Look at the 250+ pages of random spam, people even admitted to getting off topic before I closed. As said, nothing wrong with using the chat threads for chatting with team members or if you need to contact them immediatly, send them a PM.

I have stated on multiple occasions that thread was strictly for my team and that the involvement of others was neither accepted nor forbidden. I primarily use that thread not as a chat thread to talk about anything, but to focus the team and get general consensus of my team. If you look at the first post, it neither gave a clear subject or criteria for you to say that anything in that topic is spam.
"Spam is the abuse of electronic messaging systems (including most broadcast media, digital delivery systems) to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately."
I believe that in my topic no one has done the above statement.
Also, you have stated that the majority of what was written in that topic was random. That is not true, if you look, participated, or even asked you'll see that everything was basically connected to the team in some way. Merely looking at it from an outsider's respective would not provide much substance to your argument since you clearly weren't there.
You have also stated that people have admitted to getting off topic in that thread. I'm am only going to ask you a simple question, when have people not gotten off topic in long threads? Matter of fact, I am telling you at times people may have, but I don't think that has hindered your site in any way or fashion. If it has, than I suppose this post right here has to.
Anyways, the brunt of my argument is your saying that my topic was spam when it follows everything the rules have stated.

Ok, fair enough, but how would using the Chat Thread to chat take away from your ability to chat? Although it is not a part of the official rules, it is a sort of de facto rule that making a topic which serves the same purpose of an already made topic is considered spam. Not to mention to Chat Thread is an "official" management made thread and it stickied for easy access. Not to mention there were multiple topics labeled "X Team Thread", where it could be easily condensed into a "one for all" thread, such as the chat thread.

Its less then 250 pages of spam...more like 200
That is a joke of course. The stated comment in that thread were jokes, well at least when i see it. The point of the thread was for communication between members of the squad, or people who dealt with the squad. Though this is a little open-ended. Them saying I posted continue, both of them had dealings with the squad or were part of it. We also use it for general squad based banter as well on a large basis. Though recently that banter has slowed down cause most of our squad were out do to, events. So most of it turned into post, post now. Now that most of our members are getting back in game, we do plan to use it for it's original use. PM's don't work so well when you have to communicate the same thing between 4 people who are usually together in topics most of the time.

Maybe they don't feel like wading through all the other banter? Reminds me of the other site I rp on. There's one big rp thread. Works there, but can suck sometimes.

For general chatting - Chat Threads.
For things to remain "in-team" only - Use PMs.
For things to remain "in-team" only to multiple people, use the multi-PM system.
I just do not see a reason to have a topic taking up space for thing that is already available.

I know where you are going with that. And still, 10 posts in the chat thread looks the same as 10 posts in a random thread. The activity level is not effected.

The forum would be dead except for 2-3 topics, which doesnt warrant its own sub/forum.

So instead of "Spaming" to each for things we need to talk about, you want us to "Spam" something else so others can read something that they can care less about?

Although can't write much, I have the following question for you.
If we were to use the multi-pm system, could we have a discussion on there like this thread here? I want to be able to see everyone's post and allow for the build up of ideas.

Uh.... no thanks, I was considering creating my own clan for this character.... It's listed in the dropbox if you wanna read about it.
Oh about the seals, their not jutsu's it all one seal that produces different effects of seals.
But I may, if the clan leader i pm about our clan's being similar doesn't like my idea of connecting the two clan's as branches....

If the thread has a purpose like discussing team missions, events, team progression, etc it is fine. But just having a 250+ page thread of just "I posted" is ridiculous. You can easily PM someone saying "Hey, I posted." instead of wasting topic space.

Theoretically, so if all team members send a PM to all Team members each time they send out the PM it would reach all team members, like a topic. Though making a topic made for intelligent discussions is easier...I just do not want a ton of posts of just "Posted". When you post on forums, you should try and make quality posts not 1 word posts.
