their feet and coats them with a layer of chakra. Once this is done, the user will then be able to walk up any tree like they are walking up a regular foot path.

IC: Chouso walks back up to Rei, "Thanks for teaching me, though it seems I may not have needed it." He thought for a minute, "I suppose I'll except your teaching." He bows and turns to walk off. I can't believe how easy that was, he thinks to himself. I'll start using water jutsu to augment his blade techniques. He turns around and walks back up to her. He figured he would take extra advantage of her help. He is an extortionist after all. "You wouldn't happen to know any water jutsu, or forbidden techiques? You are the otokage's sister after all. I could use any edge possible."

Reileyn turns and looks at Chouso, "Well I don't know any water jutsu. My element is fire, and my brother hasn't taught me and forbidden techniques. Sorry." She was wondering why he wanted to learn forbidden techniques. She would have to tell her brother later about the boy. She smiled at him as she turned and left towards the village.
The next morning she sat in a tree waiting for Chouso, "Hey Kirara, Chouso is kind of strong don't you think?" She had tied her hair back and smiled at her friend. Kirara meowed in agreement with her.

Chouso shakes his head, "Too bad. Well I'll see you later." He walks off, going deeper into the forest.
The next day he gets up doing his normal morning routine. It really sucks I'll have to miss the exams this time, he thought to himself. Oh well I'll just become the strongest genin to have come out of this village. He closes his robe and heads out the door. He leaves a bit earlier and goes somewhere different to pratice his Iaijutsu first. About about an hour of training he looks up at the sun, "It's time to me her," he says, and heads to the part of the river Rei is waiting at. "Morning Rei-sama."

Reileyn looked down from the tree at him and smiled, "Hey Chouso. You made it on time." She smiled softly jumping out of the tree. "Well today's lesson is a rather easy one. You will learn Kinibori. It's easier than water walking." She stated distrubuting chakra towards her feet, she takes a deep breath and sighs softly. She starts running up the tree and gets to the very top standing upside down, "All right Chouso if you can make it to the top I will treat you to some dinner." She smiles at him dragging herself onto the branch smiling softly at him. She had a very good feeling that he would accomplish this one faster then the previous day. He was a rather skilled ninja and she saw hope in the boy.

"Well I could make it running..." he says sarcastically, "But to do it the right is another thing." He focuses chakra into his feet and approaches the tree. He slowly walks up the tree and gets up a few feet. Behind him, the bark is singed. After a few seconds, he loses his grip and falls from the tree. He flips in midair, landing on the ground lightly on his feet. This isn't as easy as it looks, he thinks to himself. Well it's just a stupid tree. He focuses chakra into his feet again, trying to even out the chakra. He stops for a minute thinking, about how he could surpass the exams and immediately gain rank.

Reileyn sits on the branch smirking, "Come on you can do it." She smiles at him thinking of how her brother had taught her. It was a rather fun experience and she smiled softly at him. He seemed like her wanting to learn more and more. To become a strong shinobi and suppress his superiors. Kirara meowed giving him courage as he kept on going.
As she sat on the branch she sighed hanging her scyth along the branch, "Come on Chouso, you can make it. Just keep your chakra in control and make sure not to lose your concentration." She stated watching him.

Chouso keep going at the tree, each time slipping off around the same height. "Damnit," he cursed looking up at the tree. He thought back at his childhood in the home village;
"Maybe he won't talk cause he's weak. He can't stand up for himself!" taunts a young member of the Horitsu clan, "If you going to make a name for yourself, stand out!" adds in a Daikonran. This instant, Chouso kicks up a stick lying on the ground. Though young, the boy taunting him where still years older than him. This didn't matter to him. He used the branch and charges them. He slips past thier feeble attempts to defend themselve from the suprise attack. He moves past them and slaps get whelps into their skin. The two boys charge him in return, but he expertly stops them and sends them tumbling on there feet. He would not let anyone or anything bruise his pride.
He nods to himself and presses on, this time getting higher up the tree.

Reileyn watches him and smiles softly at him, "Wow such great stamina." She smiles swinging her legs on the branch. She gives him a thumbs up and smiles, "keep going, you almost got it." She wonders what he did to give him more strength in the ability. She smiled softly brushing her bangs back. The sun was rising higher and the morning was starting to come.
As she watched him she knew that he would be a great chuunin and that he would reach that rank in no time. Though when this was over she knew she had to get back to her med nin training. She still had a ways to go before she truly finished the training.

Perhaps this would been easier if I learned how to water walk normally... he thinks to himself, Oh well. He looks up the tree, Now, what was it my brother told me that day?;
"This is easy," Chouso's brother was all fours, on the side of a tree. He wasn't using his claws, but rather his chakra. "You should learn how to do this." he shouts at Chouso, who was standing on another, lower branch. "It's simple chakra circulation. Just put an equal amount of chakra in each foot and match the tree's density."
Chouso puts his hand up to the tree and sends chakra into it. He starts adjusting the output, trying to find out how much he needs for it to stick firmly.

Reileyn smiled at him, "hey I think he actually has it now Kirara." She smiled at the nekomata, "Come on you can do it. Besides I've got to get back to my own training so lets hurry up." She stated watching him. She was eager to see him finish it but ready to move on to finish her training. She wanted to show her brother that she was ready to be a worthy ninja to protect him.
As she watched him she noticed a look of determination on his face, a look he had never seen on his face since they meet. She was happy to see that he was about ready to take a few steps closer to becoming a chunin

Chouso found a good emanation of chakra, then takes his hand away. He backs up and takes a quick walk up the tree. He goes pretty high, but when he wait for a few minutes, he falls. Quickly righting his trajectory, he lands softly on all fours. Alright, I'll have to get my chakra to continue circulating with little concentration. He focuses himself and looks inwards, picturing his chakra circulatory system. He walks up the tree once more. He get to a hgh branch and waits fifteen minutes, waving to dismiss anything Rei may have to say at that moment. "Alright I got it. Good to train with you." he walks back down the tree. "Maybe I'll see you later." He begins to walk off."
