Modus Operandi:
Primary: Destruction of all obstacles, including Shinobi Villages, that oppose Kirigakure and her alliances. The Seven Swordsmen will serve as an elite assault unit, the firts and foremost line of attack for Kirigakure and her allies.
Secondary: Unification of all five 'Great Shinobi Nations'.

Why would SR get in our way? We're not here to challenge Oto or cause any evil. As long as Oto doesn't plan to attack Kiri, then we're fine.

Looks like Kiri has the SS and Oto has SR. Konoha and Suna are prolly gonna come up with something next.

For some reason people associate SR being allied with Oto.
It's not. Nothing was ever made to ally the group with the state.
There is no alliance.

There are only two things required to be invited, An invite from lieutenant and to fight a seated member for their spot. If the leader or Co-Leader invites you, it's automatic entry, as long as it isn't full.

I guess Takashi will join. He's a Kiri/Jounin who is a Kaguya, so he uses bone blades instead of steel.
