Mountain HomeNushi appeared back home with Goh in tow. He was getting a bit tired from using so much chakra. First, he had traveled to the Fire country with Shunshin, then controlled a lot of stones, then created four stone walls, then used shunshin again to come home with one other person. That amount could even take a toll on him.
"So, my new apprentice," he said to the kid. "My name is Nushi, the Stone Master, and you are going to be my heir. When I die, everything here will be yours. I will teach you everything I know. You will become a very powerful ninja, as I said, perhaps stronger than me. But first, I need to know your name and origins."
|
Goh The Crow
|
Goh arrived at the mountain home with the dark man. First, he looked around the cave which was well stacked, also with a fresh water pool. He turned around to gaze at the dark man who just uncovered his name and purpose. Now it was Goh's turn to reveal his name and origins and so he spoke.
"First I would like to thank you for taking me under your wing. As for my personal information, I only know my name as Goh "The Crow". All of my past was somehow erased. I would gladly inform you of my origins if only I knew myself. Begin the training whenever you wish. A real warrior is always ready. I specialize in Stealth. Taijutsu and Ninjutsu is what I can easily deal with."
He was glad to be taken into training, whatever path may that lead. Knowing his past was one of his primary "missions" but gaining a master to teach from was useful.

Nushi smiled broadly. This was the first time he had been truly happy since his parents had died. This guy would be perfect as a Taijutsu and Ninjutsu user. "Well, I can see already that Banjaku made a wise choice. He even says he'll let you wield him when I die, which is high praise. The last person who tried to touch him other than me got a large number of serious burns."
He thought for a second before continuing. "I will teach you the basics after I have tested you to make sure you can do as I wish. I will first teach you to listen to the stone and control it to some extent. At your level of power you might not be able to do much, but you will get stronger and gain more control. First, you must meditate, feel the stone all around you. Eventually, you will be able to hear it talking. Faintly at first, but it will grow louder as you progress. Now, begin."
|
Goh The Crow
|
Goh listened faithfully. He was also kind of happy because he would grow stronger by Nushi's side. Upon hearing the instructions, he got himself into a meditation position. Doing this once before, it wouldn't of have been too hard. The training began.
Everything around Goh was silent, not even the faintest of sounds could be heard. He cleared his mind and pictured a moving piece of stone in his head. As the cave was made out of stone, he had a easier path of concentrating. Slowly but efficiently, he began to feel it.

Nushi could tell the genin was forcing himself to feel, and would never get anywhere with that. "You can't force it. You must let the voice, or voices to be more acurate, of the stone come to you. At first you will have to really relax to hear them, but eventually you will hear them as white noise all the time. Once you hear the voices, just listen, even if you cannot discern words. It is very difficult at first, and even at my level it was difficult to hear them at will. Breathe deeply, in and out, in and out, in and out. Attain a state of complete harmony."
|
Goh The Crow
|
As Nushi spoke, Goh opened his eyes and put his attention to his master. When Nushi finished, Goh nodded and himself spoke.
"It is not as easy as it seems."
Closing his eyes again, he quickly repeated what Nushi said in his head. He began to breath deeply, in and out, making his body more clearer. Goh was a very calm person and hardly nervous. Maybe that's how he got the nickname "The Crow". He still had in mind the state of complete harmony. Any bad thoughts would break that meditation. Having a completely blank memory, it was easier to break the bad thoughts. The white voice could already be heard, even if it was very faintly.

Nushi was listening to the stone as well. He wanted to know how quickly his charge managed to grasp this ability. It came easily to him due to his living here since birth, but Goh had no memory, and therefore would be more receptive to his surroundings with less distraction.
"I must say that I'm a little surprised," he said to Goh, trying to distract him and make it harder. "Most people would have laughed at the thought of stone having even a single voice, let alone many. This is a powerful ability. From here I can even tell there is a large battle about to go on in Otogakure no Sato." Then he paused for a second, hearing the stone focused on one other than him. "I see you have begun to grasp this. Continue. I will be talking to try to distract you, but you must not let me. You must get to the point where you hear the stone in your subconscious thoughts. At this point I will teach you to harness ti as a weapon."
OOC: Remember, it takes you 10 posts to learn, and you've made 3, so pace yourself a bit more and be more descriptive to fill out your posts.

