Tamotsu had taken the day off from his normal Hokage duties to do some training. It had been a while since he had trained, recalling his last real training was with Renima in the Wind Shire. He walked himself along the long forest that was the Hidden Dog Garden. The trees rustled softly in the air that passed through the garden, lifting cherry blossom leaves from their original spot. The birds chirping gave it more of a serene feeling that Tamotsu had been accustomed to for years. This would be the spot where he would begin his great training. He would call upon the forces of this garden and his hidden powers to become stronger.

He sat down between two of the oldest looking cherry blossom trees and began to meditate. He relaxed his breath to the point where his heart sounded silent to even a doctor's stethoscope. He closed his eyes as the cherry blossom leaves fell around hims slowly. As if for a moment, the leaves froze in mid air and the world was still. There was no air to be heard gusting. There were no birds to be heard singing. Solely the sound of a heart beating. It was a heavy slow pulse, akin to the kind that Tamotsu was beating. The noise of it became louder and louder until it almost pierced his ears.

The young Inuzuka stood up from the ground to see the world around him had paused and he began to see if he could smell anything. There was nothing to smell. There was not even his normal lavender smell mixed with meat. He walked forward pushing aside small cherry blossom leaves with his stride. As the leaves he touched fell to the floor, his eyes slowly began to blur and he closed them to try to fend off the blurriness. As he fought it, a figure began to appear. It was tall and seemed to have a robe on with markings akin to those in the Inuzuka clan. His eyes then returned to normal so that he could behold the sight before him.

"Inuzuka Tamotsu." The figure said softly as Tamotsu looked at him wide-eyed and confused. "My name is Jinrei, the father of a man who is called the Hokage. Yet what I see before me is a cub with no mark of his own. I mastered many techniques that my father called incredible. And here in this garden where my spirit rests, I will show you how to unlock that power. A power that will make you revered as the genius of the Inuzuka clan. But first, you must be willing to submit your body to pain of a kind that you have never felt." The man spoke as Tamotsu shook his head hoping the illusion would fade but didn't.

"You're not... my father." Tamotsu said softly as the man smiled and then bowed.

"Now that you have submitted your body, my son, we shall begin the most excruciating training you have ever felt." The man said as he pulled off his robe revealing a Black Ops ANBU uniform. His hair was exactly like Tamotsu and he had white fang marks under his eyes. "We begin..." The man held his arm down and a massive ball of lightning began to charge.

"What!? There's no way my dad knew Chidori!" Tamotu said as he looked at the lightning charging in the man's hands. He noticed a difference in it, however. It was not one hand, but both hand emitting chakra lightning.

"Not chidori..." Jinrei said as he looked up at Tamotsu and then held his hands up. "Lightning Release: Wolf's Grenade!!" Jinrei yelled as two massive blasts of lightning shot out of his hands and took the form of two wolves running towards Tamotsu.

"Shimmata!" Tamotsu said as he began doing hand seals. As he did, the two blasts exploded into him and Jineri looked pleased with himself. This however, ended when he saw a log had taken the place of his son. "Rasengan!" Tamotsu yelled out from above. Jinrei looked up as he saw the spiraling ball in his hands.

"A Rasengan!? He's tougher then I thought he would be!" Jinrei said as the two collided in a massive explosion of dust and leaves that were blown all over the place by the power of the Rasengan. The giant dust cloud was broke by Jinrei sliding out of it and looking into the cloud. He was panting having been caught off guard. The cloud began to settle and Tamotsu's figure began to appear slowly. "I see then. You're not like the Inzuka of old. You won't give up so easily. I'll show you technique which was forbidden in our clan to use until about a long time ago!"

As Tamotsu looked at his father, he held his arm a bit as it hand been cut. He thought back to the moment he had struck with the Rasengan, Jinrei pulled out a sword which broke into hundreds of small pieces but not before claiming a chunk of Tamotsu's arm. He had begun using Healing Hands to heal it. But then his eyes shot open as he sensed a chakra that was cold and murderous. One that sent a massive shiver up his spine. His father exploded with a massive amount of chakra around him. His hair began to stand and the two sides of it took the shape of wolves's ears.

