(OOC: The first post will be an introductory post for me.)

Tamotsu, having escaped the oddness that was Blood, Takuto and Lily had found himself alone hidden amongst some trees and sighed. Jaken, his wolf companion had been walking along side him and barked angrily at him.

"What? I know that I don't know many jutus. It's not like it's easy to learn! That's why I have this!"

Tamotsu went into his pants and pulled out a scroll and smiled.

"How to become a Chuunin! 3 Jutsuts to learn and Master!" Tamotsu snickered a bit.

Jaken barked several times disapprovingly.

"What do you mean that's called cheating!? I got this at the library! It's perfectly legeit! It's even Ebisu-approved!"

Tamotsu gave a cheesy thumbs up that made Jaken shake his head and whimper slightly.

Tatsuya having just achieved the rank of a genin, finally feels a brief happiness for a while. He can now began training and be recognized as a shinobi, and gain the strength he needs to feel stronger and become acceptable.

He goes to the memorial where his parents were buried and prays at their grave for a few minutes. He then lifts his head and stares at the gravestones.

"Mother....father...this is for you. I won't let you or anyone else down ever again, nor will i stand idly by."

Just as he made that vow, he notices a boy and wolf run in and sit on the floor. He stares at them noticing the good relationship he has with his wolf, and begins wondering about what it would be like to have a companion.

He turns his head, assuming that he is just a kid wandering around with his dog, and begins to walk on by, until he notices the boy withdraw a scroll. He watches as the boy begins to talk to his companion, and hears him mutter something about "learning a jutsu."

Shy, but yet intrigued, he approaches the boy and his companion and asks him about the scroll.

"Excuse me, I hope you don't mind me asking. But i was wondering what was that scroll you were holding."

Tamotsu jumped up and looked at the new comer. In his fright, he accidentally sent the scroll flying upwards. His eyes shot open with fear and thoughts of death. He knew that the scroll was his way of learning at the moment. He positioned himself under the scroll and caught it, sigh relieved.

"Don't walk in on people like that! You damn near gave me a heart attack! Sheesh. Who are you?"

Tamotsu gave the the younger teen a once over. He looked at the scroll and grimaced.

"It's a training scroll. It'll help teach me how to climb trees. I was gonna start training but if you want you can join me. I don't see it being a problem."

Jaken barked happily and sat down on the floor.

"Jaken likes you. So you must not be all that bad. Heh." Tamotsu laughed a bit as he opened the scroll and began examining it.

Tatsuya laughed....to his surprise not a laugh to cover up his true feelings, but a genuine laugh. "I apologize. Let me introduce myself. Tatsuya Komori. I'm a new genin. Just started today as a matter of..."

Tatsuya cut his sentence short. He noticed that he was tralking to much. It was weird that here it was talking to someone that a few seconds ago he regarded him completely as a stranger, and now he was sharing his name with him. It was an occurence that never had happened to him.

"Was this fate for us to meet like this," Tatsuya thought to himself. He shook his head and looked at the stanger, as he noticed him staring at him strangely.

"Well i was hoping that i might be able to learn that jutsu with you. I know only the basics, and i'm sure that having a partner to practice with you might make it easier on the both of us."

Tatsuya luaghed, a nervous laugh.

Tamotsu nodded and laughed. He opened the scroll up and looked over the contents and sighed.

The first basic one must learn is the ability to climb trees. This ability requires that the user focuses a concentrated burst of chakra to the feet. The difficult thing about this task is that the user must be able to hold the chakra for as long as he can. One begins with focusing with the Ram Hand seal. Begin by doing so and attempt walking up a tree. Test how long you can hold it.

Tamotsu nodded and put his hands together. He closed his eyes and made the ram hand seal. He tried to focus the best he can. Chakra flowed slowly to his feet and they began to glow a soft blue coloring. He opened his eyes and faced a tree. He rand up to it and his legs carried up the tree for a moment. Two steps onto the tree and Tamotsu fell back and landed on a rock which hit his spine.

"GODDAMNIT!" Tamotsu yelled out in pain.