Goh The Crow
|
Truly as Nushi spoke, it distracted Goh and he lost even the fainest of the voices. Opening his eyes again, he responded back.
"I believe everything has a voice. Those who laugh don't even try to hear it."
Goh listened to the last words from Nushi, then closed his eyes. His talking was truly distracting him, as he tried to attain the mind full of harmony. Somehow, it became even harder for Goh to concentrate. Strange reason it must of have been. Reminding himself of Nushi's words "You must get to the point where you hear the stone in your subconscious thoughts."; that were truly troubling him as that must of have been the point of it all.

Nushi was pleased to see Goh struggling with this. It would have been pointless if he didn't struggle a bit. Too many Genin needed a lesson in humility. "That's right. Clear your mind. Learn to block out my voice, as invasive as it may seem. Harmonize with the stone at the same time. I know it's difficult, but you must do this. It is a very useful ability. Using this I managed to defeat two jounin simultaneously without taking a single hit. They seemed pathetic in comparison to my power. Eventually you will be able to do the same, but you must first master this art. Remember, for now you must only hear the voices, not distinguish individual ones."
He was thoroughly enjoying this. He himself could block out the world around him, but it was a useless skill except in learning this ability. He could pick out a single distant voice among the stone several miles away.

Goh The Crow
|
Goh never had a feeling such as this, strangely he felt like he could know what is happening around him, even with his eyes closed. Not that he could know that he never had such a feeling. It meant that he was getting closer to learning this special jutsu. It was kind of hard with the exciting thought of how strong he could get under Nushi and constant talking was also bothering his mind. But that was actually the point of the jutsu, blocking that out. While still in deep breathing and with his eyes closed he tried to remain as calm as he could, with no disturbing. "Complete Harmony" was the key to hearing the voice of the stone. The faint white noise was the start of the process.

Nushi was a bit disappointed. The stone could hear him already, his thoughts, and what it relayed to Nushi was that Goh was trying to block out his voice. It wouldn't be so simple as that, but Nushi couldn't just tell him. He had to figure it out on his own. "Remember, you must achieve harmony with all of your surroundings. Let go of physical bonds and embrace all the world has to offer. Don't try to force it, let the stone speak to you. It can already hear you, so you are gaining some success, but don't let it go to your head. Overconfidence is what makes you fail."
He loved saying contradictory things. It helped the genin become more independant and able to form his own thought patterns rather than just copying Nushi.
|
Goh The Crow
|
As Goh meditated he overheard some of Nushi's words. He wanted to counter them but he knew that it would completely kill his meditation. Attaining complete harmony was really tough as he didn't have any tips or clues to completing this jutsu, just a simple mind. His mind was erasing all the filled spots in his head, trying to achieve a blank space. Goh was confident in his ability to reach complete harmony, but as Nushi said, he wasn't to be overconfident which would result in failure. Little by little, he would be able to hear the voice of the stone.

OOC: Alright, I think you can hear on the next post, and use the last 3 to learn to control rocks.
IC: Nushi watched with detachment as his student attempted to achieve harmony. This seemed to be difficult for him, even though he had said he had no memories. Perhaps that was the problem. To have no memories is to be incomplete. It could be interfering. He spoke to the stone, asking it the problem. His mind is not completely relaxed, the many voices replied. We try to speak but the words fall on deaf ears. He is, cantrary to your belief, a complete being, but his memories are inaccessible...
Nushi had an idea then. He touched the flat side of Banjaku to the top of Goh's head. "Do not be alarmed. I'm not sure if this will work, but perhaps hearing Banjaku will help." Banjaku then spoke to Goh. "Goh, my name is Banjaku, Black Blade of the Stone Master. One day you will wield me in combat and strike down many foes. Hear me now, future Stone Master, you must establish a link with the stone much as I have done with you. I can make the link, but you must understand and hold it. If you manage to hold it after I am removed from your head, you will be able to form the link easily thereafter.
Banjaku formed the link then, connecting Goh to the stone around him. Upon Banjaku's request, Nushi removed the blade slowly. "Can you hear it? Don't be discouraged if you can hear as far as me. I am much more experienced." If successful, the voices would come through clearly, not simply as white noise.