"What is that?" Tamotsu asked shocked to see such a feral transformation. "It's like... he's pulling out chakra he never had! Or did he have it? Is he pulling out all the chakra he has?" Tamotsu began to think to himself as his father began looking more feral then before. His canines were extended a bit out of his mouth and his nails had become claws.

"This... is called... Ookami Jinei. The Wolf's Soul. You're grandfather banned it because it requires you to fight off near death while calling all your chakra to one spot in your body to manipulate it all." Jinrei said as he walked forward forward, the leaves on the ground seemingly blasting away from him.

"He's gathered so much chakra that his body is forcing it to be everywhere." Tamotsu said as his father took one more step and then disappeared. "What the-" Tamotsu said until a sharp pain struck his back and he was sent flying into three trees. As he broke through all three of them, making the tumble off to the side, Tamotsu's body slid to a stop som 50 feet away from the last tree into a clearing. Tamotsu was bleeding softly from his mouth as he stood up weakly, his knees ready to buckle. As he did, a huge force crashed into his jaw and sent him flying into a rock statue of a man, destroying it completely.

"And here I thought my son would have the better of me." Jinrei laughed as he looked at the destroyed statue. But his laughter came to an end when his son appeared below him and smashed his right leg into his jaw sending him flying into the air.

"It's... far from over." Tamotsu said as he was bleeding from his mouth, forehead, and right arm. His left eye was closed as there seemed to be blood dripping from the forehead beside it. Tamotsu jumped up into the sky as Jinrei began his fall back down. "Tsuuga!" Tamotsu yelled as he spun around and then arched down so that he connected with Jinrei's body, crushing into the ground while spinning. The man let out a blood chilling scream that made Tamotsu stop and jump away and looked at him.

"Is it done?" Tamotsu panted.

"Hardly." Jinrei's voice said coldly from behind Tamotsu. Before the young Inuzuka could turn around to see his father, a simple terrifying word came out of his mouth. "Rasengan." He said as the ball of chakra was slammed into Tamotsu's back. Tamotsu's eyes shot open as his world went silent and he flew forward spinning so fast that he lost all directional sense. Then with great force his head hit something hard and he felt as if his head had been ripped open. His body hit the ground hard and he rolled a few more feet before stopping on his back being forced to look up in the sky.

"Crap..." Tamotsu said in his head because his mouth refused to speak. His vision slowly blurred as the sky seemed to becoming darker. He felt colder as the darkness seemed to be more and more inviting to him. He slowly lifted hid arm up to the sky and he could see a silver and blue haired boy raking his hand.

"The fight is just starting. You can't give up just yet. You need to push all of your chakra forward now. Don't let the darkness win just yet." The voice said sweetly yo Tamotsu as he blacked out completely.

There in the darkness he floated a bit. His body suspended in mid-air as if there waiting to finally land. "I can't die..." A voice echoed in the darkness.

"Why not?" Tamotsu asked with his eyes closed as he floated in the nothingness. He could hear the faint beating of a hear all around him.

"Because you made a promise to everyone. Now... fight back and pull all your chakra to one spot." The voice echoed.

"How?" Tamotsu asked as his body land on the floor of the darkness.

"Get up first." The voice echoed.

Tamotsu sighed and then pushed his body off the ground. As he did, he stood around in complete darkness until a wolf with Jaken's exact appearance appeared. Tamotsu looked at the wolf with no emotion. "I'm up..."

"Good. Now... together... me and you." The wolf spoke as transformed into Tamotsu. "Do as I do..." The transformed wolf began to do 5 seals and then closed his eyes. As he did, the room began to change slowly into the Dog Garden. "When you complete it... you will return to fight on. This jutsu is forbidden because it has to bring you near death to learn it. Now, show death that you refuse to stay dead."