I need to focus better.

Tatsuya watched as Tamotsu tried to climb the tree numerous times. But failed on each occasion. Tatsuya looked down and stared at his hands, as if he was searching for something different on them that he hadn't noticed. This is my first step to becoming a shinobi. This is my first step to being strong. I shall not fail.

Tatsuya clenched his fists and looked straight ahead at his target, the enormous tree. With a determination he had never shown before, he cried out "Here I go!!!" It was a yell that caught Tamotsu and his wolf's attention as they watched him sprint towards the tree at a high speed.

Tatsuya thought he had heard Tamotsu call his name, and cry out something, yet he payed no heed to it. He was in the zone, and he was close to his destination. Tatsuya approached the tree, he stepped one foot on it, and lifted the other for the next step, but never makes it. As the speed and force he used worked together along with gravity to drive him back down to the earth head first he stopped to wonder why he had failed, when he soon learned the answer....

....He had forgotten to make the hand sign.

Tamotsu recovered and sighed.

"This is getting difficult." He returned to the scroll and read it again. As he read he looked at a small disclaimer and read it to himself.

If you are unable to complete this task, regroup and clear your mind. Think of nothing but collecting Chakra to your feet. This may seem improbable but it is possible as many a shinobi can do this. Remember that once you have done so, you must keep a constant flow.

Tamotsu sighed. Jaken looked at him bored at his several tries. He barked and Tamotsu looked at him viciously. "I'm trying to get it!"

Tamotsu closed his eyes and did the Ram hand seal. He cleared his thoughts a moment and collected the Chakra to his feet. He opened his eyes and ran up the tree. He made six steps before losing it and having to kick off the tree. He smiled and nodded.

"Small progress but at least it's something."

Tatsuya gets up and recollects himself, nearly losing his balance upon doing so. He took a deep breath and sat on the cold ground for awhile. he hadn't expected to take a drop like that, let alone for him to feel so much plan. After a few minutes, he finally decided to try again, and upon learning from his mistake, he makes the required ram sign.

"Ok. Let's do it this time." Tatsuya slowly walks towards the tree, relaeasing chakra to his foot right before he attempts his ascension. He places his left foot up first and then his right. Once both feet was off of the ground and onto the tree, he felt a burning sensation creep from his toes up to his shins. He jumped off, somersaulted backwards and landed a few feet away from the tree.

"What was that?" Tatsuya sked himself. Staring down at his feet, he began pondering what was that feeling he had felt. That must of been the feeling of climbing the tree. It's different from walking on level ground, especially since I'm on a vertical base. It's as if the gravity of the Earth changed, and pulled even harder than usual. Does that mean I've used too much or too little chakra though?

Tatsuya looked at the tree, now realizing this was no easy task.

Tamotsu sighed and looked at Tatsuya.

"He's making decent progress. Meanwhile I'm stuck trying to get my stuff together. I need to focus completely. Put hands together..."

Tamotsu closed his eyes and put his hands together.

"...do the Ram seal..." He did as he said. "... concentrate the chakra to your feet..." As he said those words, his feet lit up softly with a small blue glow. "... clear your mind and keep the flow going..." He fell silent for a bit as he began to make more chakra flow. His breathing picked up a bit.

His eyes shot open and he ran forward towards the tree. "1..." he said as one foot touched the tree. "2... 3... 4..." He said as he began climbing the tree quickly. "5... 6... 7... 8..." He strained a bit but pressed forward. "9... 10... gah!" He kicked off the tree and landed on his knee panting a bit hard.

"Okay... I put too much into that." He sighed as he tried to recollect himself.

Tatsuya watched as Tamotsu climbed the tree, making it nearly a third up it's total height.

Wow he's really good at this. Tatsuya thought, while making the ram symbol again during his next run at the tree . If I stick around, maybe I could learn a lot from him. But I don't know if he would want someone like me around. I'll only get in his way. I wish I had someone to show me how to be a better shinobi. If only my....