Goh The Crow
|
As was Goh meditating on hearing the stone's voice. He had an idea of the complete harmony, it was establishing itself in his head. Soon he heard a straight white noise that blocked out Nushi's words. He didn't hear anything, anything at all. But as he felt cold stone pressed onto his head, faint words reached his head. This was the final step to reaching the voice of the stone. Those faint words became louder and now he could hear what Banjaku was saying.
Upon receiving instructions to hold the link with the stone just like Banjaku linked to Goh, he prepared. Now he could hear Nushi's words again. The sword was removed from his head. Faint mumbling was heard at first in Goh's head. But then, the stone that he sat on felt like it became alive.
"I can... hear it..."
Goh opened his eyes and moved them at Nushi, then spoke.
"Master Nushi, I can hear it. I can hear the stone's voice."
Goh was satisfied. But the jutsu was not yet complete.

OOC: I would like to laugh at your choice of "Master Nushi", as Nushi is japanese for Master. lol
IC: The Stone Master smiled at his apprentice. He silently thanked Banjaku, who in turn thanked Nushi for allowing him to link with his future master. You're getting ahead fo yourself, came the telepathic message to Banjaku, and the blade responded that he would rather be safe than sorry. Nushi didn't blame him, and in fact admired his forethought. Perhaps I will pass you along before I die, he teased the sentient blade.
He turned his thoughts back to Goh then. "Very good. You will now be able to form the link at will, and eventually the link will be there constantly. But, there is another part to this technique. If your affinity for stone is truly as great as Banjaku suspects, you will have less difficulty with this. It is moving nearby rocks with your chakra." With that said, five rocks arose from the ground and started spinning in a circle around Nushi's body. "This can be a great defense, or a powerful attack." He sent the five rocks flying at incredible speeds, all 5 missing Goh by a hair. "Now, you try. It's not as simple as it looks..."
|
Goh The Crow
|
OOC: I failed. Nushi-sensei then?
Goh's eyes were spread open by the force of the stone. He saw the technique before, but now he could see it up close. Himself being an earth element ninja, this jutsu would be much of use. It was also time for Goh to try it himself and eventually learn it.
He slowly stood up and formed a single hand seal, then pressed it on his chest. Making a connection with the stone, he began to concentrate his chakra. Goh had somewhat of a feeling of lifting the stone and using it as a weapon. But it was no use, it wouldn't budge at all. He released the chakra and his hand seal. With no words, he looked at Nushi if he had some directions.
|
fyodor666
|
OOC: It's ok. Nushi-sensei would be better though.
IC: The Stone Master watched as his student failed to move the stone even a bit, and conceded that he could give a few extra pointers on this part, now that Goh had managed to maintain the link. "Alright, this part is relatively simple compared to the first part. With this, you don;t even need a seal. Merely release chakra into the ground, sending it to the rocks you want to move, and ask them to do so. It may seem difficult, but it really isn't. Not compared to talking to the stone anyway, which you managed. It doesn't take much chakra to do either. If it helps, you may make the Hitsuji hand seal to help mold the chakra into the stones."
He had never actually tried an assist with thsi jutsu, but the Hitsuji hand seal had always helped him when he was meditating. It was a focus.