Tamotsu nodded as he put his hands together and collecting chakra to his heart. As he did, his eyes narrowed much like an Inuzuka and faint gray marks began appearing under his eyes. The darkness below him began to push away and reveal the grass and leaves of the garden. His nails began extending further as he could feel a massive surge of chakra pushing it's way forward now. He began breathing heavily with a bit of a growl in it. His hair began to stand one end and take a shape of wolf's ears. As he did, the world began to slowly return to the garden.

"Impossible... he's... not that strong yet... is he?" Jinrei said as he could feel a surge of chakra coming from Tamotsu's body resting on the floor. "Could it be... he found his reason?"

Tamotsu's breathing was more snarl like with growls as his green eyes were now his fathers and the gray fang marks took form under his eyes in completion. Then with one great howl from his mouth, the world exploded and Tamotsu's body woke up. As he stood up, the leaves on the floor began to blast away and he looked at Jinrei.

"Incredible... he has a fighter's spirit in a doctor's body." Jinrei said as he applauded Tamotsu. Tamotsu now had a from similar to Jinrei in that his nails were now like claws and his canines were much larger to look like fangs. His hair stood up to make it look like he had wolf's ears. He then dusted himself off and smiled.

"Like you said..." Tamotsu said as he realeased the first Gate exploding with energy now. "... It's far from... OVER!" Tamotsu blasted forward with damn near impossible to see speed. Jinrei looked on as he tried to follow Tamotsu's movements. "Take this!" Tamotsu's voice rang out as huge creaking noise could be heard. As it happened, large chunks of earth shot out of the ground.

"What the!?" Jinrei said as he jumped up into the sky to avoid the attack head on. He looked on bewildered that Tamotsu's power had gone up so much in such a little time.

"Rasengan!" Tamotsu said as he appeared right above Jinrei smashing the ball into his father with great force. "This time... NO BLOCK!" He said as he and the ball slammed Jinrie into the ground with great force to make a small crater.

Tamotsu panted as the dust cloud where he was began to slowly settle. His pants were more growls as he had become more and more dog like as time continued. He was trying to see if his sense of smell had returned to him but it had not and he would have to rely on sight and sound. He closed his eyes and began to focus in on hearing all that he could. He could hear the tiniest piece of rubble hit the ground as focused. Then the noise he was looking for happened and he turned around in time to catch his father's hand with a Kunai in it. The two stuggled as the dust settled and he could see he had returned the bleeding favor to him.

"You're not..." Jinrei began as he tried to get his hand down toward's his son's neck. "... that strong to live." Jinrei said as his hand came lower and lower towards the young Hokage. Tamotsu struggled to the point where he was grinding his teeth. "That jutsu... you just... activated is called..." Jinrei's kunai got closer. "... Ookami Jinei. It... force your body to... pull off the chakra to one place... on your body...." The two struggled again, this time, Tamotsu making the kunai with draw. "... because... if you don't beat me in.... 20 minutes... your body will face extreme exhaustion... and I'll kill you."

"That's 19 minutes too long. All..." Tamotsu smiled a moment as he struggled. "... I need is 1!!" He yelled out as he thrusted his free hand into Jinrei's stomach and sent him flying back several yards. Jinrei hit the ground rolling hard and rolled a few extre feet before being stopped by a tree. He stood up weakly as Tamotsu reappeared below him and performed another Konoha Senpuu sending him rocketing to the sky. As he flew up Tamotsu timed his descent back down because he had one final parting gift. Jinrei fell back down bleedong from his mouth and his back landed right on to a Rasengan with great force, feeling as if he been ripped to shreds as the spiral made him fly to a tree hard, destroying it.

Tamotsu panted as he father's body rested on the tree, battered and bloodied. "My father... was a man... who believed in the greater of people." He tried to regain his breath as the jutsu was cut off and he returned to normal. He was bleeding softly as he sat back down and looked at the body. He then fell back on to the ground and went into a sleep. As he did, he woke up from his meditation and spat up some blood. "Shimmata... that was almost... too real..." He said as he stood up and fixed his hair which had two small triangle shapes in them. He took a deepr breath and began healing his ribs. They were really broken.