Tatsuya shook the thoughts out and tried to focus again. Yet upon doing so, he lost his footing. What the--? To Tatsuya amazement, he had walked the tree as he was lost in his thoughts, climbing up to nearly the exact point that Tamotsu had reached. Tatsuya was high up now, and was falling head first towards the ground. Upon instinct, he tucked his head in, and rolled once he felt his body had hit the ground. He let out a short cry in pain. He knew that there would be a bruise where his back had landed, but he was grateful because he knew it could've been a lot worse.

Tamotsu looked at Tatsuya and laughed.

"You okay? This is why they call it training. You gotta take a few rough tumbles. It's apart of the learning process." Tamotsu smiled.

Jaken barked a bit and Tamotsu growled at him.

"I know. I know I shouldn't poke fun. Stop being an instigator." Tamotsu growled ouder to Jaken who yawned.

He closed his eyes once more. He did the Ram seal. He collected Chakra to his feet and ran towards the tree. Up he went counting.

"1... 2... 3... 4... 5... OH CRAP!" He yelled out as he fell backwards on his head. "Owowowow." He said rubbing his head as Jaken barked. "Yea... Yea.... serves me right." He groweld.

He stood up a moment and tried again. He closed his eyes and did the seal. He collected his chakra and opened his eyes. He ran up the tree and began his count while focusing.

"1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10... 11... 12... 13... damn!" He flipped off and landed on the ground.

"Almost." he said softly as he panted again.

Tatsuya thought about what just occured to him. I don't understand. It seems like the harder I try, the harder it is to complete. yet when i wasn't thinking about it at all, it happened almost naturally. Maybe that's the secret. The clearer my mind is and the less I try, the easier it becomes for me. I might as well give it a shot.

"Seal!" Tatsuya cried out, foucusing a fair amount of chakra to his feet until they turned a faint blue. He began climbing the tree, thinking of nothing. he continued climbing, noticing that he was now halfway to the the top of the tree. He continued only a few steps before a caterpillar hanging by a silk thread, passed his face and caught his attention. he turned his head to glance at it, and lost his balance. Upon losing his balance, he kicked the tree where his foot was and scraped off bark where he made it so far and backflipped and landed safely. he looked up thinking to himself Next time it will be higher.

Tamotsu sighed as he rested a bit.

"Doing this repeatedly wears you out tremendously. It requires constant concentration and Chakra flow. If one doesn't have the strength to do it, they might not ever accomplish such a task. There's alot that goes to this. I was nowhere near ready for solo training."

Tamotsu stood up and shook off his fears.

"Ram!" He said as he did the ram seal and began collecting chakra with his eyes open. He concentrated while looking at the tree.

That tree is my only objective right now. I don't care about anything else but that tree.

When he felt suffiecient he ran towards the tree and scaled it. He counted out loud.

"1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10... 11... 12... 13... 14... 15.. 16... 17...!" He kicked off and landed on his knee again and smiled.

"So close... but so far. I got it the next time up." He smiled more.

Tatsuya ran full speed at the tree once more. "Ram!" he said as he made the seal midway towards the tree. He could feel his chakra nearly depleted as he ran up the tree. Each step was like a harder strain on his body, as if all the air around him began compressing itself against him. As he went past his previous mark, he felt as if he had reached his limit. But he was determined to make it to the top. He pushed himself more and more until his body ached with excruciating pain. Still, he pushed himself to the brink of over-exertion. He saw a tree branch large enough to balance himself upon. He wanted to make it to the branch, for to him, it would have meant that his training was a success, and a possible place to rest. He took another step towards his goal but felt something odd was wrong with his left leg. It appered that his leg had locked up, and he was unable to move it. Quickly, he used his right leg to perform a leap and he stretched out his right hand to grab the branch that was above him. He caught it, holding on by his the tips of his fingers. He looked down triumphantly and saw all that he managed to accomplish. Panting, he said to himself "I made it," and upon uttering that with his last breath he lost his grip and began to fall.

Tamotsu sighed and relaxed himself. He noticed Tatsuya fall and laughed to himself.