Goh The Crow
|
Goh nodded as he received some valuable pointers to train on this jutsu. Thanking his master, he also got an idea which came to his head. Again he connected a faint but good enough link with the stone and slowly crouched. Goh wanted to this slowly and peacefully, with no rushing. And also doing it properly.
Now placing his hands down on the stone, it would be easier to infuse chakra with the stone. As Nushi said, he asked for the stone for a certain small part to move. Now releasing the chakra into the stone, it made a bit of a budge and slowly began to rise by centimeters. With shortly it all fell back into the ground. Goh made progress and he was at the end of completing this jutsu, now that the link with the stone was complete.

Goh's teacher was very impressed. Even with the pointers he hadn't expected this much progress. Nushi started walking over, but hesitated. He had an idea. "Alright, you made excellent progress there, but you don't quite have it perfectly yet. It was a very good start, but infusing chakra through your hands is cumbersome unless there's a rock wall nearby. The best way is either through air or through your feet." He then levitated five rocks around Goh and spun them fairly slowly, though fast enough to make them hard to dodge. They were each about ten feet from the student.
"At random, I'm going to send the stones flying at you. You can communicate with them through the link, and they will tell you when they are about to come if you're skilled enough. Your job is to deflect them with other rocks. Remember, you have an affinity for stone, so your chakra will flow easily into it if you allow it to. Tell me when you've made the link."
He waited for Goh to confirm the link, then sent the five rocksin at twenty miles per hour in fifteen second intervals. They would be simple enough to deflect with other stones if Goh had listened to him. If he didn't deflect them, they woudl slow to ten miles per hour before hitting, causing minor bruising and pain but no more.
OOC: One more post and you're done this jutsu.

Goh The Crow
|
Goh's training was almost at it's end. Only the final test was to be done. His head turned to Nushi as he began to explain what he will do. The five stones arose from the ground itself. Goh turned himself towards Nushi and the rocks and performed a link with the stone, now being able to hear them. He nodded to his master and prepared for the worse scenario.
The first rock already flew trough the air. Goh quickly reacted and placed his hands in front of him, rumbling a stone from it's ground. The stone was moving closer and closer at him and he still wasn't able to lift his stone high enough to deflect it. Nushi's stone hit Goh and it knocked him back on his back. Just as he recovered, another stone was already flying.
"I won't... I won't get hit again. No matter what."
Again taking the stance he screamed loudly so the voice went trough the cave and out, scaring the birds away. His stone rose up from the ground, deflecting Nushi's. Goh smirked. With now each of the five stones coming at him one by one he added a scream to each when he deflected.
With exhaustion, Goh sat on the ground and looked up at his teacher Nushi, smiling.

As soon as the five stones had been expended, Nushi released them. Goh had only been hit once, again exceeding the teacher's expectations. "It seems you have gotten the hang of this technique. It is powerful when used properly, remember that. Also remember that stone can deflect steel and flesh as well, so it is particularly useful against taijutsu users. Still, you have a long way to go before mastering this technique. As you increase in power, I will teach you the more powerful secrets of it, things that you do not yet have the skill to do. Regardless, this has been a huge step, and you deserve a break, though you don't have to take a break if you don't want."
He walked into the cave and made the dorrway into the back room. "There are any weapons in there you will require to train. If you get bored there are several tactical combat books in there, as well as half a dozen training dummies. The doorway will only last an hour, so get everything you want out before then." With that he Shunshin'd away, doing so several times while running towards Otogakure. There were double-teams going on there that he couldn't tolerate.
OOC: Jutsu learned and added to your profile. Since you chose to rank train I edited this post.

Malekith returned from his foray, bruised and bloodied. Those attacks the wind user had thrown at him had done more damage than he initially anticipated, and he had lost too much blood. He beckoned to Goh, who was still there, and held out Banjaku. "Use it well! Under the bedding in the cave, you will find a scroll detailing every jutsu I have created. It is up to you to carry on the legacy of stone now, as I bit off more than I could chew. Good luck!" With that, he took his final breath, leaving the world of the living and seeking the next life.
OOC: Yup, he's dead. I will trash my profile now.
