I would like to inquire about a battling system on this site.
Do you already have a system and rules or is it just fight how you will?

We don't have a defined system because we find it too confining. We battle freestyle here, but based off relative strengths and weaknesses.

@ Kaeor- I have RPed before but i do not believe i have battle RPed in the past.

@Haldur- Would you mind giving me a brief over view of how a battle would work?

Well, usually it's a one on one battle. Mixing any more gets too complicated a lot of the time. I don't know how to describe the battles that well, so I'll just give you an example of two of our more powerful characters duking it out for the Mizukage rank. [Link]

How interesting.
I suppose it could be because they are such powerful memebers of the site, but it appears that RP battles can go on for quite a deal longer than i am used to. It is a bit off putting in my opinion. Is there a certain point where someone may step in and decide the victor?

How long do battles last generally? And are there rewards for winning a duel?

Typically, there's a few rewards:

Getting new Jutsus
Gaining a Shinobi Rank (which is what I'm doing)
Getting money

It's according to who's RP'ing and what Rank they are is usually what will determine how long it'll take. Me and Syra are both highly-trained Jounin so that's why the battle's so long.

Im guessing the moderators and administrators are the ones who determine what rewards are received. Or can you determine that between yourself and your opponent?

Not really. Take training for a new Jutsu for example, if it's not a Kinjutsu. You can learn it either with or without a Sensei, and all you have to do is make sure you make good posts, at least one paragraph, and the number of posts needed. When it comes to Rank Training and Kinjutsu Training, then, yes, a Mod./Admin. will grade you according to how well they think you did.

Of course! ^_^ Just follow the Template, then a Mod./Admin. will come in and tell you what needs to be done, if anything, and approve or deny it.

Actually i have a few more questions. I apologize for pestering you about this but, do we create our own jutsu or are we required to use cannon jutsu from the manga/anime?

You can make your own (Using the Jutsu Creation board) if you have enough posts, And/Or use cannon jutsu's.

Um, actually battling won't reap many rewards. I suggest if you want jutsu that you do it in a training topic. Battles don't usually last as long as the one me and Katsuga are in the midst of; (In fact, I believe that may be the longest). And mostly the battles are because people enjoy the thrill of RPing a battle, rather than any other reason.

And yes, you currently can't make jutsu but since you don't start off with jutsu that won't make a huge difference.