"You need to rest inbetween runs or else you're gonna kill yourself. Seriously. It's a hard work. Just relax and focus." Tamotsu smiled a bit and then went back to focusing.

"Ram!" He did the hand seal and closed his eyes. He collected chakra into his feet and tried to concentrate long enough. Jaken barked a moment and threw him off. He lost a good of amount of chakra and sighed. He continued to focus and bring the chakra down to his feet.

"I came close the last time. I should be able to make it now. If I do it right, I can make it to the top. Just need to focus."

He opened his eyes and ran forward. He counted.

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23!" He kicked off and landed beside Jaken who barekd a bit happily.

"I have to try it again." Tamotsu said as he stood up panting.

"Ram!" He did the seal once more and focused his chakra. "This time... I have it. I have to have it." He closed his eyes and focused. His feet lit up blue with chakra and he opened his eyes and made another run.

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30! YES!" Tamotsu said as he grabbed the highest branch and swung from it. "Hahaha! I did it, Jaken!" Tamotsu said as he pulled himself up and sat on the branch.

Jaken barked happily and his tail wagged rapidly.

"Ramen! My treat!" Tamotsu said as he kicked off and landed on the ground. "Hey Tatsuya! I'll see ya around. I'm gonna celebrate!" Tamotsu said as he walked off.

Tatsuya layed back eyes facing up towards the darkening sky. He's been in a deep sleep for what seemed like days, but it was really only about an hour. Still, he knew it was becoming late, and he should not be outside around this time. He turned to his side, feeling his head throbbed as he moved. I know that i have to go home soon, or else I'll most likely be scolded again. Tatsuya struggled with himself to sit up, and stared at the tree. He looked around to see if Tamotsu was around, but he could no longer be seen in sight. He wondered if Tamotsu had finally made it to the top. Tatsuya stood up, inhaling the cool air signaling the descent of the sun. "If i quit now, then I'll have to wait to finish this training another time," he said to himself. "There'a no way I'm stalling any longer. I can't afford to waste time." He put his hands together to form the Ram seal, ready to make a final attempt.

"Ram!" Tatsuya yelled as he formed the seal with his hands, collecting his replenished chakra to his feet. In a burst, he ran towards the tree, and started his ascent. He sped towards his previous goal; the large branch that he had grasped earlier before he fell. He felt his muscles begin to ache again, but not as much as it was before. His body has adapted to the pain as he rested, allowing him to go further this time. He reached the branch, grabbed a hold on it, and swung himself upwards to land on it. Both of his feet landed roughly, and he had to use his left hand to keep his balance amongst the branch. He layed up against the sturdy, gigantic trunk and rested. "I made it," he said to himself. He looked up the tree tho and noticed that this branch, as big as it was, was still only about two-thirds of the tree's total height. "But I'm not done yet," Tatsuya said pointing up. He then pointed his hand towards the horizon where the sun was setting and then said "Then I'm going to run from branch to branch until I reach home." He then dropped down onto the ground and readied himself for another run.

Tatsuya made the ram sign, and collected the largest amount of chakra he has ever collected today. He pushed every bit of it down to the very soles of his feet, and felt it burn with a surge of chakra. "Alright. Let's go!" he yelled, as he leap for the tree. Jumping up to an astounding height with so much chakra pumped to his feet, it allowed him to skip a couple of steps had he started from the bottom of the tree. He caught up to that branch he marked as an original goal before, but decided to bypass it this time. Since he already conquered it, he felt he needed to do more. A few more steps later, he arrived at a similar branch, yet it was twisted as if it had grown irregularly. He attempted to jump on this branch, but because it was heavily covered it moss, the surface was slippery. he slid off, and once again started falling towards the ground. He stared at the fast approaching ground in dismay, but decided to himself it wasn't going to happen to him this time. He used his right foot to kick off the trunk of the tree, and pushed himself off towards an adjacent tree. He caught one of the branches and swung himself upwards. He continued to grab branch after branch lifting himself upwards with each one. Eventually, he was able to see the top of all trees, and he also notice the fast approaching sunset. "It's late. I have to get home" he said, and he began making his way back.
