QueryHey, I heard that all E rank Genin get a free C-rank elemental jutsu from their chosen element. Is that true? Might be a stupid question but thought I should check.

When creating a character, your character can auto-learn a C-ranked jutsu which has the element of the village that character is going into. For instance, Kumo - Lightening and Suna - Wind. Other wise, from what I've read, no.

So I'm a fire guy in Suna, assume that means I can't then grab a wind jutsu as my auto?

From what I understand, no, because you have to have the according Element as well. No Fuuton, no Fuuton Jutsus.
